I'm going to guess he pays a tiny, tiny fraction of his wages. At least the others pulled him up for his arsehole behaviour.

I know there shouldn't be a type but have you ever seen anyone who looks less likely to be a footballer than Harry Paton?

For all the talk of an experienced keeper, a lot of them fall into the thanks but no thanks category. It's amazing to think of the number of them who have a long career in game despite everyone thinking they're guff.

To be honest, we only knew at the time because someone around us pointed it out.

Why can't Motherwell finish 11th? What am I missing?
Did you miss us being declared safe at the weekend?

pretty shocking footage
Watching this, I was thinking "Here's another of these videos where someone sits back taking video rather than trying to help ". Then I realised it's America and they're just waiting for someone with a gun.

I can just about remember Graeme Forbes getting sent off for a great save on the goal line. No idea when or against which team.
It was fairly late on in a game against Accies at the old Douglas Park. As you say, a great save to his top left corner in the home end goal. Not entirely sure of the score but I'm going to suggest it preserved a 1-1 draw around 86-87.
'Psycho' Forces also hit the bar with a header in our Scottish Cup semi against Celtic when we were still in the first division. Drew 1-1 but lost the replay 3-0.

Tennents sixes runners up
Also runners-up in the B&Q cup, a whole list of being runners-up in the Forfarshire Cup and winners of bizarre trophies which I assume were glorified friendlies. The Dunclare Dispensers Trophy anyone?

I remember Andy Harrow scoring a great lob against Hibs. Other than that, he was pretty average like most of our squad in those in those days.

Sitting in the Cooper Stand, everyone around me thought that was never a penalty. Disgraceful decision.

Lovely! Hope it's not a bottle all to yourself
Just had a Gold Dust from Fyne Ales. Popped in when passing a few weeks ago and some of their stuff is a bit pricey but they were selling this off and I picked up a mixed case as well. Lovely set-up they've got there for an outdoor drink/meal but I'm always driving unfortunately.
Anyway, very nice. Not a session IPA, bit more to it than that.

It doesn't feel as though it makes any difference now but the VAR review panel has us in one of the games where the decision was considered to be wrong. Supposedly VAR should have recommended an onfield review of the late handball claim in the home game against Aberdeen and a penalty should have been awarded.
Strangely, I didn't think it should have been a penalty at the time and the general consensus seemed to be that neither handball (Bair's at Lennon's equaliser) should have been given but handballs seem to be getting given for these. I really don't know where players are supposed to put their arms.

Feature? Gold, silver and bronze, a clean sweep of the medals!
I think supporters of the other clubs might have something to say. I've seen some absolute howlers on Sportscene (although I'm not sure anything compares to Dundee United's efforts last season).

They should have a funniest goal conceded award, I'm sure we'd feature in that.

There was nothing wrong with the previous set up. Just change for change sake.
They've managed to update the format and make it considerably worse. You used to be able to click on Scores and see all the divisions. They've completely sidelined the lower leagues.

Sounds about right for VDG. Even worse than I remembered for Hendry.

Any reason why there's no OAM today when they have reporters at the various games? Just can't be bothered talking about football when there's no Celtic or Rangers games today?

Mitchell Van der Gaag?
I'm in two minds as to whether we signed him for £400k or £650k. So either most or second most expensive signing. Bonkers signing fees in those days, particularly from Alex McLeish. £100k for John Hendry?

It’s the kind of dour end of season crap we’ve been watching since August.
I had to check who'd posted this to see which team they support.

Aye, I do all the Alloa media. Just seems complete bizarre to be added to the mailing system.
I get marketing emails from St Mirren because I've been to away games there which I find odd so I see where you're coming from.

I've not gone back to watch it again, but was that not the game there was a torrential downpour and the players were splashing about in puddles? Not that there was much wrong with the surface but, like Hampden with a similar downpour against Georgia, the drainage system wasn't able to cope.

What did the Well Society pay for a majority stake in the club? Is that where this figure of £1.5m come from? Or was that the figure for the Australian/US consortium and no-one really knows what this guy is prepared to put in?

Been a while since I've been in there, good to see it's still serving up a good selection.
Anyway, a cask pint of Lomond's Boonnie and Blonde tonight at Jaw Brewery's place in Milngavie in the evening sunshine. Very nice but takes a bit of getting used to it not being chilled.
