  1. Robinson said on the radio afterwards that Aarons hadn't played in two months and was cramping up so I'm surprised he lasted as long but, yeah, looked promising. Strangely, it felt as though we had more chances last night than probably the Livingston and Aberdeen games combined but need to be more clinical.
  2. We were made to pay for not taking our chances in the first half and taught a lesson in the second half. Edouard has incredible quick feet and that free kick- ooft! Quite liked the look of Aaron and was surprised when he went off rather than Hylton but Robinson said he hadn't played in two months and was cramping up.
  3. I wasn't either but am now swithering after sitting through that performance at Livingston on Saturday. We need an option up front and it isn't Bevis Mugabi.
  4. What were they thinking? The BBC could maybe have let them do their own thing with episode 3 and also have got them to do proper episode in the same theme as the first two.
  5. I don't normally catch the early evening airing on the BBC Scotland channel but watch the later screening on BBC 1 or 2. Went to put it on tonight to find they're not showing it because of a combination of the Super Bowl, women's football and women's rugby. Maybe a blessing as it was bad enough seeing Motherwell's non-performance live without having to watch it be disected.
  6. I was given a bottle of Glenrothes Select Reserve by my mother-in-law for Christmas. It's NAS and I didn't know what to expect but I'm really enjoying it. Strangely it doesn't seem to be available anywhere when I look it up.
  7. It's obviously not a new town but there was a huge expansion of Hamilton in the 60's, 70's and 80's. A large number of the incomers must have come from the Motherwell area as well as all the usual amount of Old Firm supporters. I've always put the large number of Motherwell supporters in Hamilton down to that. I grew up in Hamilton but my dad started taking me as a young boy (think it was some sort of punishment) and my friends from Hamilton that I go with all have Motherwell supporting dads.
  8. I think we've got good money for Scott as I think Hull will be the highest level he'll play at. I hope I'm wrong but I just don't believe he's quite got enough to really stand out. Also, much as £1.5m makes a nice headline, the fee is obviously less than that as the club has said it's less than O'Donnell (£1.75m) and McFadden (£1.25m). It's hopefully over £1m which I still believe is good money for him.
  9. There was also the game at St. Mirren when the stewards and police decided to surround a large section of the stand containing younger supporters. Again Chick Young described it as a riot. There were vanloads of police reinforcements arriving from Ibrox and everyone cordoned off got their details taken- all over a nothing incident. Anyway, with Scott away, who's going to score against St. Mirren?
  10. Unfortunately any club we approach now will know we have money and are desperate. On the other hand, I like Scott but am not convinced he's going to progress to the point where we'd get much more than that in the future.
  11. I had heard that Hull had come in again but wasn't expecting it to be that much. If so, I don't think we can knock it back.
  12. You could probably put Falkirk and Dunfermline in that bracket too. If anything, a number of those teams (including St. Mirren) would probably get much higher attendances than we do if they were doing well, as Killie showed last season. I don't see the chat as being condescending, there's just a bit of excitement at the prospect of a wee cup day out and a ticket scramble caused by the size of the stand we have been allocated (and normally would be). I'm sure St. Mirren would take more than 1600 if the game was at Fir Park, there just wouldn't be an issue with that. It's also noticeable there are few St. Mirren supporter involved in the thread so the Motherwell chat can seem a bit overwhelming.
  13. And Chick Young will report it as a full-on riot.
  14. We could go full Partick Thistle and sing about both (not really our style to be honest).
  15. Agreed (that's why I said I understood why they have done it this way) but tickets do have seats printed on them and there's a good chance that some muppet will come in 5 minutes after kick off and insist on 'his' seat.
  16. I can understand why they're saying sit anywhere but some folk will still insist on sitting on their ticketed seat. It will be carnage and be prepared to sit in the front few rows if you're not in by 5 to 3pm.
  17. I've never been sure what the situation is but I've parked a few times without a ticket and there's always been loads of others including home fans. That doesn't mean they won't turn out in force one day and make a fortune by booking hundreds of cars!
  18. Is that down to the level of membership you have because I've never had anything either. Not why I'm in it though.
  19. I assume St. Mirren will be expecting a good turn-out of home fans for this and approaching a full house. Are home fans able to turn up on the day and buy a ticket from the office or is it likely to be sold out beforehand?
  20. Oh yeah, I can certainly see the disappointment happening that often comes when we have a large expectant support. I'm just looking forward to a rare day out with mates and a good atmosphere.
  21. Fair enough if that is the case. We brought that in for the home leg of the play-off to stop folk getting in the home stands that shouldn't be there. As far as I know we still apply the same rule to ticket games.
  22. Rangers play Ross County tomorrow night before Aberdeen at the weekend. So it's staying at Ibrox or off to Dingwall.
  23. I don't think any Motherwell supporter who had put the slightest bit of thought into it thought there was a chance of an extra allocation.
  24. I'm as cautious a Motherwell supporter as you'll get but even I have accepted we're safe from relegation this season! I'd even go as far as saying we've got top six pretty much secured and a win on Saturday would go a long way to securing top 4. A win for Livi on the other hand would put them in a very strong position for top six but I'd say you are already safe from relegation.
  25. I wouldn't have said we are the high scoring type either but I also wouldn't have said Livingston are. Turns out you are 3rd top scorers in the division on 35 with us one behind on 34. So, goalless draw then?
