  1. Finished watching it last night. Having not played the game I had no idea about it but really enjoyed it. Special mention to Matt Berry and his fabulous voice.

Update: he's been to Bletchley Park; doesn't fancy another trip. Shot down a few other daytrip suggestions too.

He's a massive NCIS fan for some reason, so I thought I'd try one of those coffee-table books you see about those kinds of shows. Of course, this appears to be one that nothing's been released for except "fan books" that look printed on an old monochrome copier.

What about a box set of The World At War series if he's into his war series? Unless he can get it through his TV package.

    Definitely an accurate take.

Ox played a couple of league cup games from memory so I went back to see if anyone had passed comment at the time.

@Archie McSquackle - "Oxborough is a lot bigger but didn't come for corners in the East Fife game which Kelly would have easily"

So let's not hold out hope he's our number 1 and if he is everyone better relax into a season of similar outcomes to this....

Does beg the question - have we had two goalies who naturally just don't come for corners and crosses? Or, has it been coached into them for whatever reason not to do that?

It's a small sample size admittedly (one game 😄) but I was struck by how much he stayed on his line when it looked as though the ball was there to be taken. He may well have been nervous on a rare appearance.

There's definitely a strong Motherwell Da' aspect to expectations around goalkeeping - those brought up watching Sieb Dykstra have got a badly skewed view of what keepers actually do. Even back then, a keeper regularly coming to take crosses at the penalty spot (and 18 yard line) was out of the ordinary/weird and I'm really not sure that it is a big part of goalkeeping in modern fitba.

We didn't lose a goal from a corner under GA - and that didn't happen because Kelly was coming for everything. I don't think there is a clear, easy to see reason for us losing so many soft goals from corners/long throws/crosses but it's not because Kelly wasn't doing this:

What a day that was. Celtic parade Fergus McCann before the game and then launch ball after ball to big Sieb who was absolutely loving it.

I'm in a hotel, mostly occupied by French people. It makes me wonder why we bailed them out so often. They're more ignorant than the Russians.

I can tell you're going to love my annual posting of pool-side beers in the south of France in the What Are You Drinking thread. I could even throw in some random pictures of French people.

Tbf that was simply a couple of YouTube videos getting shared of his greatest bloopers against us it wasn't something any poster spent time editing together.

There was a video of Mark Birrighetti at Dundee United and his mistakes in their relegation season but admittedly, they were on a different level and it was comedy gold 🤣

Here's the existing overall record, according to Wiki, which might help. By my calculations, there should be 23 clubs there if you include Clyde, as they've amalgamated two clumpanies into one.

If we're not counting Airdrieoneans v2 as another club, the most likely answer is probably one of the clubs that are new to the SPFL, or whoever finds a sugar daddy. Nobody's getting a brief European fling for winning the League Cup/losing the Scottish Cup final to Celtgers anymore. We may well not see another European debutante in our lifetimes.

Edit: 24 if Jacksgranda's right about Third Lanark.

Why are Airdrie, Gretna and Hearts in magenta when all other teams are in blue? I know that Airdrie and Gretna have since been liquidated but Hearts haven't and Rangers have. Any suggestions?

Even on the BBC sport Scoddish section, its not the easiest to find the playoff scores, and certainly zero live reporting or any detail whatsoever. Beyond contempt

The website has gone seriously downhill. They've tried to improve their coverage of the Premiership but it's at the expense of everything else.
