  1. Whilst our intensity definitely drops, 'Celtic are gubbed after the first hour' seems to be replacing 'Celtic are a shambles at the back' as the widely accepted Sportsound narrative folk are repeating as fact, despite evidence proving otherwise. We've conceded one goal in the league this season after the 70th minute, which was in July. We've also scored loads of winners past the 85th minute mark, including a couple past the 90th minute.
  2. The Sportsound panel currently scratching their heads wondering how the country that invented 'the playstations' are capable of producing good football players.
  3. Having inexplicably followed him on Instagram for a wee while, Andy Munro is without doubt one of the thickest folk i've ever encountered. Not in the least bit surprised he's on the wrong side of this.
  4. In terms of GVB, it does seem he's taken over a team towards the end of it's cycle. There are a few players there who probably fancy trying something different, this was evident at the end of Gerrard's time and i'm not sure any new manager was going to make these players suddenly change their minds. So in that sense, if this Rangers side were slowly sliding off the rails (which is an exaggeration of course) performance wise, it's a hard job for GVB to get the same group of players refocussed and back on track within the space of a few months. He may well just be a shite manager (which i hope he is) and them sitting off us tonight when other teams have shown we can be vulnerable under pressure definitely supports that, but i'm not sure he's quite at catastrophe level just yet. He's inherited a squad with a few problems i.e players getting fed up and losing motivation, i'm not sure that changes until the squad is freshened up a bit.
  5. What a difference a season makes! Very rarely do i go full sellik da, tonight is an exception.
  6. Aye you're right enough, the fact that we've missed what were previously our most important players - something which could have knackered our season, but signed players good enough to come in right away is very unusual for us, and we'll only get stronger now with those to come back.
  7. If i was a wee bit more of an arsehole i'd go and quote the hunners of sneering 'Angeball???? ' type posts but i'll not bother. A long, long way to go with a few twists and turns to come yet, but that was brilliant tonight. Everything we've tried to implement this season worked to perfection in the first 60 minutes, 100mph, non-stop suffocating football. We're missing Turnbull, Rogic and our best player in Kyogo, so the credit has to go to Ange for finding boys like O'Riley who could come in and hit the ground running in massive games - i can't recall ever having such a high hit rate as we've had with our recent signings. Aside from the GIRUY stuff, Jack was very good for Rangers in the second half and they'll improve with him in the side from here on in, he'll be handy for Scotland too. A wee bit concerned with how much we seemed to tire and Rangers could well have pulled one back around the 70 minute mark, but it's understandable with players just back from injury as well as the frantic way we started. Not getting carried away just yet, i think there'll be a reaction from Rangers now, but considering the state we were in in July having lost our best players and then latterly the upheaval with Dom McKay disappearing, the fact we're top of the league in February is something Ange should be applauded for. His ability to mould this team in his style, as well as identifying the perfect players for it has given us something that is great fun to watch.
  8. The statement has went well beyond a Scottish football audience, or even a football audience on Twitter, and there are four posts about this on the front page of the r/soccer subreddit, which has 3.2 million users, most of whom are in America. Even if they were to punt him immediately the negative attention Raith have attracted here will stick for a long time.
  9. Every statement emphasises the fact that it will remain free to play initially, so you can guarantee it'll be behind a paywall in no time, which is when i'll probably chuck it along with most others. Wee bit of a shame as i like the simplicity of it and the fact that it's just a basic website with nothing else on it, but fair play to the boy for making a few quid whilst he can.
  10. McCarthy will attempt to go through him on Wednesday and they'll somehow both end up injured and out for the season.
  11. He's the most 'if he can manage to stay fit' player in history, but it's a massive coup for them if he does sign, as more and more folk are starting to indicate. Slightly baffling at the same time as i'd imagine he'd have plenty offers down south. Although i suspect (hope) the deal may fall through when someone reminds him to pack his astro boots.
  12. There's an interview with Noel Gallagher on Youtube from the 20th anniversary of Be Here Now where he goes into a lot of detail about that time. Getting ridiculously famous, the chaos in the build up/hype to Be Here Now and then them slowly realising that they'd made an arse of it. It sounded like a great laugh to be honest, things like News at Ten giving updates on how they were getting on in the studio making it are just unimaginable now.
  13. Orchard Reserve sparkling cider from Aldi. The best cider you can find in a supermarket imo, lovely stuff.
  14. The quote from her Dad is a shocker, although there is a bit at the start of the quote which has been cut out of the screenshot going around. It adds a slightly different tone to it, but it's still a mental thing to say regardless. As others have pointed out, it does seem like his antics have been known amongst folk within football and the media, and that folk knew he had something like this hanging over him. I remember seeing a rumour on Twitter around a year ago of him having some sort of altercation with his girlfriend but nothing ever came of it. That comment on Reddit from last year isn't hard to believe. The more i think about it, the media buzz around him did seem to disappear pretty quickly last year, he went from being talked about every week as the next superstar, to going under the radar somewhat. In previous years his omission from the England squad would've been the subject of radio phone ins, endless articles etc but it was basically a non issue.
  15. Not a fan of that finish at all.
  16. Been out of the WWE loop for a while but just turned on, i see they're still doing the fake crowd noise thing? really spoils the atmosphere and any sense of authenticity/immersion for me. Big fan of Rollins' entrance there.
