  1. Haud the (McGill's) bus! About 6 minutes in, he's playing for Serbia (under 21's?) against Switzerland at Cappielow. Is this some sort of parallel universe?
  2. There's been quite a few comments excited on the Stuparevic signing. Is there anything to justify this or is it just because he's from a foreign league?
  3. Ooh, the locals will love that. I'm more surprised that this wasn't expected. Are they not building out a cantilever section from the front of the upper tier? I work in construction and the idea this would be completed in about 10 weeks is wild (possibly even tinpot).
  4. I'm catching up after a few days and all this 'investment' chat is getting in the way of the new signings. Anyway, the main thing I took from the club update was the assertion that the club should actually be based on annual profit and be much less than they've managed to agree with EB. On that basis, would clubs that make a loss be worthless? Clubs like Dundee United should be paying people to take them on.
  5. I'm concerned this whole episode will be divisive and the WS will be weakened by it either way. Hopefully not, but there's always going to be some people voting for the losing option who may decide they don't want to continue with financial contributions to something they disagree with.
  6. Kettlewell's first step when he arrived was to sideline the 23 wide players that Hammell had brought in. I've not seen anything to suggest he's going to change from wing-backs providing our width. He even tried to double up on wing-backs so they could play together and overlap/cover each other.
  7. To play devil's advocate here, the additional money from an increased TV deal is also paid to our direct competitors so doesn't actually give us an advantage over them in avoiding relegation/ qualifying for top six or whatever. It's likely that player budgets will just increase across the board.
  8. Are the existing board members all shareholders (I assume they are) and to what extent? Are they the largest shareholders after WS? Even a modest shareholding allied to EB's proposed 49% would give him/them free rein as they seem to be fully behind his proposals.
  9. I noticed the WS vote was 6-3 which I was surprised at. Is there an overlap between the club board and the WS board? Is it the same folk trying to push it through on both?
  10. A few folk have mentioned additional monies coming in from increased league sponsorship, tv deals, UEFA money etc. That's great but it doesn't make us more competitive as our rivals will also be benefitting. I'm still not convinced though and all the people saying they've got the fear are starting to give me the fear.
  11. I'll read it all in more detail later but 49% ownership for slightly under £2m over 6 years. Nah, you're alright and watch the door doesn't hit your arse on the way out.
  12. I assume we'll have agreed to pay Kelly a cut of whatever we're getting from UEFA for him to sign up for an extension. Suits both parties.
  13. Ryan Jack - absolutely, if fit. They've also released Jon McLaughlin. Would take him if we could afford him (probably not). I'd say they are downgrading by replacing him with Kelly.
  14. I'll freely admit to being whooshed and that I don't follow Harry Paton's international career particularly closely.
  15. Just to put this season into perspective, the article comments on how Randolph came in after Ruddy and beat his record of 15 clean sheets for the season.
  16. It hardly ever matters but there's obviously an art to playing the points game. Probably more a thing for those regularly going to away games.
  17. I'm also in the Supporters Club but don't go to friendlies. If I'd gone to the England and Poland friendlies I'd have been on 12 points rather than 10 and would have been guaranteed tickets. No idea at the time unfortunately.
  18. That says he can play anywhere across the back three - no wonder Stephen Robinson dropped his interest.
  19. Yeah, fairly shite patter but seeing as it was a (very) thinly veiled attempt to wind up Hearts, Hibs and particularly Rangers fans it was fine by me.
  20. They were pushing it but it was #TB4 for the teams that had been in the top division for ages. It sort of died when they got relegated because they couldn't push it and no-one else gave a monkey's.
  21. Is that actually nice? Sounds sickly sweet. Anyway, a pint of Fyne Ales' Jarl in The Raven in Glasgow for the football. I'm a big fan of Fyne Ales and this is going down a treat (pic taken earlier!).
