    Family Cap Record

Also on the world stage, Abedi Pele got 73 caps for Ghana and 3 of his sons Andre (113), Jordan (89) and Rahim (7) followed him. Abedi’s brother, Kwame also managed to get in on the act with 25 caps. I thought Diego Forlan might have been in with a shout as he’s from three generations of footballers but it was only himself (112 caps) and his dad, Pablo (17) who turned out for Uruguay. His grandad, Juan, had to make do with club football in Argentina.
  3. ^ This will be me on Thurs and Fri afternoon. I’m throwing my hard-earned cash on Rory, Sandy Shuffle and Minwoo Lee. Weather is looking a wee bit wet so it’s all set up for Rory. Half expecting him to shoot a 78 on Thurs now.
  4. Neville turning his Manc-shrill all the way up to 11 trying to defend Kane
  5. I know a few folk on here have already praised him but it really must be said that Callum McGregor is an exceptional player to have at the base of your midfield. His game-management and ball retention ability is wonderful to watch. With his run right at the end i’d normally be screaming for a player to just hoof it out the park but you just trust him to make the right decision. Quite surprised that nobody has made a serious move for him as he’d improve the midfield at the vast majority of clubs down south.
  6. Yeah I had tried to put him and Lawrie Sanchez (Fulham) but it wasn’t having it. I noticed that someone commented below the quiz and the guy responded by saying it was permanent managers only, which Sturrock definitely was, so I think he’s made an error there.
  7. I’ve always used Secure Airparks which is just beside the Ingliston Centre. Just drive in, park-up and jump on one of the wee buses that comes round every 10mins. You’re at the terminal drop-off in about 2mins. And you also keep hold of your keys.
  8. Lee Trundle is now on the Fantasy Football reboot on Sky. He has the Jeff Astle role when he comes on and sings at the end. It’s as bad as it sounds.
  9. Last few times i’ve gone on holiday, the passport queues at all Johnny Foreigner airports have been really smooth and I can’t recall waiting longer than 5 minutes to get through. Only issues i’ve had have been on arrival back in Edinburgh. Just the other week I was about 45 minutes before getting through to baggage.
  10. Roy Keane is about to set a new World Record for use of the word ‘shocking’ in one afternoon and I am completely on board for it.
  11. Just finished watching an 8-part Swedish series called ‘Caliphate’. Half is set in Stockholm and the other half in Syria. It’s about the attempted radicalisation of young Muslims in Stockholm with the authorities trying to prevent a planned terrorist attack in Sweden. It’s tense as hell and the last 30 mins of the entire series are especially terrifying. Would definitely recommend if you’re into your Scandi-style dramas.
  12. Trent once again displaying the defensive awareness and movement of a pub league player. Never change, Trent.
  13. All coached by Billy Reid as well.
  14. “I once made a 350 mile round trip on a Monday night to watch my Scottish Premiership club get pumped by a non-league mob live on national TV” “Ok, so who is your team and who humiliated you?” “Well I support Aberdeen and we got beat by a club called Darvel”. “Darvel? Who the f**k are Darvel? There isn’t a team called Darvel. I’m going to say it’s a lie”. “It is in fact true”
  15. The ‘league of late goals’ strikes again!
  16. Yeah, really like that as well. They’ve also announced that they’re playing the Hydro in September.
  17. It’s true. He’s 6’1” of prime, Barclay’s beef according to both wikipedia and the premier league website. It’s going to take me a wee while to get my head around this revelation.
