Being involved with a local football team I am unaware of any correspondence from DFC asking us to back plans etc. Dumbarton isn't somewhere struggling for pitch availability that I'm aware of either so don't think it's going to be a big selling point. Plenty going around even without the debacle that is Dumbarton academy

5/10 for wednesday

Well guys the 1st round of the inaugural P&B Cedric Kipre's Christmas cup (I did ask for sponsorship names and NJ2 was only poster to come up with one - sponsorship is always welcome so further suggestions will be considered) is complete. Some teams decided not to turn up, some posted but didn't let me know so those teams forfeited their ties (unless you appeal and the board decide to hear your plea's). Kincardine (6+7) v scotfree v WRK A walk over for kincardine as his above average score of 13 wasn't even contested by his opponents. Eednud (5+9) v Madwullie v Wilky1878 Another walk over this time benefiting Eednud. The search party is out for his opponents. JamieT (0+5) v willieA v peasy23 (4+6) The rushing around to field his team cost JamieT in the 1st half as his disjointed team failed to find the net. A 2nd half rally failed to overturn Peasy23's advantage. WillieA was another one away on his jollies. Leeds saint (3+8 )v Tynieness (8+8 ) v The DA - (4+6) The only 3 way tie to be fully completed was closely fought. Tynieness drove home his superiority in the 1st half, blowing his opponents away with an excellent 8, Leeds saint matched Tynieness' score in the 2nd half but it was too little too late. The DA took the 1st half twice and still couldn't beat Tynie's score. The captain(5+4) v Swarley (3+4) v Supermik The final 3 way tie was always going to be a head to head with supermik refusing to work weekends. The captain raced into a halftime lead banging In 5 goals to swarley's 3. The second half was evenly matched but swarley couldn't find that little bit extra to force extra time. SlipperyP (5+7) v Johnnydun (0+2) SlipperyP had this one sewn up at half time as Johnnydun had a mare. SlipperyP didn't let up in the 2nd half banging in another 7 and ending johnnydun's cup hopes for another year. Gman_1985 v Cardinal Richelieu (4+7) Another no show gives cardi a walk over. Although through to the 2nd round cardi was disappointed with his 1st half performance so any potential 2nd round opponents beware. Dee62 (2+6) v LiviLion (5+8 ) Another 1st half performance that done the damage and left Dee62 with too big a mountain to climb in the 2nd half. LiviLion banged another 8 past a dejected Dee62 to seal his passage into the next round. Alang1993 (3+6) v FrankieS Alang1993 danced along to shangalang as he moved into the next round courtesy of FrankieS being another team to take a page out of the Estonians attitude to football book. Deej (3+5) v Jacksgranda (5+4) The closest match in the cup so far went right down to the wire. Deej will rue the missed chances In the 1st half as Jacksgranda managed to hold off a late barage from a spirited deej in the 2nd half. AFJ (4+4)v BWV (3+5) Both these sides traded blows right to the final whistle. AFJ took a slender lead into the break but BWV rallied in the 2nd half to force extra time. Dyl (1+8 )v Gkneil (2+5) Dyl had a shocker in the 1st half and was deservedly behind at the break. Gkneil thought he was home and dry but the hairdryer treatment at half time worked from dyl and he smashed home an impressive 8 in the 2nd half to get his name in the hat for the next round. Helpma (4+7) v Blackislekillie (3+7) Another close contest and it was hard to separate these 2 sides. Helpma took a slender lead into half time but BIK tried his hardest to get back into it in the second half but Helpma managed to hold on and match BIK's 7 to see him through. MSU v Ross Both sets of supporters were left fuming as their hero's both failed to show. This match has been sent to his eminence for ruling to see what team from another match progresses to the next round. Cowden0 (8+9) v NJ2 (5+8 ) Performance of the round goes to Cowden0 for his demolition of NJ2. An impressive 8 in the 1st half was followed up by a near perfect 9 in the 2nd to go through with a bit to spare. Big shout to NJ2 for his 2nd half performance and his sponsorship of the Xmas cup. Welshbairn (4+6) v Bigbo10 (2+5) The final tie of the round was highly anticipated and welshbairn managed to conquer the nerves first and get into a 2 goal lead at half time. Bigbo10 put up a fight in the 2nd half but welshbairn seen out the match to progress. So with 1 tied match between AFJ and BWV a tiebreak looms. However with 1 tie left unfulfilled there leaves a space for the next round. Cardi and the masses can rule on the fairness but the options I think would be: A. Both AFJ and BWV progress B. Tiebreak between the above and the remaining 2nd round place goes to the highest scoring runner up. Oh and I got 2/10 for Tuesday.

Still waiting on a whole host of cup scores. If you are one of those who don't want to PM me your score and expect me to check the league tables on the site for your score, then at least have the decency to use the same name as on here otherwise I have no idea who it is!

I will check the league tables to find some scores of the stragglers on Sunday. I will make sure the questions get more festive as the cup progresses [emoji38]

I can't guarantee I will check the league table at the end tbh lol so PM them would be easier.

Haha I done that to see if it was working before posting it on here. Deliberately got one wrong to check both wrong and right answers showed up correctly, no half measures here, fully professional. Well that's the story I'm sticking to anyway [emoji12]

I quite like talk sport however since they employed that despicable cretin Joey Barton I turn it off as I get stand him, mike parry isn't much better and all he does is shout folk down as he doesn't ever has any credible arguments. How they get away with some of the stuff they say/tweet is unreal. If I tweeted half of it I wouldn't have a job in the morning!

I still think we should have some sort of penalty for scores not being in on time. The top leagues been won by someone posting all 5 in one go after seeing everyone else's scores. I know we all have faith eta etc but just saying [emoji14] just call me a grumpy auld git mulling around at the bottom

Not to bring up any past demons or that but......... Our junior neighbours seem to be doing well against a certain big name junior team, plus they were down to 10 early on.

1st 6 right, then Madonna and Belarus for a beautiful and pleasing 8/10 which should see me safe in mid table in the donkey league
