  1. Anyone else got a bad feeling about this game on Saturday? I really hope we can avoid the up the jumper shitfest Georgia will be keen to drag us into. Hopefully the plastic pitch will help.
  2. I don't know. They just shipped three tries to a team who look like they just met last week. We needed that win. We got dragged into a shitfest and came out the other end. That is unlike us, and very important. Thought Laidlaw was fantastic and Wilson was brilliant when he came on. He's so much better than the Edinburgh boys, and should be one of the first names on the teamsheet next week. Really need Nel back for the 6n though.
  3. I'm somewhere between Edinburgh and Falkirk listening to these weird bumpkins speak. Fucking hell. like. eh. Ken.

    The Walking Dead

Neagan is now the most boring thing about this show, and that's some going when Morgan and Carol are still kicking about.
  5. Yep. In fact, I think with the possession they had and the back row problems Scotland had it would have been more of a bottle job if Australia hadn't scored at the end. Some of our defence was heroic.
  6. I don't think you have a clue what you are talking about in all honesty.
  7. We didn't bottle it at all there. That was a great game but we didn't have enough in the tank at the end and the early injuries meant we couldn't freshen up the back row.
  8. Great try from Australia unfortunately. Bummer, because we've played well. We can get at this team at least, but I think if we are to win it will have to be a high scoring game.
  9. Beautiful kick from Russel for the try. Defending well before it too. If only we could catch a kick off!
  10. I would have Wilson in the team every time ahead of Strauss. I think he's a massively underrated player. His defence in particular is excellent and I think after Grey he's the player Glasgow miss the most when he's not playing.
  11. This sums Ulster as a club up. Clock running down, losing, and still more interested in getting a penalty at the scrum.
  12. Yeah, they need to pull themselves together a bit here and get hands on the ball.
  13. So it does. I never noticed before.
  14. Slagging the ref here for giving Ulster everything, but that's a Try all day long!
  15. I guess they are a young team, and that will happen. It's good to see a change of direction from them rather than the journeymen of the last few years.
  16. Edinburgh playing well though. Such an inconsistent team, but when they are on their game they look great. Still wouldn't be surprised if they tanked the second half!
  17. Ref doing Ulster a few favours there. Three pens in a row could have easily gone the other way.
  18. I always put in and usually take a poppy, but again, I don't always wear it anymore. My grandad flew fighters with the RAF in WWII and my great grandad won the DC in WWI and I knew them both and saw how it affected them and always just got one because of that. However the whole thing has been hijacked and ruined. It's lost its meaning and in Scotland has basically become another old firm scumbag argument.
  19. It's worth saying as well though that however bad Glasgow were, Munster were really good. That's the best performance a team has put in against us in a while, and the coped with going down to 14 men easily by hammering us up front, taking our backs completely out the game.
  20. We've been ragdolled everywhere. It's a horrific performance and it's going to make qualification very difficult.
  21. Truly appalling from Glasgow so far. It was never going to be easy, but they haven't done the basics. Need a big start to the second half.
  22. Giving a clearly wrong penalty in the last seconds of the game and earlier binning our winger for trying to catch the ball had a pretty major effect.
  23. Yeah, spot on. I don't see it changing much to be honest either unfortunately. As you say, it seems to be policy now. The worst one I remember (and I can't remember who the ref was), was the rwc 11 final. It was clearly decided New Zealand were winning and the refs job was to make sure it happened. Just looked it up. Craig Joubert, the guy who cost us a semi final at the last world cup.
  24. I think your last line is the real reason. I don't think the players actually respect the refs at all to be honest. I have it on pretty good authority that Owens for example is considered an utter twat by a lot of players, who wish he'd just ref the game rather than making sure everyone watching on telly knows how important he is. The problem is the refs in rugby can decide who wins fairly easily. You can't afford to get on the wrong side as it will just make things worse. A ref can basically kill any attack you have, and ensure you never get the ball back. And if he gives millions of penalties against you he can justify binning players at will.
