  1. I'm trying to work out what Poland need to do to qualify. How does the nation leagues bit work?
  2. Roald Amundsen, Edvard Grieg, Thor Heyerdahl, Vidkun Quisling, Henrik Ibsen, Ole Gunnar Solskjær, Queen Sonja, los hemos vencido a todos. ¡Los hemos vencido a todos! ¿Haakon VII, puedes escucharme? ¡Haakon VII... tus chicos recibieron una paliza tremenda!
  3. Liverpool as a city is fantastic. However when it comes to football Liverpool FC are the English version of Celtic and just as easy to dislike. Convinced that they're special (they're not, they're just a football club the same as everyone else), convinced that everyone in officialdom is against them (despite hunners of trophies to their name suggesting otherwise), and followed by an endless stream of glory hunters.
  4. I mean, I laughed a bit at the fourth goal but not enough for tears if I'm honest.
  5. I'd assumed as much, otherwise half the tix would be bought by celtic fans but worth asking. What about league games?
  6. Feel a bit dirty even asking this but its for a mate... A friend's daughter is studying in Glasgow later half of this year. The two of them are sports mad and would like to go to a Celtic (or Rangers, tbf) game. Do any of you know what hoops (pun fully intended) you'd have to jump through to get tickets for the away end for the champions league games? And are standard league games just public sale these days or do you need to go via the visiting club?
  7. Mildly ridiculous how we punted a "PR professional" and the clubs PR improved about a hundredfold almost overnight. Whoever is running the show behind the scenes at the minute is doing a great job.
  8. That's the away kit launched and as expected its a pink and grey number. https://www.greavessports.com/pages/partick-thistle Not as good as the original but I'll not complain.
  9. Torn between being pleased at Scotland exceeding expectations and equally furious at absolutely fucking blowing it against the Netherlands. Would really love the closed shop that is international cricket to be absolutely fucking torpedoed and it to become a genuine worldwide sport. I can't even pretend that the thought of England playing Australia YET AGAIN holds much appeal to a neutral. Put a new record on, I'd like to hear something different.
  10. Still regret not picking up the pink and grey number the first time round so no complaints from me if thats what it is.
  11. Cricket really needs to get past the whole "not in the spirit of the game" thing. If you don't want it in the game, change the rules instead of relying on entirely arbitrary applications of what is and isn't ok. Every single team does this, then every single team whines like little babies when it happens to them. McCullum pretending like his Murali/Sangakarra runout didn't happen and Broad pretending like 2013 wasn't a thing particularly hypocritical. If you ever want to see a grown man's head explode, find one of these "spirit of cricket" types and ask them to justify why umpires are even necessary in a world where the spirit of the game is king.
  12. Arrived today and reporting back as promised. Glad I went a size up - the neck is for midgets and the shirt is obviously designed to be tight on those of us with athletic bodies. For reference, i wear shirts with a 17" collar, normally buy XL tshirts and went for the XXL strip. Fits nicely - the XL would have been way too small. Re: the kit itself, O'Neills seems a step up from Joma to me. The sponsors print is part of the shirt rather than stuck on the surface so it won't peel off. Always feel like a mug forking out £50 for a shirt I'll only wear to fives but this was a #dece purchase.
  13. Ive ordered the GK top (cos I'm too impatient to wait for the away launch) and went a size up based on previous experiences / what the size finder on Greaves said. Will report back on the sizing when it arrives.
  14. The big void on the back takes the edge off it for me. Probably going to get the goalie top, unless the away kit is a belter. Anyone know when that one will get released?
  15. I like it a lot. I also, rather worryingly, fecking love the tie die keeper effort. Now trying to decide if I'm willing to spend £100 on two polyester tshirts. Probably not.
  16. The flip side of that is that elite clubs with effectively infinite sums of money are choosing Guardiola over anyone else on earth.
  17. Pulp tonight in Dublin. 10/10 Even had good sound for an outdoor gig!
  18. Not sure if this is the right thread or not, but a hell of a finish to the season in Belgium today: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65805961 With 89 minutes gone, Union Saint-Gilloise were top. With 90 minutes gone, Genk were going to be champions. With 94 minutes gone, Antwerp scored to win their first title in 64 years. Was there any other football today? Probably not
  19. I fucking hate football and everything about it. Taking the bookies to the cleaners has never been so unsatisfying. On the plus side, we're not managed by Malky McKay. Thats about all I've got right now.
  20. Lol. Can you tell him I'm on edge? That said, last week's one is even harder to describe as "never" a red.
  21. If you think thats "never" a red I can only assume that you've been in a coma for the last ten years. Soft? Aye Overreaction from Muirhead? Aye "Seen them given"? Definitely
  22. Can't be in Dingwall (mainly because 1630 on a Sunday in Dingwall is a ridiculous time for a kickoff) so now absolutely shiteing myself at home instead. Not sure I can handle more of the agitation, to be honest. Half tempted to switch my phone off until about eight o'clock ffs
