  1. For all we've had a lot of young and inexperienced players out there, it's been Gray, Jones and Nel who've been a bit of a let down here.
  2. Stupid from Gray, just recycle if you are short, you are never getting that.
  3. To be fair, it was the same at Scotstoun when Glasgow played Saracens. Reynal is very lax round the breakdown.
  4. We were much better after the Welsh try, but still too many mistakes. Watson throwing the ball away, and Price's grubber to nobody to gift Wales the ball back right at the end the most memorable ones. Think we are probably a bit lucky to be only 4 down, it needs a real improvement in the second half.
  5. Shooting ourselves in the foot all over the park here. Turning over our own scrum with an early shove then 30 seconds later it's a try. Even at this stage an 11 point gap looks big.
  6. Scotland struggling here. Wales going forward with the ball fairly easily, we are giving away far too many penalties, especially on our own ball.
  7. Grigg and Harley have been really good tonight. Not sure they'll ever really be test level players, but in games like this they are massive.
  8. Yeah, I don't actually mind them quickly checking something like that, it took two seconds and they got the decision right. It's the bullshit they spin when they don't that pisses me off. Especially in world cup quarter finals....
  9. I honestly thought he meant it. Also agree with you about the commentator, but the seething from the stands us making up for it.
  10. Missed the first two minutes, so f**k knows! See Blade Thompson got strechered off in the Edinburgh game. Doesn't look like we will be seeing him this autumn.
  11. Still tight but would be quite disappointing if we don't win this. Seems like we can score a few more tries here. Ospreys going for that kick at the end instead of going for the corner suggests they might not fancy themselves to do the same.
  12. I'm not sure Gibbins will play for Scotland to be honest, as nice as it would be. I think he must be about 30 now, and though I'm not 100% sure when his residency period will be complete, I guess he'll be 31/32 by the time he's eligible. It's not really our style to go for a guy like that, at that age. Especially with Watson, Wilson, Bradbury, Ritchie, Fagurson all being younger than him.
  13. I'm pretty sure Tommy Allan was born in Italy, and his mother is Italian. I don't even think he was ever offered a pro contract by the SRU for Edinburgh or Glasgow, though obviously he played for Scotland at U20 level. Also, the residency rules have been changed, it's five years now, though it's only for players freshly arrived, so we will probably see Oli Kebble in a Scotland shirt in 2020.
  14. Yep, to name the game after a man who is dying, but not contribute any of the gate receipts to his foundation is utterly shameless stuff from both RFUs. Yep, they've cynically used the guy's illness to try and shift tickets (at about £65 each I'm sure )for a game that nobody actually wants to see, especially since it's going to be between understrength sides. It's a disgrace to be honest. Meanwhile, 1st play 2nd in conference A and 2nd play 4th in conference B. However, instead of being two of the biggest games of the season, it's going to be between reserve sides. Teams that will be even more understrength than usual during AIs and 6 nations, as their players will be filling the gaps left by the guys who play abroad. Real mouth watering stuff.
  15. A Munster player elbowed a guy in the face after he'd taken a conversion and didn't get cited. I'll be very surprised if any action gets taken against Stander for that.
  16. Tough one last night. Thought the B team played well against a strong Munster side, and you'd have taken two points before a ball was kicked, but the manner of the loss in the end was very disappointing. Ospreys away next week looks like a big game for the conference. Bit of a pity it's going to be played out by two reserve sides because of the "charity" event in Cardiff.
  17. Pretty sure that's in the Pro 14 mate. I was meaning the European games.
  18. It's a pity we have to wait till December now for the next round of matches, for both Scottish teams. It would be great if both sides could get through. The way its set up as well means Edinburghs double header against Newcastle should be absolutely epic. Hopefully the big names can get through the AIs unscathed and give it a real go. What a difference to last year.
  19. We have a real good chance now to go through I guess. Back to back Lyon, who have hopefully chucked it and a home game against Cardiff who could be out by then as well. Can't see us beating Saracens in London, but 18-20 points should surely be enough to see us through in second place?
  20. Did Bath actually punt him? I thought we'd poached him .
  21. Yeah, you are right. It was just a minor whinge. A game full of errors suits us, the broken field and counter attack opportunities play right to our strengths. Don't think we are seeing a tournament winner in this game.
  22. I'm fully expecting Gareth Anscombe to be named MOTM.
  23. I actually think the commentators have been ok, but you wouldn't really think we were 24 points up listening to them.
  24. Pretty sure the ref missed the obstruction there due to the strip clash. Should have been warriors pen.
