  1. That's blown my mind. I don't really think of Shane McMahon as being part of that generation but he's two years older than The Rock, the same age as Triple H and only a few years younger than Austin, Shawn Michaels etc. When those four were in their pomp in the late 90's, it still felt as if Shane was being portrayed as a teenager, and even now it still feels like he's too young to run the company himself, even though Vince was doing it from a much younger age.
  2. Taken from the Sun so pinch of salt and all that, but the current line of thinking seems to be that he did use his police status to get her into his car, possibly using lockdown regulations as a reason to speak to her. Speculation at this stage of course but brutal stuff.
  3. Aye, It's much easier for us to sit with the idea that the men who act like complete wronguns towards lassies are all the stereotypical, caricature creepy weirdo types, complete outliers and not like us, rather than to think about the fact that they might be pals, colleagues, family members etc.
  4. I've had similar conversations with lassies i have worked with or lived with in Uni halls, i was absolutely blown away by the fact that pretty much every single one of them had some sort of story of being approached/groped/followed/stalked etc with a couple of fucking horrific stories of full blown sexual assaults in the middle of nightclub dance floors in clear view of others. I think most men acknowledge that stuff like this goes on, but most of us have absolutely no idea how common it is, and that seemingly normal lads can be complete creeps.
  5. Aye, he lives out there, 60 miles from where she was last seen. Although i think it has turned out to be a different wooded area than the one they were looking through yesterday.
  6. The sad ending which seemed increasingly likely as it went on. They were searching the woodlands right next to the policeman's house last night, if that's where the body has been found then f**k me he's not the sharpest.
  7. The lassie is supposedly quite well known in London marketing/media circles amongst folk around her age which is why i think it got the initial traction it did - plus someone seemingly vanishing into think air whilst walking in a busy area, not even that late at night has probably made it stand out. Seen a few folk mentioning missing white woman syndrome too but i'm not clued up enough on that patter to make a judgement on whether it's at play here. It really is quite a chilling case this, the police element adds a whole different feel to it, there were rumours of a hit and run where he's chucked her in the back of his car afterwords but there's nothing confirming that just now. You'd have to think with him being a policeman he'll be fairly savvy in terms of what to and what not to say at this stage.
  8. I see the predictable rent an opinion gobshites on Twitter are already going down the 'Piers has been censored, woke cancel culture is taking over!!' which of course is being lapped up and parroted by the types of folk you would expect. The culture war stuff is tedious as f**k, we're becoming more like the states every day over here, which is only going to get worse with the launch of the two new channels. The tabloids have fried folks brains over here but it's not a patch on what Fox News has done to America, i do fear we're heading in the same direction, if we're not already there. Also if i'm not mistaken gammon became widespread from that Question Time before the snap election where loads of middle aged English chaps with bright red faces were foaming at the mouth and shouting about immigration/brexit. Someone on Twitter compiled photos of their faces and commented that it looked like a wall of gammon and it's been used quite commonly ever since.
  9. Find it hard to believe this isn't part of some co-ordinated stunt by Morgan and that he'll end up with a big gig somewhere else. Although he's nailed on to end up on one of the new gammon channels. He's a complete and utter c**t but quite a savvy c**t when it comes to enhancing his career prospects/publicity, not a chance he's leaving with his tail between his legs like the folk celebrating seem to think.
  10. ''the Buckingham Palace stalwart, 94"
  11. The boys who swindled Katie Hopkins a while back have done another job on royal commentators, by getting them to comment on the interview before anyone had seen it. Pretty mad this, shows how much the pre-set agenda is at play here. Sadly thickos up and down the country will still base their entire views on shite folk like this come out with.
  12. Got it from Drink Supermarket - https://www.drinksupermarket.com/estrella-damm-inedit-beer-75cl?gclid=Cj0KCQiA7YyCBhD_ARIsALkj54ofWQgAlwbrmOzoHmHLayY5bQasFoVmj_HJ85Hkz-UfXq1A77xLbSUaAjxvEALw_wcB - although i think Tesco now have them online for 4 quid, which weren't in stock when i ordered. I first heard of it when Gary Neville of all people said it was his favourite beer, and then have seen it mentioned a couple of times online since and it always seemed to have good reviews.
  13. Fancied trying Estrella Damm Inedit after hearing a few folk rave about it recently. Got quite a unique taste but i'm enjoying it so far, although the cheapest i could find it was just under a fiver for a 750ml bottle with the average price being closer to the 6 quid mark, so i doubt it'll become by usual tipple.
  14. Budweiser Prohibition is decent as far as non alcoholic beers go, much better than Becks Blue, Heineken's offering and maybe even regular Budweiser. Tennents one is shite and that's coming from someone who is very fond of the real stuff. It doesn't taste even remotely similar to Tennents, i'm not sure why they bothered really and i find it a bit puzzling if that's went through loads of testing before release, for them genuinely to think it was good and worth putting out.
  15. It was incredibly one sided and sensationalised, and made it seem like there was no possible explanation for his conviction whatsoever. Which has of course riled the numpty Twitter detective types who think James English is Scotland's answer to David Frost. Will be interested to see if the second part goes into any actual detail in regards to the other side of the story but i'm not expecting it. Channel 5 exists for no reason other than to rile folk up by making things seem black and white, so any rational, analytical discussion would be a surprise. Not claiming to know the ins and outs of every bit of evidence in the case, but know it was a lot more complex than is being made out here.
  16. I go to games quite regularly in England at different levels and the ability to have a couple of bottles at half time is quite nice, and it just seems daft that a few miles up the road we're not trusted to do so based on a law which was brought in to combat a football culture which is drastically different to the current day.
  17. You hear this nonsense argument regularly but i've yet to find anyone who has has said they need a drink at the football, it's just whether the option should be there or not.
  18. Always wanted him to do well but McBurnie has been woeful in a Scotland shirt. As others have said Dykes offered us more in his first 10 minutes than McBurnie has during any of his appearances. Been unlucky the odd time hitting the bar etc but in terms of his general play there have been numerous occasions where we may as well have been playing without a striker - extra time in Belgrade was probably the best example of that.
  19. I see that's now 16 games without a goal for Dykes. A quick look on Twitter and the general consensus among QPR fans seems to be that he isn't even close to being good enough for that level. I've been hoping he'll come good down there, and in In my mind i'd still have him starting for us after how well it seemed to work in October/November, but i do think in ordinary circumstances fans wouldn't be too chuffed with a player struggling to kick his own arse for a bottom half Championship side getting called up. I suppose it comes down to the whole argument of whether you pick players in form or go for a settled squad which remains constant regardless of club form.
  20. Reaction to this amongst folk i follow on social media has been nuclear, major feeling of Sturgeon pissing on folks chips today. I think folk were maybe bit (understandably) carried away with the optimism of yesterday and it's sunk them to hear that we've still got a bit to go. I do understand folks frustrations with the general vague approach from Sturgeon and her refusal to give an exact roadmap like Johnson, but can see why she hasn't done that.
  21. Why on earth is he kicking that?
  22. Ah f**k sake that’s some try
  23. We should’ve been out of sight here
