  1. “Optional service charge” added to bill gets on my tits. It goes in the tips in most places, so I usually just pay it instead of a tip but with no guarantee it’s going to the staff.
  2. It's heated up to improve the flavour, not to be served hot. For VAT reasons.
  3. I think the thought process was that England gets lots of money, we want lots of money, so we should be like England. Unfortunately we now look like an Aldi knock off version, which suggests we have no merit of our own. Genius. For nomenclature, i'd go: Top Adequate Seaside Diddy
  4. It’s a finite resource but it won’t “run out”. The economics of exploration, production and selling it will determine how long it’s economically viable for. Those are affected by technology (both oil related and substitutes) and the global economy. It’s perfectly consistent for North Sea oil to be part of an energy strategy until 2050 but for its economic benefits to drop off well before that. There’s also been a fairly seismic in geopolitics that means we can’t be as reliant on overseas supplies. I’m not suggesting that Wood was right (predictifying something like that is a mugs game) or that Sunak is anything but an opportunistic money grabbing c**t. Just that there’s no reason for two different people to have the same view on the future of the oil industry a decade apart.
  5. Garfield (2004) Lazy greedy anthropomorphic cat has an adventure in half arsed family Tom com. Bill Murray is ok as Garfield’s voice. Other people out of stuff are ok. Garfield learns stuff. For the sub genre of live action films with main characters with inaudible voices, it places above look who’s talking too and Cats and Dogs but below Baby Geniuses and the original look who’s talking. I thought I’d hate it as much as I hated the strip and the car toys in the 80s, so meh is a big win. 4/10
  6. It’s a bit of a stretch blaming north sea oil for the dry grass. Some of our climate change comes from America and China.
  7. I knew Livingston had a lion as a mascot but I don’t think I’ve ever heard “the lions” as a nickname before. I don’t have a problem with it , just saying. Home win, single goal scored as our defence introduce themselves to each other.
  8. Western: Warm crusty bread with oil & vinegar dip Cullen Skink Braised steak in red wine, mushrooms and shallots with champ and cavolo Nero, pecan pie with clotted cream with sparkling water and a cabarnet Sauvignon V Eastern Mixed satay skewers (king prawn, chicken, beef)) Beef Rendang with nasi lemak, all the trimmings, nuts, Sambal, crunchy ikan bilis. Lychees. Big bottle of tiger. All off the menu for the foreseeable, due to dietary constraints.
  9. Yeah, I still do that. It’s a no lose gamble.
  10. I used to push them as i was walking past, with no intention of crossing. Girfuy
  11. His couple of run outs last season he looked like he's got a decent touch and can pick a pass. He looked rattled by the pace and physicality of playing against grown ups though. Pre season with Shinnie might have sorted that out. Still would want a proper replacement though.
  12. I didn't realise we had so many deaf posters. Holy f**k
  13. Thought he was going to say "eh oop, here we go, backs to t'wall lads" Quite good timing tbf. Seen much worse routines on mock the week.
  14. People have this outdated idea that a personal omnipotent God has to be an old man with a beard. But it turns out that guy only did the fjords.
  15. I wasn't entirely serious. If he's off to Serie A as reported we should have a six figure sum to fund a replacement, and it sounds like it's been on the cards a while so hopefully we've options lined up. If he is off to Serie A then that's also a great story to pitch to potential targets.
  16. This is based on an assumption that the limiting factor for the number of good Scottish players is club’s training budgets. A good chunk of the top 50-100 or so Scottish players would probably be abroad anyway but a limit would mean that the cheeks stockpiled even more of the remainder. The other teams going into Europe would be expecting players of the natural ability level currently at mid table championship to be competitive in Europe just because they’ve spent more on their coaching. But Scottish good foreign bad , right?
  17. I thought that’s what the Hector interview was going to say based on the clickbaity headlines but it looks like he’s just saying he’d have liked to be part of the league cup final, while saying polite things about his loan spell because he’s going to be playing against us tomorrow. Unless there’s another interview I missed.
