  1. The Danes are even better at that sort of nonsense than we are. Hard to say if that's reassuring or not lads. Feels like a lot of sense of entitlement in the UK.
  2. Glad to hear it was an easy resolution. I would agree, I've always found the citation letter's to be rather unnecessarily officious.
  3. Still not back in the office, missus back to work and the wean is in nursery.
  4. I wonder if crap like this is posted on people's Facebook pages in other countries, can't imagine this being the kind of patter from the Danish. Maybe just too many easy targets for bots in the UK.
  5. Going to be a right laugh this season with Stone and Sneddon seemingly competing with each other to see who can make the biggest goalkeeping error. Stone's got some way to go to beat that though. Graham is massively frustrating as well tbh, misses far too many good chances.
  6. I've found the sheriff and high courts in Glasgow to be fairly reasonable in terms of excusal requests. I had various reasons for requesting excusal, I think the key thing is for them to realise that you're going to be a risk of not making it through no fault of your own. Which was the case for me. If you're regularly working away at short notice or for long periods of time then I'd say they'd likely to just want someone more reliable. I wouldn't even consider having to pay the fine, I think that would be quite unfair.
  7. A few years ago, there's not a lot on the island at all. Kim's kitchen at the village hall used to do food, unsure if that's still the case. I don't want to put you off but, 5/6 days on Rum could potentially be a bit long. Probably see the whole island in a couple of days.
  8. I think in recent years our record is probably quite favourable. This will be an interesting game, Caley have won every game so far 1-0 and we've scored 3 goals in every game barring the Arbroath game. So McCall's "we'll just have to score more" is probably going to be required. I do really enjoy watching our football right now, first time in ages we actually look quite a threatening side going forward. f**k it, Caley to get their customary goal, Graham x2 and Rudden x2, 3-1 the real Thistle.
  9. A big lassie with a sort of normal sized face. Absolute Tinder nightmare in other words.
  10. I played a fair few game of 5's against Ian Ferguson (Hearts one not Rangers) I was a lot younger and had no idea who he was. It was a keenly contested game particularly between me and him, remember saying to one of my workmates for an older lad he was some footballer. He laughed and was like "aye ex professionals tend to be like that, scored against Bayern before by the way"
  11. Something like working in a care home would be fairly high on my list, the death of old people wouldn't bother me, but watching them suffer the indignity while helping them seems quite sad. But a cancer ward, with kids on it would absolutely crush me. The staff that work there must be like stone.
  12. I've had a chat with Tony Blair in the past. Can't really divulge much more...
  13. Superb timing from our 1yr old yesterday when she pointed at one half of the gay couple next door while shouting "gay!". Fortunately we get on really well with our neighbours and he thought it was hilarious, while confirming to our darling daughter that she was in fact correct. Just to confirm as far as I know she's not a little homophobe, just recently she's putting a lot of effort into words and sounds, has "Dad" and "Daddy" sorted, for some reason she's been practicing a lot of 'G' sounds, which recently became basically shouting "gaaaayyyy" sometimes while pointing at me or the missus. Great. The pointing thing she's always done.
  14. I quite enjoy when other people get irate about it, I also like when people have ridiculous names, you read the email signature and immediately have to share it with a colleague so you can both laugh at it. Got an email from a guy called, Michael Michael Michael and I had a voice conference with him in attendance later on. I joked he should maybe update his signature to Michael 3 (cubed) he responded with "nice one mate, never heard that one" fair response looking back.
  15. It was the ultimate 'could have been me' I think. I mind my first job a couple of years after it happened, a lad in the office said he was staying in one of the buildings next to the towers that was destroyed in the collapse. This was a week before it happened. In my head I was just thinking "w****r" but I was a young lad so I think I just said "wow, spooky" I feel everyone knows someone that has some sort of 'could have been me' related to 9/11. Though the people that missed any of the flights, for whatever reason must have been in utter shock.
  16. My surname would rarely be a first name and I still get emails with my surname. First name is unfortunately one of those with multiple variations. Get many emails that go unanswered by myself for being incorrect. I'm a petty c**t tbh.
  17. I was still in school, remember another teacher came into the class and left with our teacher. Was odd the way it happened, so speculation mounted and then she returned to dramatically announce a plane crashed into the world trade centre in New York. Any learning seemed to stop, everyone piled round TV's that could get terrestrial channels. No one had smart phones or anything. I had football training later, loads of people didn't turn up.
  18. Thanks for checking that. That's very bleak indeed. Although, I guess we've won plenty league games that were kinda televised (streamed) so maybe the curse will be lifted. *narrator* 'the curse wasn't lifted'
  19. Coupled with its moved so it can be televised, our record of televised games is absolutely awful I believe. I can't actually remember the last one we won. Can't wait for this game then.
  20. My school had a swimming pool, vague memory of it not being too bad actually. Although there was an occasion where we all came out the changing rooms lined up ready to jump in and one of the lassies shrieked at this wee furry dead thing in the pool. Turned out to be a dead rat, the PE teacher grabbed one of the pool cleaning nets, scooped it out and was like "right in you's get" more or less met with a resounding "are you having a laugh!" After a short debate swimming class was cancelled and pool was closed for cleaning. Given the amount of chlorine always present it's a miracle we survived swimming in it, never mind a rat, so I'm sure it would have been fine to carry on. Although I don't know anything about the ratio of diseases carried by rats to the volume of chlorine treated water for it to be safe.
  21. Would be good if he had a fight against an actual professional boxer (that isn't a money making exhibition against Mayweather) having him listed as winning 4 professional fights against guys that aren't boxers just makes a mockery of the sport. If he's serious about this then he should be working his way up ranked boxers in his weight class, but he's not, he just wants the money. Perhaps he knows the first young but fairly experienced professional boxer would knock him out.
  22. Had thought that, seems odd to troll your own fans, but then again I have doubted he's a Thistle fan in the past.
