  1. Indeed, if its entitled to expect more than zero points from 2 home games then we would be as well giving in. Nobody's saying we want Clarke taken out the back and shot. Just a new manager with better ideas.
  2. Exactly, this hes the best we can get mentality i just don't understand. Hes one of the best Scottish managers, but were not producing great managers like we used to. Its not like if we get a new manager we would turn to absolute crap overnight. We still have good players who you can see are able to be organised and press and defend together. Clarkes not the guy to build a good attacking team tho. This much is clear by now.
  3. So I've lost control of myself, if I ever had control to begin with? And thats not an attempt to discredit someone's opinion by questioning their mental heath? It is, you know it is. Stop being a complete nob. Its not relevant in a football discussion. I think your opinion on Clarke is swayed by him managing your club team. And so you have always liked him. So I think your perhaps biased. Your welcome to your opinions on him. I disagree, results and performances have not been good. Player selection has been poor. Just look at gilmour, he wouldn't even have been in the squad if it weren't for injuries. He plays one game and the discussion becomes, how can we play without gilmour. Everyone could see it apart from Clarke, who preferred the likes of mcgregor and fleck.
  4. Can you explain what you mean then, than people who disagree with you "have lost the run of themselves, if they ever had it in the first place"? If its not a slight on mental heath then what is it? Your saying people have lost control of their mind, if they ever had control of their mind. Its piss poor patter. Strachan never had 2 attempts for the same tournament, One of them set up by a previous manager.
  5. So anyone who disagrees with your opinion has "lost the run of themselves, if they ever had it in the first place" Calling into question peoples mental health because they disagree about football is pretty dire. We should be able to disagree without shit like that. Being thrown. Weve played some good games under Clarke, but fail to win many games. Were harder to beat, but we don't dominate unless we're playing absolute minnows. We had 2 home games in a major championship group. It will never get no easier than that. Ever. He sat and watched the game disappear and did nothing until the game was dead and buried. Mcleish would have been slaughtered if it was still his team. I dont think progress has been made at all since the end of Strachan reign. Strachan never got two attempts at qualifying for a tournament like Clarke did.
  6. We have already made a poor start, we can't win games. Dont look like beating anyone but the minnows. Whats the point in writing off yet another campaign. And probably half of the next euro qualifying by the time we get round to it.
  7. Its alot more than 2 or 3 results. Honestly do you think the games against the Czechs and Croatia went well? Or do you think it would have been impossible for another manager to have had us playing better in those games? I dont think we were exciting last night, I thought we were timid and lacking ideas. Defensively we were organised and at times pressed well. But we ran out of steam and didn't change anything until it was to late.
  8. Overall performances and results have been poor. We managed to get to this tournament by an excellent draw with serbia. A game we should have won in the 90mins. That along with the England game is our only good performances under Clarke. Hes produced some good performances when our backs to the wall. But thats it. He's unable to win games at home, we always look like the away team. He got us to a tournament for the first time in 23 years, but we were not good. 2 home games and 0 points, its unforgivable. Hes already made a terrible start to the next qualifying. Its time we parted ways, hes never going to be a good manager for us. Last night as Souness says was dark ages stuff. Also the wrong team and tactics. But the worst thing of all was the reluctance to change things. We were on top in spells for the first half. Croatia started to control the game and we left the players out there to rot. Rather than freshen things up and get back at them. The changes were to litte to late and now were out. Arguably the worst team in the tournament. Yes turkey and North Macedonia lost all 3 games, but neither played a home game. And we played 2. Nothing against the guy, I want every scotland manager to succeed. But its been poor overall. It really has. Strachan when we went deserved to go, but he had the team playing better than this. Were going nowhere.
  9. If it is just gilmour then its a big blow, but its still a winnable game. If we start talking Robertson, mcginn and anyone else were absolutely screwed.
  10. Being able to beat the Czechs at home is not unrealistic.
  11. Something bad will happen between now and kick-off, anyway. Accies 1874 caused this imho
  12. You need to fuel your jets, 23 years and you want to give the boys a Mexican wave for getting pumped at home by the Czechs.
  13. I know, I've confirmed it about 3 times now. As I said previously theres more to football than stats, so the stats don't prove anything. We had one real chance for dykes. That was it. It was terrible. You must be easily pleased, we need to shake this loser gallant failure attitude. Its held us back for so long.
  14. I'd say he's their best forward, and better than anything we have yeah. But he never made that point (lack of knowledge), so I wasn't making it for him!!
  15. I'd prefer to watch the game rather than judge things by stats. Some great players, give me a break. Soucek is their best player, would he be in ahead of mctominay? Or gilmour? Or even mcginn? I think your forgetting that we were at home also. If your happy with that performance and result thats fine, but it is a loser mentality. We should be aiming higher, which was proven by the massive step up in performance against England.
  16. Everyone saying the same team again, but thats surely unlikely. The squad will be assessed and some players will be rested.
  17. I did yeah, not worse in any tournament ever. We created a few chances, we didn't create alot of chances. The Czechs also missed quite a few chances. We were at home against a poor team, in a massive game. Didn't create much, didn't have the best chances. What was ok about it. Its a loser mentality to think that was ok, it really is. Im confident now we can beat Croatia, but if we don't. We will go back and question that game again. And rightly so.
  18. Each to their own, I found it embarrassing. I'd say Italy are a slightly better team than the Czechs.
  19. Call me hyperbolic and then make up your own quote. "Worst performance in a tournament ever" who said that? Im genuinely not trying to be hyperbolic. I dont think its stretch in anyway to say it was probably the worst performance in the tournament. He was absolutely awful. The team was awful also. I'd say the problem is more quotes like "the team played ok". It wasn't OK it was embarrassing, it was a shocking and cowardly performance. And O'donnell was the worst of the bunch.
  20. Add to that Christie, Dykes, Hendry, Marshall and a few more. There was plenty of stick given. I didn't see anybody laying the whole thing on O'donnell. He was the worst tho, it was probably the worst performance in the whole tournament. Makes his England performance even more remarkable, and shows the guys got alot of character.
  21. Im delighted for him as well, but let's be honest the criticism wasn't unfair. He was awful against the Czechs. He was magnificent against England and proved alot of people wrong including myself. That he couldn't cut it at the tournament. I would never consider dropping him now. But the criticism was accurate for the first game. And was due, same as it would have been for any player in the squad who played that badly.
  22. Ill be sitting in my dressing gown watching the game, its tartan tho. For £300 Swedish TV are welcome to come and filmed me talking pish for an hour.
  23. Dunno bud, I've googled him. Best I get is an Australian actor
