So the WS need to substantially increase what they are already raising on an annual basis (for a reduced stake in the club) and after 2 years have the option to buy EB out if 'not considered to bring sufficient value '. Where are WS going to get over £600k from at this point when they've probably had to dip into their reserves just to keep up payments? They could potentially go from being in the black to struggling to make ends meet for a failed experiment they don't actually want.
Or am I missing something?

I got a giggle from this "Scouting Analysis". "Similar type of player: Robin van Persie"
I am sold.
I mean, joking aside, there's a lot to like in there. Especially when you see the development/improvement in both KVV and Bair under Kettlewell.
I'm hesitant to bracket Biereth in that group because he was clearly already really, really fucking good - the credit Ketts can take there is getting him in the door and giving him a platform rather than anything developmental (IMO).
Haud the (McGill's) bus! About 6 minutes in, he's playing for Serbia (under 21's?) against Switzerland at Cappielow. Is this some sort of parallel universe?

There's been quite a few comments excited on the Stuparevic signing. Is there anything to justify this or is it just because he's from a foreign league?

Ooh, the locals will love that.
I'm more surprised that this wasn't expected. Are they not building out a cantilever section from the front of the upper tier? I work in construction and the idea this would be completed in about 10 weeks is wild (possibly even tinpot).

I'm catching up after a few days and all this 'investment' chat is getting in the way of the new signings.
Anyway, the main thing I took from the club update was the assertion that the club should actually be based on annual profit and be much less than they've managed to agree with EB. On that basis, would clubs that make a loss be worthless? Clubs like Dundee United should be paying people to take them on.

And if it goes to a vote and there is a slim margin one way or another? Or it is widely rejected and they still lose their shit?
I'm having a meltdown right now!
Best to do what you believe is right. And the Well Society Board have already said rejecting this plan is right,
I'm concerned this whole episode will be divisive and the WS will be weakened by it either way. Hopefully not, but there's always going to be some people voting for the losing option who may decide they don't want to continue with financial contributions to something they disagree with.

Hmm. I think that depends on Bair staying or going, now. If we sign Stuparević I'd rather we looked to bring in a wide-attacking player or two.
Kettlewell's first step when he arrived was to sideline the 23 wide players that Hammell had brought in. I've not seen anything to suggest he's going to change from wing-backs providing our width. He even tried to double up on wing-backs so they could play together and overlap/cover each other.

I actually illustrated how next season we will be in positive territory. I know you want to believe what you say but it’s simply incorrect.
The UEFA increase was in the red tops back in February albeit OF centric stories as expected.
The Premier Sports 20 match package is worth £10m a season, announced last week.
Just out of interest at what stage of the negotiating process were you told about the SPFL in advanced discussions for a new TV deal? That alone raises our turnover not far off 8-10% and changed the dynamic of an offer. I’m sure the board would have been kept in the loop like every other club as to how the negotiations were going.
To play devil's advocate here, the additional money from an increased TV deal is also paid to our direct competitors so doesn't actually give us an advantage over them in avoiding relegation/ qualifying for top six or whatever. It's likely that player budgets will just increase across the board.

Oh dear. I'm sorry I asked

Anyway, are we due to announce our new strip soon?

Are the existing board members all shareholders (I assume they are) and to what extent? Are they the largest shareholders after WS? Even a modest shareholding allied to EB's proposed 49% would give him/them free rein as they seem to be fully behind his proposals.

I noticed the WS vote was 6-3 which I was surprised at. Is there an overlap between the club board and the WS board? Is it the same folk trying to push it through on both?

A few folk have mentioned additional monies coming in from increased league sponsorship, tv deals, UEFA money etc. That's great but it doesn't make us more competitive as our rivals will also be benefitting. I'm still not convinced though and all the people saying they've got the fear are starting to give me the fear.

I'll read it all in more detail later but 49% ownership for slightly under £2m over 6 years. Nah, you're alright and watch the door doesn't hit your arse on the way out.

I assume we'll have agreed to pay Kelly a cut of whatever we're getting from UEFA for him to sign up for an extension. Suits both parties.

That would do it

Ryan Jack - absolutely, if fit.
They've also released Jon McLaughlin. Would take him if we could afford him (probably not). I'd say they are downgrading by replacing him with Kelly.

I'll freely admit to being whooshed and that I don't follow Harry Paton's international career particularly closely.

Doesn't seem to have made the bench.

Just to put this season into perspective, the article comments on how Randolph came in after Ruddy and beat his record of 15 clean sheets for the season.

I had a friend who worked at Queens Park. A couple of times he got free tickets and likewise and ultimately I regret taking them as it cost me points wise. Let’s face it 36,000 members and only 10,000 got tickets.
Also a bit ticked off that the discount for Scotland tops (sold as a benefit) was unavailable for the latest tops. A bit off that imho…
It hardly ever matters but there's obviously an art to playing the points game. Probably more a thing for those regularly going to away games.

I'm also in the Supporters Club but don't go to friendlies. If I'd gone to the England and Poland friendlies I'd have been on 12 points rather than 10 and would have been guaranteed tickets. No idea at the time unfortunately.

We were in for him last summer so us having another go doesn't seem like the biggest surprise if he's available.
That says he can play anywhere across the back three - no wonder Stephen Robinson dropped his interest.

(I think) Killie fans started a #TB4 (the big 4) and it was Celtic Aberdeen, us and Killie as we were the only teams to have remained in the top league for the last 30 (or however many it was for Killie) years.
Killie got relegated and the #TB3 was thrown about as a joke for a month but then died off.
Shite but decent internet patter.Yeah, fairly shite patter but seeing as it was a (very) thinly veiled attempt to wind up Hearts, Hibs and particularly Rangers fans it was fine by me.

Flew out on holiday from Edinburgh Airport this morning and picked up this Deanston 10 with a Bordeaux cask finish. Had it before, beautiful whisky and an absolute bargain at £35. Wasn't even in the section for needing to fly abroad.
