  1. Really wouldn't be a great look if we stood whilst the England players took the knee. We'd end up getting cheered by the EDL lot thinking we were on their side.
  2. Not pressing with anywhere near the energy of Wednesday night, seems like it's almost deliberate to sit back. Can understand if he's maybe trying the tactic out for the Euros but surely you'd use the Netherlands game to play like this.
  3. Did everyone on here who bought tickets today have them cancelled previously or did these go on full general sale?
  4. Fucking joke from the ref there. He's been absolutely rotten
  5. In the past i mind watching us against teams when they'd bring on some player from Inter Milan or Atletico Madrid and thinking 'thats the difference, what chance have we got when they have players like that on the bench' etc. How have we ended up at the point where we're bringing on a Chelsea player for the last 10 minutes to give him a run about and try something different?.
  6. A few occasions in recent games where Dykes might've been looking at a sending off had there been VAR. I love the snide w**k side to his game but he'll get away with f**k all at the Euros.
  7. Milking head knocks, going down with minimal contact and then the whole team screaming at the ref. This is the Scotland i want to see, start the imaginary card patter and we're getting to the semis minimum.
  8. Like to see Gilmour on for McGregor at halftime, assuming he hasn't spent the last few days pished with the Chelsea team.
  9. Too many kids playing the playstations and too many no ball signs. And Bevvy.
  10. Cracking finish but that's so poor, the tracking of the run then the amount of space he had to hit it.
  11. Classicfootballshirts's prices went mental about 2 years ago for retro stuff. Bought some Scotland surplus shorts and training gear, as well as a Genoa fleece and 2002 player issue AC Milan training shorts and bottoms a while ago for very little. I bought a few old 90s Celtic shirts on ebay about 5 years ago before the retro boom for next to nothing. One of the shirts i bought for around £30 now goes for around about £200. I do think the retro and CFS bubble will burst shortly with the DHgate efforts getting better and better. Just had a few DHgAte 90s Scotland shirts delivered and they're not far off being bang on. Much better than the score draw/toffs versions without the sponsors and manufacturer logos.
  12. Can understand it might be a hassle to organise with social distancing and time slots but having folk sit in the ground for hours before kick off without food and drink facilities would be a nightmare. Anyone reckon there's even a slight chance of getting a ticket for either the Czech or Croatian game when any returns are sold this week?
  13. The boy has links to the City group, who Lawwell's son works for - folk on Twitter saying that's the link.
  14. Absolutely. If it's a Roy Keane or someone of that ilk i dread to think what renewal rates will be like - especially with full attendance looking unlikely for a while yet too.
  15. The rumoured candidate they're in 'advance talks' is meant to be Favre, although i don't see that happening.
  16. He was a revelation around that time, can't remember feeling as excited about a Scotland player as i did after that game away to Macedonia, thought he was going to be our top class talisman who would single handedly lead us to tournaments - despite being in his mid-late 20s and only being a bit part player for Watford. That 2013-15 early Strachan era is weird to look back at now. Really felt like we were on the cusp of something at the time, but if you look back at it now we had a very average squad with very little to get excited about. We are by no means an elite side now but to think we have players playing for Liverpool, Man United, Arsenal, Chelsea and then a few playing key roles for mid table PL sides, it feels very different to Strachan's team, although arguably the CB/RB positions were stronger then. Think perhaps after the Levein era we maybe got a bit carried away and pinned our hopes on players who were in reality, fairly average. Clinging on to the hopes that Mark Wotte would revolutionise Scottish society and that Jack Harper would captain us to glory whilst being a mainstay in the Real Madrid side, alongside Islam Feruz who would no doubt be in contention for a golden boot at some point. It's all quite funny and strange to look back at now. Having said that, the buzz after the Ireland game at Parkhead was up there with the best times i've had watching Scotland, really felt like it was our time and that it was about to click.
  17. Again i'd have him in, but I've found it a bit strange that a lot of folk have lumped Gauld in with Gilmour and Turnbull as being one of the future, and an example of Clarke's supposed reluctance to pick young talent. He's 26 this year - 6 years older than Gilmour and only a year younger than Andy Robertson. Not sure folk realise his move to Sporting was 7 years ago this summer.
  18. Gauld the only real complaint, but other than that i can't really remember being as content with a squad announcement - usually there are a few contentious omissions/selections. Wouldn't have been against having Griffiths there in some fashion but no real surprise that he isn't. He's known since November that he would have the chance to play in a major tournament this summer - never mind how much this/last season meant to Celtic - and has still been unable to get himself anywhere near full fitness. Don't want to go down the "he's only got himself to blame'' route given his well known issues, but there's no real injustice to him being left out here. Think Nisbit has taken his place as the player you chuck on and hope a chance falls to.
  19. Aye i'm certain they're told in advance, think that video might've just been him seeing his name up there officially for the first time. Isn't there some sort of form that's sent to clubs a couple of days before hand to release them/say they're fit to play? might be wrong there.
  20. It might well be doctored, but do folk normally stick their finger up at *that* bit of Sweet Caroline?
  21. Aye I definitely wouldn't put that beyond the mad da element of our support, but the clap sounds, arm raising and so on are bang in sync, surely it'd be more noticeable if it was dubbed?
  22. Couple of pals who support Rangers were out yesterday and said that you could sort of feel the atmosphere change a bit around 6pm - whether that be due to more numpties starting to appear or just a day of drink starting to take hold - but they decided to head up the road then as they were starting to see more and more bother. Not sure if it's down to the whole situation with Rangers over the last 9 years, and the perceived injustice/siege mentality that comes with that (which the club have definitely stoked with their PR tactics, rightly or wrongly) but i've felt since they won the league in March that loads of the celebrations have been laced with an underlying anger and aggression, you could see things like this happening a mile off the minute they started to plan the get together at George Square. If i was a Rangers fan i suppose i'd maybe want to rub the rest of Scottish Football's noses in it too, but i find it quite bizarre to see the complete joy and jubilation go hand in hand with pure anger.
