  1. You're about to play a team that's lost 4 in a row, conceding 12 goals in the process and we've not won against Arbroath since we came down and beyond. What were you expecting, an abundance of confidence?
  2. Driving into my estate the other day, which is just off a roundabout, I see a car ahead of me at the next exit of said roundabout reversing back towards me. At this point I'm off the roundabout, but I'm thinking what a zoomer and intrigued to see this maniacs plan as it's normally busy. Anyway nothing bad happened, he then drives into my estate, tailgating me all the way around as I followed another car, they are going a bit slow but it doesn't bother me as usually kids playing in the street. I get to my destination, I'm slowing right down now, at this point just to annoy the c**t even more as I gradually pull up outside my house to turn to give him a lip reading challenge and he's looking at me like I've got two heads, as if he's not just reversed around a roundabout literally 2 minutes ago. Looked a bit like a pound shop Billy Bright, but reckon I'd have had him.
  3. I have absolutely zero interest in women's football. It's hard enough getting enthusiastic about Partick Thistle. Definitely feels like it's being pushed too hard.
  4. That's quite simply astonishing, I'd never thought (had time) to do a comparison. Thank you for providing that, that's a superb insight and if I wasn't concerned before, I now am. As has already been said, where on earth is the money going!? I do feel overpaying for players and wages could be part of it. However, saying that, it doesn't fully wash. Brian Graham was on Jagzone (I think) recently, mentioning how much of a cut in wages it was to go from County to Thistle, whilst this could be a bad example given County and overpaying wages is probably commonplace, for me it doesn't immediately indicate we're pushing the boat out for players and I'd have thought BG would have been one of the highest earners. You didn't happen to do any analysis/comparison of our wages, salaries or dividends by any chance?
  5. Could be yeah, I was meaning just from a general financial perspective. Heard a few fans giving it a bit "we're doomed" financially, which isn't true. I've not even looked at any others, are we talking championship teams? If so which ones, out of interest? I would wholeheartedly agree a sustainable business model for the club would be great and no the £500k doesn't seem to have been well used. All that's come and gone in the past when Colin Weir was involved has rather clouded our financials.
  6. The £500k didn't concern me really, given lockdown and the way we spent money. Yes long term not feasible, but for now, I don't think it's of great concern.
  7. I don't usually engage in rumour mill stuff online, but, I did hear something happened during the festive period that may have caused some issue between McCall and Rudden. Could be total bollocks, although I've always thought it was odd to loan out our second best striker while pushing for promotion. The financial rumours, I'm not quite sure yet where the substance is for this, having had a look at our companies house filing I don't think there is any immediate concern, we're definitely not rolling in it though. The ownership situation, is a total mess. Seems to be lacking in so many areas, I don't feel Low is particularly as vocal on it all as she normally would be. I'm unsure if this is a sort of 'say nothing, sit back and wait for it to fail and then say I told you so' situation or she doesn't want to be as involved in the club as she was before. I fully expect fan ownership to fail to get off the ground either way. The football right now and even prior to these three defeats, lets face it, was not that good at all. We've shitfested countless 1-0 games this year, we've rode our luck and for a large part of it relied on what was a very solid defence. I think you can apportion a lot of blame for this quite rightly across, the pitch, subsequent fixture pile up, injuries, some very meh signings and McCall trying to shoehorn players into positions they just don't play in. I still back McCall to sort out the football aspect of the club, that doesn't massively concern me. The ownership situation is growing increasingly concerning though.
  8. We've looked horrendous in the last couple of games, without Tiffoney and Graham we are meh as f**k. Imagine this will either be a 0-0 shitfest or a defeat for us.
  9. That's quite potentially very bad news. Fingers crossed it's not a ransomware attack and if it is, they have the necessary DR / BCP ready. Some big companies getting done recently and not having the proper measures in place, just look at KP who've just had an utter shambles. Last two of my contracts I spent a huge part of it on putting measures in place to avoid and prepare for if it does happen. It's painful stuff at times, but it's a lot less painful than not being ready for it.
  10. I recall this establishment, indeed horrendous. Actually had a curer early doors in there a few years ago, was alright actually. I was not alright, hence the curer. Is that shitty chippy across from Haymarket still there? Was awful, but always seemed to be open at any hour, was a few doors down from my gaff so somehow thought it was a good idea when pished. Number 1 kebab or whatever it was called on Morrison St. was definitely not the number one kebab either. For some reason I have a habit of revisiting crap takeaway places, The Taste of Punjab on Argyle St was awful yet I probably had many a kebab out there. Again, at the time, gaff proximity and alcohol was my downfall.
  11. Ah I was just jesting my good man. I do agree, it's absolutely murder to try and trim a long beard yourself, when it gets to the point that it's longer than any guards.
  12. Beards do tend to get a bit of hate and divide opinion. I often find the people who dislike them are unable to grow one *I'm not fat, quite lean in fact, maybe even muscular perhaps?
  13. Got hospitality this weekend and genuinely considering a big reduction in face hair to avoid something like this!
  14. Soup and crisps for me are dangers. I've trimmed mine back a fair bit as it gets quite wild otherwise, it's a nightmare if you go too far with the clippers.
  15. Ended up growing a lockdown beard, shaving it off and the missus said I looked weird so I grew it back again. I'd like to think it's quite like Tom Hanks on Castaway or Richard Dormer at the end of Fortitude. Unfortunately due to the trimming of the moustache part regularly and having a big beak, the lads all post Amish pictures on the chat regularly. Great, funny looking b*****d with or without beard.
  16. After Saturday this feels a bit meh, but need a win really. When's Tiffoney back?
  17. Joining yous and ICT in the 3/4/5 battle. The amount games and tattie field have probably taken it's toll. Despite leading against Morton for most of the game I didn't think we played that well. Slim chance for a title push if we win the next three, but that won't happen, but would like to think we have enough to secure top 4. Feels likely Killie will win the next two and if Arbroath drop any points it's all over.
  18. Maw and da referred to them as sybees and I remember when I was younger thinking, what the fucking hell is a sybee, thought it must have been some Scottish version of a spring onion, but it was just a spring onion. On the subject, fresh chopped spring onions on top of a good spicy pad thai is lovely. Also can confirm they are both weird and weegies.
  19. The concept of passing a ball that doesn't bobble 5 or 6 times before it reaches a man, might throw us a bit.
  20. There was fans handing out flyers about for the Jags foundation at the game last night. I think that may have been the first time I've ever seen that at the game, wonder why they're only doing this now* *They may have already been there and I'd had quite a few in the Woody and never noticed. Find these international call-ups of under 21's that interrupt league fixtures quite annoying tbh.
  21. Poor defending to give away the penalty, pulls Smith back when neither of them are on the ball, referee has no choice. Looks like if he was less concerned about pulling Smith back he could have actually played the ball. Lovely to get another win though, but our finishing has been very poor recently and really needs to improve. Alegria unlucky in the first half, that's a cracking save from the Queens goalie.
  22. Quite enjoying the seethe the pitch is generating now, maybe we should do this again next year.
  23. Postponements could really cost us, with Morton improving and beating us and now Queens much improved. Think B365 still have it at 19/4 and us 2/5, mental, we are no where near clear favourites. Hopefully sneak another 1-0 shitfest at the tattihad arena though
  24. This is just auditors all over, soulless robot b*****ds, unable to comprehend it's nigh on the weekend and no one gives a flying f**k about anything work related.
