Picking three separate groups of people up at some point tonight so I'm on non alcoholic beers for the time being. This is Overtone's first alcohol free and it's bloody great.

I'm back on the NA stuff for a wee while and my experiences so far have mostly been underwhelming. That looks interesting- where did you find it?

  2. On my first driving lesson my instructor took me up the back roads (Kenneth) and told me to increase my speed to 60mph. I was shitting myself but he said it was a clear straight road so I should be able to drive at the speed limit.

    Court ruled that word fine.

It didn’t bother Under Armour or EA.

I'd agree with the courts if they ruled the word to be non-sectarian. However, it's still a derogatory term for Rangers/their supporters - not a good look for an employee in an elevated position, surely you realise that? Still very funny though.

Apparently he was offered a contract on lower terms than he was on and if that was the case I don't think anyone could blame him for going elsewhere for more money.

Did Utd not buy him in the January transfer window? I doubt it came down to the new contract we'd have been offering in the summer and probably hadn't even started negotiations on.

From the SPFL website on player elligibility:

Except for a Player/player who has only Played, including being listed as a named
substitute, in the First Round (Group Stage) of Matches who shall not be included for
the purposes of this Regulation 8.3, no Club or club (“A”) shall Play, or list as a named
substitute, any Player or player who, in the same Season, has already played in a
Match by entering the field of play, whether in the starting eleven or by being used as
a substitute by another Club or club (“B”) in the Competition and, subject to the stated
exception, any such Player or player shall not be eligible to Play, or be listed as a named
substitute, for Club or club A.

    Thanks for the clarification.

On a separate note, after asking on here about a comment made by Colin Park, my phone is now suggesting him as a friend on Facebook. Who says technology isn't watching your every move?

Colin Park is asking a lot of questions about transformational investment and if the WS are looking at that. Also what any potential investment would be valued at to be defined as "transformational".

Was he asking about 'transformational investment' in a having a dig at the WS way as that's the way it seems? I appreciate the meaning doesn't always come across as intended in a post so looking for confirmation?

If so, it would seem a very strange take for someone seeking election to the board.

  7. I only watched the first minute and a half but think I got the gist of it. I noticed the sign saying Sandy Row. I once stayed in a hotel across the road from the entrance to the estate where there was a huge mural saying 'Welcome To Loyalist Sandy Row' - I assume it hasn't changed much.

  8. I used to think I would recognise most Motherwell supporters but it's obvious that years in the Phil O'Donnell Stand with only a few away games means I've been living in a bubble. Apart from Derek Watson, the only face I recognised was Colin Park!

Plenty of talented, willing people which is very encouraging. There could be comments on diversity but you can only vote for those that put themselves forward.

  9. BBC News interviewed someone this morning who was a Director of Prosecutions when they had rioting in 2011. He said that since then we have more smart phones and less smart people. They're basically videoing themselves committing crime and posting it online to be used as evidence against them.

Even when Mark O'Hara left us, it was easy to see there was a player there. He just hadn't mastered a role - he was a jack of all trades type. Natural that when he was in his mid to late 20's to early 30's he'd settle down and be a bit more composed. Zero surprise to see him come good.

If I remember correctly, Mark O'Hara had various injury issues when with us and had missed large chunks of the season. He did show that he could change games single-handedly, the cup game against St. Mirren springs to mind, but we weren't prepared to push the boat out on a new contract for a player who hadn't been consistently available. I appreciate the irony of this given some of our recent dealings 😄

St. Mirren offered him a better deal so off he went.
