  1. I've the plumbing for one but we used the gap for a tumble drier This is way better than football chat. Toasters: 2,4 or more slices? We have four.
  2. Not sure the 5 subs rule necessarily benefits bigger squads more. I understood it was to cope with fixture congestion (and resulting fatigue) and players having enforced absences (so being less than match fit). If you've a squad of 25 with 16-17 starters then your starting lineup is going to be much less flexible than a 35 man squad with 20 odd potential starters. If you've four games in 10 days a big squad can pretty much have 2 teams playing two games each. A small squad will have 7-11 players that need to start each game so not running them into the ground will help. When they're actually needed i'd say the relative benefit is greater for small squads. If Celtic have tired players they just won't start, irrespective how many subs they have.
  3. If that's right, and i think it is, the opposition needs to start making this an issue about the behaviour that the Tory Party is willing to accept and not just a Boris thing. Because it is, they're all entitled hypocritical shit heads.
  4. I'm sure the white bit on his nose is just a trick of the light.
  5. They don't need intensity. Just an attack or two should do it. We may well score but i can genuinely see 5+ going in our net. Can we just get this over with
  6. Elevator pitch- "Picture this: the world's worst movie, just two hours of smug p***ks smelling their own farts without any redeeming features. Plus blackface" "next!"
  7. I'd like to see Porteous get sent off for something worthwhile, like doing this to Morelos :
  8. If she doesn't quite make it do we keep the extra bank holiday and get an extra day or two for mourning? I'll need it because i'll be really really upset.
  9. Dons to be denied clear penalty. Celtic fans in tears about the ref. "Only three points"
  10. It was fully Ocean Financed before the bank wrote a load off and some local businesses types paid off the balance. Dave also coughed £3.5m to get us through Covid. We're stable now but were a basket case in 2003.
  11. I don't speak for us all but i'd say Third is the target. Europe is acceptable. Top six is bare minimum. I could almost accept a bottom six finish if we were showing some sort of direction. Bottom six and getting worse should be a sacking. I guess if i gave it more thought the continued existence of the club would be higher but it doesn't seem that salient now. Maybe we're spoiled.
  12. I'd like to test a theory. Did **redacted** post in the wrestling forum?
  13. Billionaire sugar daddies. Real ones with actual money. Not embezzling bankers, Saddam Hussein's lawyer, that guy with the perm at Hibs or the legendary comedic double act of Green & Whyte.
  14. You're probably right. Hopefully we won't find out. Keep Celtic to a one goal margin plus squeeze past well and we'll all be fine.
  15. I still say "piece of pie" when something's easy. Most people don't get the reference and assume i'm a moron. I was thinking of 2001 as a nomination for this thread. The book is decent but the freudian shit about the diving incident was pointless and dull. The book's more literal exposition of the events of the end isn't as good as the expressionist approach that Kubric takes. I read the book first though so might still be a bit puzzled by the end otherwise. I'll also nominate The Third Man. I'm a huge fan of Graham Greene, but he wrote the book as a storyboard/script for the film and it all just feels more film-shaped. The film is an absolute masterpiece. All other Greene books better their films (that i've seen), even Dickie's Brighton Rock.
  16. Pretty sure this was also McInnes style after about November 2020
  17. When we do play long balls it's usually because the midfield hasn't come back to pick up the ball so we probably played long more often when he was on.
  18. Yes, i remember the premier division (i think) and the SPL. We never called it the Premiership though (although England isn't officially that anymore either) and we certainly didn't have a championship with league 1 under it. Partly it's shit for marketing the "product" , partly it's bad for our collective self esteem to be copycatting the bigger neighbour, but mainly it betrays a lack of imagination in the running of our game.
  19. I'd say we lack the football knowledge. I completely agree that we haven't maximised value for our player assets. Some of that's probably down to poor judgement. More of it is down to poor players. Most of it is down to not being able to renew contracts because players know that the transfer fee increases the cost of hiring them and reduces their wage. Tying players down for longer is a high risk strategy. If we offered 5 year contracts as standard we'd have a lot of shite like Gleeson and Forrester still on the books taking a wedge. Better players would probably want shorter deals anyway as they'll usually see us a a shop window for a championship money gig. A Celtic fan lecturing smaller club fans on how to run club finances feels an awful lot like a Tory Hedge funder saying unemployed people could easily get work. Even the yo yo clubs that have been good at monetising their players (Hibs, Utd) haven't managed it consistently or benefitted massively.
  20. Circumstantial evidence would suggest that Sky are almost unaware there are other clubs in Scotland
  21. I don't think Mansfield will be the lowest level he gets to. Shitebag.
