  1. They said a vaccine may be 18 months away. Large gatherings can’t be put off for that long surely I’d predict 80% minimum of Scottish clubs would fold
  2. Yip! I don’t think it will be back until Aug at the very earliest
  3. It’s a vicious circle. Of course we all want to help our club, but at the same time people like me are losing out on work and therefore are having to make cutbacks. I personally feel it’s been an OTT reaction that’s going to have ramifications for 99.9% of the population
  4. It was in one of the papers today. I saw a link on Twitter. Both are hotbeds for scaremongering I know. I’d be very surprised if the games in June were in front of crowds
  5. whens the junior games starting back up again lads?
  6. How long will our money last though? There’s talk of social distancing being enforced in things like sports/music events for 18 months
  7. I think the games will be played behind closed doors in June/July. There’s talk of this social distancing lasting for 18 months.
  8. Same, I hate it especially National Hunt. Sick fuckers around who enjoy seeing horses fall to their death. Seems we’re in the vast minority buddy
  9. Anyone explain why English non league games went ahead today whilst we’ve been on a shut down already
  10. Also wonder if they will have other PPVs “behind closed doors”. Subscribers to the Network will be peeved if none are happening for the foreseeable
  11. The most Scottish thing ever to have a Scot main eventing and probably going to win the title, and it’s going to be cancelled
  12. Horse racing. The bookies won’t allow that to be off (especially with the Grand National coming up)
  13. What’s all this bat pish I read about Coronavirus?
  14. It’s been scaremongering at its best. I’m not denying it’s a serious illness, but it’s not deadly in ordinarily healthy people. At the moment there is less than 10 people in the WHOLE of Ayrshire with it. Scrapping games already is a bit OTT. You’re more likely to encounter far more people at close proximity in the likes of Silverburn on a Saturday than you are at an open air football game in the lower leagues. Cancelling junior games is just mind boggling tbh. I just wonder what back up plan the government have to help self employed or zero hour contract folk who are losing work through no fault of their own
  15. A worrying time for small clubs who potentially have 2 months of no match day revenue coming in. Will teams like Stranraer who very rarely get a 500 crowd continue to play in front of fans?
  16. Obviously for Prem teams that’s out of the question, I was only thinking of Ayr when I typed it. I wonder if teams like Stranraer who only get about 350 attendance will use the option to play in front of fans
  17. How many season ticket holders does the club have? Could games not go ahead and only allow ST holders in, up to the 500 threshold?
  18. Is the reason for cancelling large events not to free up the emergency services rather than stop the spread of the virus? we’re usually police free anyway, also we don’t have NHS ambulances at games, it’s St Andrews.
  19. Seems like forever ago that a high scoring game at Somerset happened. To continue that I’ll go for 1-0
  20. Was Doolan injured when he wasn’t even on the bench? Or have Morton already realised he’s beyond shite?
  21. A few unpopular opinions I’ve came up with during the last few weeks -Moffat shouldn’t be starting games. Absolute dreadful recently especially when one on one with the keeper -Gillespie looks piss poor. He should be playing in the juniors, not the Championship -Forrest needs dropped to the bench -Doohan, will never make the grade with the Celtic 1st team. Bottom 6 Prem or Championship team is his level -Kelly, a shadow of the player he was during his first 2 months with us
  22. Was the wind today any worse than it was for the game at Somerset in December?
