  1. Me too. Nicely framed by the guy at the front of the indoor market.
  2. You do realise that one in twenty scans get it wrong? If your offspring appears with a pair of Denis Laws he's not going to thank you for that bib in later life! Seriously though, congratulations to you and your other half when the big day comes. By all means let them choose their politics and religion, but stands them in better stead to have their team chosen for them.
  3. The 7-1 game at Brockville was at the start of November 1990 (Connor's last game in charge). However, we did play at Brockville on the 27th of November 1999 and lost 2-1 in what was ironically John McVeigh's last game in charge.
  4. I've no sympathy for clubs and their fans who end up the creek as a result of living way beyond their means and lording over their rivals, but when a club ends up in difficulty due to bad owners, I fully sympathise and support their fans' efforts to get rid of the bad eggs. I was thinking of coming through to the game in December, but I'll see what develops re boycotts etc. Obviously want the Rovers to hump Airdrie, but hope you're successful in getting the local consortium into power.
  5. The length of queue outside the Adam Smith at 8 o'clock this morning might suggest otherwise.
  6. Do the baby **** not play at Cappielow? The one small consolation of relegation was being spared two trips through there.
  7. Still plenty of worthy potential inductees. Off the top of my head - Jimmy McEwan, Harry Colville, Chris Candlish and David Morris.
  8. I hope so too, because I would have Vaughan over Simon Murray any day of the week.
  9. Agree re points A and B. He did leave after being offered a new contract from Rovers, but it's not like the Mckinnon scenario where he was under contract. Rovers freed Ellis twice as a player when it suited them to do so, therefore I've no problem with him leaving in the circumstances he did. It would be nice to think he'll make a positive contribution to the Rovers at some point in the future, but as said above, you're spot on with A and B.
  10. You'd think they'd be pleased it's been moved because we usually have a goalkeeper on a Saturday.
  11. The Bill Clark who is a solicitor with W&AS Bruce is indeed a Rovers season ticket holder. I think he maybe worked for Beveridge, Herd and Sandilands in the past. If it is the same guy, my dad had dealings with him and speaks very highly of him.
  12. Apparently Sky's figures for the recent Rangers Celtic game were pretty poor. They won't be happy that they're having to compete with Airdrie playing the Rovers on a Sunday afternoon.
  13. I'm not sure if they're allowed to broadcast the game if it's being televised.
  14. Not sure whether this is good news or bad news - good news if we get Robertson back into midfield, but it maybe suggests that the injuries might be more serious than first thought.
  15. According to the Courier today, Gordon wants to go abroad. Apparently there wasn't an opportunity to do so in the summer, so he signed for East Fife to keep himself fit and to provide cover until Page was fit.
  16. Hopefully the next step is to get the breweries up and running again! [emoji16]
  17. Joins a long list including George Peat, Campbell Ogilvie and Derek Brown. I think he's still involved with the SPFL in some way - he lost his position on the management committee but he was appointed onto some steering group or focus group of some sort. However, that was before he left the Rovers and in order to keep his place in that group, he would probably have to assign himself to another club.
  18. And in a back three! That boy from Queens Park must be good.
  19. I'm delighted for both Barry Smith and Lewis Vaughan, but I don't harbour any grudge against Locke - he was no better or worse than I ever imagined he would be. The fault lies squarely with those who appointed him.
  20. I think gate prices for cup ties have to be mutually agreed, otherwise it goes by either the home team's standard league prices, although it might have changed. I remember there was a row a few seasons ago when Hearts played St Johnstone in a televised Scottish Cup tie on a Monday night and Hearts wanted to cut the prices, but St Johnstone refused.
  21. Nice theory, but I think we'd be raging if Sevco or Sellik said they'd only give us a cut of the season ticket holders present if we brought more than 4000 fans to Snake Mountain or the Brendanbeu.
