    On the topic of Holt and his signings does anyone realistically think McGlynn will get a tune out them?

    Tbf anyone playing alongside Brad McKay looked awful. It's absolutely horrific he's still got two years left.

    You'd hope Wilson, Sneddon and Holt jnr will get punted out on loan somewhere. Getting rid of the rest will be difficult.

    Given we already have Donaldson, Henderson, Watson, and McKay(shudder) as centre back options, not so sure he was a priority.

    And I'd very much doubt we'll get the Jaime Wilson type panic signing after a trial going into a season with one fit striker.

    I'll wait till I see what the squads are looking like nearer the start of the season but stating the obvious I think us, Dunfermline, Montrose should be in the mix, totally unsure on Kelty, QoS. Airdrie I'd normally have said would be a stick on for top four but they have a rookie manager.

    £££. If we can afford to throw £1500 a week at Griffiths for six month I'd say we are more than capable of putting together a half decent package for Spencer and we have let about ten players go. But as you say whether he'd want to drop a league is a different story.

    I think there is every likelihood a Raith player to Falkirk. I don't see it being him though at least not yet. I think there's more chance McGlynn is after Spencer first n foremost.

    Tbf to Davidson and St Johnstone they were victims of their own success in that their cup wins meant they got plundered for their best players. And obviously weren't able to replace them with similar quality. Bit like when we lost Vaulks and replaced him with Rankin. Not even in the same ball park.

    I see Raith have signed Scott Brown from Peterhead and Agnew from Airdrie. Brad Spencer incoming... ?

    Scott Brown is a decent player, we tried to sign him when McCracken and Miller were in charge. I think we would have signed him had it not been for the fact Alston became available about the same time so we signed him instead. Brown I would say is more than capable of doing well in the championship.

    I'm not saying for a minute Benedictus is the be all and end all but he's surely better than Brad McKay. Plus if he does sign we will have Henderson, Donaldson, Watson(long term injury) as centre back options aswell as the aforementioned McKay unless we can punt him.

    McPake also knows how to get teams promoted. Were Dundee promoted a season too early? Seems to have been mentioned in the press. Regardless I think McPake is a decent appointment, probably the best you could have got, that said he probably has to get you back up at the first time of asking. No mean feat in this league.

    I wouldn't be surprised if he ended up with the ex Falkirk fraternity at Queens Park.

    Hopefully decides on us so we never have to see Brad McKay in a Falkirk strip again.

    McKay, Hetherington et al getting emptied would be as good as a new signing.

    I think it's imperative we do,we have too many wage theives still on the books regardless of who we bring in. McGlynn might be able to get a tune out of one or two but he hopefully knows dross like Sneddon, Wilson, Holt, Ross for starters have to go.
