  1. I'm absolutely gutted we're not there, this is glorious.
  2. I thought Falkirk fans were kidding on about how shite they were.
  3. Fear levels through the roof today, I don't feel we massively deserve to be where we are, but now we're at the top and have a chance it's like... Don't f**k it up now. Calling it now, I think we'll f**k it tonight, we looked really nervy against Cove. Might lump it on Falkirk to win.
  4. The fear fully setting in now, Thursday after work the beers will be getting tanned. We actually don't look that tired, even at the end of the game last night, but we look a bit nervy and not taking our chances as well. Really need Bannigan back in the team and I really didn't think I'd say that this season.
  5. That was a tough game, I think missing Banzo, the nerves and the amount of football played seemed to be getting to us, the nerves mostly. Annoying to give away that penalty and felt like if we took our chances we could have been ahead at half time. Having said that, Cove play some decent passing football and overall a draw probably fair. I actually think Cove are probably the best team I've seen over the full(sort of) course of this league, except perhaps ourselves in the last 5 games.
  6. Absolute this, it's amazing how angry you can get at being unable to squeeze past parked cars/vans while trying not to go up and down too many pavements and risk waking the wean. I don't think I ever appreciated how annoying this was until the wee yin arrived.
  7. Hartley is a smashing ball boy here. Edited, actually don't think it was Hartley, smashing job whoever it was.
  8. Glorious tbh. This was the same sort of attitude from my guy, he was the "Business optimisation director" a kind of 'he's been there so long we better add director to his title' type guy. Absolute bellend, so tight it was unreal, I saved them a lot of money on monthly cloud costs in the space of a month (in fact almost enough to cover the cost of my contract) and I genuinely have never seen someone so excited abut work. He never attended social things and always seemed to be working and acting as if he was under a lot of pressure. I think a lot of the seethe was generated as they tried to outsmart the agency by advising them they ended my contract while trying to get me to go perm, which I advised against due to my contract had a clause that I couldn't work for them again for 6 months. So they ended up paying a ridiculous finders fee which the guy I worked with told me the amount. Me and the guy at the agency got accused of being in cahoots about this fee as the date I handed in my notice was shortly after them paying the final instalment.
  9. The whole 45 minutes thing would be a tough call for me, on one hand it's an excellent opportunity to go in and f**k with someones business and the person ordering someone to do this should really know better, extremely naïve thing to do. I'm meaning nothing major, but I could easily subtly cause a bit of disruption on my own. On the other hand, lying sleeping in bed is also nice. I left a job at the very start of 2020 after being there 6 months, it started as a contract but went perm as someone let slip they were going to bin me as soon as they got a perm replacement. They'd been burned by the last guy leaving with a weeks notice and a three week holiday so I had a 2 month notice. I never worked all of it and ended up leaving early by about a week, as I needed to start a new job then. But the manager was absolutely furious about this, possibly furious I was leaving after having to pay an agency some mental fee as well. I had more or less control over everything in terms of technology that ran their business, if it was me I'd never annoy that person. Anyway, nothing happened after it, except I didn't get paid for that week, which I obviously was fine with.
  10. On behalf of Partick Thistle fans, cheers Fraser Fyvie.
  11. Aye it's best you get yourself acquainted in this part of the forum the now.
  12. On behalf of Partick Thistle fans, cheers Montrose. Hope you's make it up (via the playoffs obvs)
  13. Superb to get 4 wins in a row. Falkirk thread could be a good read tonight tbh.
  14. That's probably the most enjoyable Thistle game I've watched in about 3 seasons. I didn't even think Montrose were that bad, we're finally just taking our chances which is rather good. Bannigan's freekick was quite lovely, really didn't expect a goal, lept off the couch like a fucking idiot to celebrate.
  15. Would be very likely back in 2013 when we were promoted. I can't recall of any particularly good run since then, except from perhaps one season when we won a couple of friendlies and then every league cup group game. I'll be absolutely amazed if we win our next three games let alone seven.
  16. Definitely people stealing dogs and not just a cyclist and someone walking through the park.
  17. Absolutely this for me as well. I feel like he's terrified of an injury prior to a play off scenario, but I feel like it's a gamble not to field a consistent team at the moment. On the plus side, Clyde have played 4 games in 10 days, with a further 2 games this week. That's a lot for even professional players.
  18. Makes sense with some of posters on here past and present.
  19. Close enough, it is public sector and has reminded me why I usually avoid it. I think the response I got to questioning lunchtime meetings was "ah it's ok just go on mute and eat lunch, it should be limited input required" I can assure you I'll limit my input m9. The most useful meetings I've ever had are the ones that are like "fancy a quick 15 mins to chat this over." I can't believe people will expect c***s to sit through an hour long meeting, no one has the capacity to concentrate that long.
  20. I've never had any issues in pubs on the sub crawl, which I guess is weird as you're going in with a fairly large group of usually a mixed crowd by the time everyone's "other mates" have tagged along. I think certainly pubs and clientele have grown used to the sub crawl now and are slightly more tolerant (don't hate everyone) Is the P&B Sub crawl still a regular thing?
  21. Book in "Focus time" or "[Insert project name] time" It's mental, but my old team had to do this to avoid basically attending meetings all day. I've since stolen it in my current contract as they love a meeting packed day, f**k knows how they get any actual work done, talk about doing work a lot though. I've had to resort to private meeting a lunch hour every day because c***s can't seem to comprehend the basic human need to eat/drink.
  22. Arguably our toughest fixture when the remaining games were released, East Fife are comfortably the best team playing at home in the whole league. Given how pish we've been, we'll be lucky to get a point. Can't believe East Fife are 2/1 at home on B365 against us, well worth a punt at that. Unless Tiffoney starts and McCall stops fucking about with the defence I think this will be grim.
  23. April Fool's day stuff is absolute yer da' patter.
