  1. I'd forgotten just how good Scott Davie's full time reaction was up in Aberdeen.

    Carry on...

    Didn't mean to red-dot that.

    Scott Davie is a legend.

We got introduced to him by a mutual friend when he was at the Falkirk away game in the title run in, and he was going mental about Tade missing a sitter. Was strange hearing the professional voice of Scott Davie saying " if you cant fucking score from 3 fucking yards, how can you expect to fucking win?"

Apparently when Aberdeen scored that last minute goal he booted the f**k out of the desk, then carried on as normal

  2. Im hoping that we arent assuming there will be reconstruction next year and are spending more as a result..

I think that its simply a case of us putting offers on the table here and now. Some of these players might get better elsewhere, but that isnt guaranteed.

We are a week or two away from having our squad already, good position to be in.

Would be delighted if it is indeed Barrowman.

Would be seething also if Davo came back. That is the past, we dont need someone to try 30 yard passes and get nowhere.

  3. 270 quid? Jesus Christ.

2nd division might be great fun. The season we won the league was great, going to nice wee grounds and taking a good support, plus winning more often than not. Had some great days out that season.

Problem was that the 3 season before it was turgid keech. That league is fine if you are doing well in it, but it's boring as sun when you are struggling.

Interesting to see how the pars get on.

  4. I'm surprised Rovers aren't part-time seeing as they struggle to get near 2000 crowds.

We are partly part time - and there will likely be a bigger emphasis on part time next season.

We cant afford to be totally full time, well, not if we want to...erm...pay our bills.

What I cant believe is that there is talk of Dunfermline being full time!

  5. No point greeting about gate money.

We were all going on about sporting integrity last year re Rangers, cant go bleating about money now. The same applies.

We dealt with no Pars two years ago, we can again.

Plus, lets be honest - the derby crowds were fucking awful this year. Surely a title chasing Falkirk/Dundee or even Hearts (who knows) would bring as much as the Pars have this year?

  6. That last game of the season against Berwick - where we won 1-0, with an 85th minute goal from Andy Smith and won the league - was the only game I attended that season. At the end of the game, my pals and I half-heartedly jumped the wall onto the pitch, then stood there briefly before going back into the stand, in the shitest pitch invasion ever. I just couldn't get into it all as I had missed the whole season. I think I was living down South at the time. Winning the league is only a good experience if you've been there all season. I suppose a player who'd been a bench warmer might feel like he'd been part of it.

I recall sitting in the office working Saturdays with the Rovers updates on the PC, and for the two or three weeks prior to the Berwick game, the Rovers were doing their best to f**k it up by losing all the games.

I went to almost every game that season and it felt utterly fantastic - the season before was my first experience watching Rovers week in week out. My mum was in the Bevvy Park with my sister when Smith scored and said she hadnt heard anything like it. Scenes.

But yes, we did try our best to fck it up. Half of Kirkcaldy going to Brechin to see Scotty Thomson have a blinding game in goals being the lowlight.
