  1. My Dad died first week of Feb with symptoms very similar to covid. They made my Mum and I wear gowns, face masks and rubber gloves to go in and see him. I thought this was very odd as they’d already told us he wasn’t going to live any longer than a day
  2. It may be the first reported death in the UK was the 5th March but I believe it was way before that. The main man, Dr Hilary, said yesterday that coronavirus was first in the UK at the end of Jan, I refuse to believe it was 5 weeks from then until the first death
  3. Surely clubs are expecting to play games with crowds if they’re announcing season tickets being on sale? Some rockets don’t believe games will be played in front of fans until 2021 at the earliest
  4. I happened to be up a hill “in” town when it was 8pm, it’s a decent sized hill and I could still hear horns and pots and pans being hit. Wonder if it can be heard in space...
  5. It’s all well and good extending the lockdown, but what’s the point when flights are still arriving in the UK with passengers who aren’t being tested or having to self isolate once they’re here. Seems stupid
  6. Some Welsh talking head was on the news saying mass gatherings should/could be banned for a year. He failed to mention how many people constitute a “mass”.
  7. I was speaking to a nurse who works at one of the Ayrshire hospitals a few weeks back, she said this wasn’t a virus but rather “germ warfare” (her words)
  8. I’ve been having few bad days, to go with a few bad months. Been really teary, missing my Dad and knowing my love of football won’t ever be the same again without him to chat to about it. It’s my birthday soon and my first without him, and I keep thinking back to previous birthdays my ex and I spent together. I’m missing her too, despite her being a bitch. I’m also anxious about my Mum passing away, as when she goes I’ll have nobody to live for. Depression and anxiety together is terrible
  9. I haven’t got around to watching the “behind the scenes” videos yet, are they decent or David Brent-esque?
  10. I wanted Thistle to get relegated because of McCall leaving to go there and thinking he’d be the messiah that saved them. I truly believe though that had the league played out in the way it should have, that you guys would have escaped relegation and maybe even the play off place altogether. Very harsh on you and you’ve a right to be aggrieved with having played a game less than QOS and only being two points behind them.
  11. My birthday is in early May, anyone think I’ll be able to travel to a nearby town for a haircut by then?
  12. The Ayrshire News sites are reporting that a phone mast was burned down by neds thinking it was causing the spread of coronavirus. The mast wasn’t a 5G one
  13. Small Business owners, employees fearful for their jobs, “financial experts”. Those are the 3 types they spoke to on said report
  14. I know they can’t be compared and I wasn’t. Just saying that they’ve never found a cure for cancer, maybe they won’t find a cure for covid
  15. ITV news at 10 lead with the financial implications of “lockdown”, that was the top story. Seems people are already getting angsty about the financial implications of it all.
  16. What if it’s like cancer and they never find a cure for it? Will football and sports events be played behind closed doors forever?
  17. When will the results of this debacle be announced? It’s going on longer than an Eastenders storyline
  18. I’m perplexed why we were always being shown morgues or makeshift morgues with loads of coffins whilst the peak was happening in Italy, yet we’ve been shown nothing of the sort here. The makeshift hospital at the SEC isn’t expected to be used. I find it staggering that we’ve had so many deaths in the UK yet more people were shocked and worried when we were shown the images from Italy
  19. The government are saying you can go out once a day for except is enough though. I don’t see how people like me who are going a walk once a day are contributing to people being in intensive care? I was out a walk today, I went through the woods in my town, down the field and then onto the beach. I passed a couple and we stayed about 10 feet away, and a dog walker who was the other side of the road. Not sure how Im going to catch or transmit Coronavirus through that
  20. I’ve never been a gym goer so I can’t compare. I’ve always been into long walks or hikes. I’ll continue to go my walk each day as it’s allowed. The govt and health advisors have said they realise mental health will be affected by the current situation and that’s why they encourage exercise once a day. It seems a lot of people on this thread are enjoying being martyrs and staying indoors 24/7
