Really? I genuinely think he's one of the worst in the league. Any game I've seen him ref has been an absolute lottery as he just let's everything go at the breakdown and the offside line is non existent. The positive is we seem to win a lot when he's in charge, probably because we've had him so often we don't evan bother to try and be "cute" and just blatantly wander about offside and flop on top of every ruck from the very beginning.

From what I've read, Scarlets are only resting Owens and Parkes. All the rest are straight back in and they will be bringing a strong team. If you look at their conference this is actually a huge game for them, especially as they are already more or less out of Europe.

We are being talked about in a very similar way to how Wales were at the end if the last AIs. Just like then, I don't think we are anywhere near as bad as we are being made out to be. It might not do us too much harm to be back under the radar and written off just now to be honest. I don't think at any point this series did we put out our best team, even discounting injuries, and it showed. I also think we clearly used the Wales game as a vehicle to test out a pick and go forward dominated game. I'm not saying we lost on purpose, but the patterns we played were very un-townsend like, same in the first half against Fiji. I think there is more in the tank and we might get a few surprises come the 6 nations and world cup.

Yeah, I hope so, he's a good player. There is definitely a confidence issue, probably for the first time in his career. Certainly two seasons ago he would have backed himself all the way with both those breaks. It's telling that he looked to pass both times. Grigg on the other hand looks full of confidence. It's the six nations though, the biggest and most important tournament in rugby outside of the world cup, with many of the best players and arguably the best team in the world playing in it. It's one of the biggest sporting events of the year, with each game being played in front of packed stadiums. It's a bit different from being asked to shell out £30 to watch Scotland play Isreal in a match that very much is not the pinnacle of the sport inside an empty hampden.
