  1. That was well worth a tenner. I think you can tell both teams approached it in the mind set of "If we win..." rather than going hell for leather. Rovers were light years ahead in the first half, but Caley were much brighter in the second. Overall I think the Rovers probably shaded it, and so maybe a daft bonus point after a win is the right result. On another night though, that could've been a very different game, either way. Rovers had big chances in the first half and missed the penalty. ICT had several big penalty shouts and were denied by an incredible Thomson stop right at the end. All in all, a fun watch, it looks like we've gotten away without any serious injuries, and the boys can keep the confidence going after a strong performance and result against a decent side. If Keatings could just f**k off somewhere else though that'd be grand. 12 goals and six assists in 15 games against the Rovers. Unbelievable.
  2. f**k me Robbie Thomson, how have you managed that!? McGurn-esque.
  3. If we had a like-for-like replacement for any one of the front four we might've offered more in this last fifteen or twenty minutes.
  4. Manny's great, but he doesn't seem to love these quick balls inside the six yard box. I feel like that's five or six we've seen and every time it somehow squirts away from him off a defender's toe!
  5. Almost certainly shouldn't have been one now though. Is it Tumilty on the man at the near post? Didn't look like much. Obviously Keatings scores though. Obviously.
  6. I'm not seeing the handball there, but the arms went up from Kennedy, the other man nearby and all three subs behind the line, the instant the ball came off Matthews. Probably got away with that.
  7. Agreed. The fluidity in our attack has had Caley Thistle's defence at sixes and sevens. We've been unlucky with a couple of chances and maybe just made one or two wrong decisions at critical moments. I think if the penalty had gone in it would've been a fairer reflection of the game. Thomson hasn't had to make a save other than the goal, whereas Ridgers has been fairly busy. It's a real shame that we're going to lose this once Keatings gets his hat-trick.
  8. Definitely a penalty, that one. Musonda is a revelation at left back. Dreadful execution from Armstrong. I think the commentary had just hit the nail on the head though. This is being played more like a friendly than a league game. Caley Thistle can't possibly be this open normally.
  9. Gotta disagree with Davie there, don't think that's a red card. If Ethan Ross doesn't chop back than I'd say so, but Duffy is close enough to stop him. Doesnt look great for the boy who went down with nobody near him. Seen that happen too many times and turn out dreadfully.
  10. Aye, fantastic cross. Was never going to end up anywhere other than Sutherland's forehead. Can't help but think Thomson should do better though. There's not a huge amount of power or direction on the header.
  11. Duku beating McKay over eight yards there, with a two yard handicap. I can't quite work out the make-up of our midfield. Every time I look it's a different player in Tait's number 10 role.
  12. Could be worse. We've named twice as many subs as Dumbarton.
  13. That doesn't really have anything to do with her being a woman though, does it? The snide comments always seem to.
  14. What I like to call an "Alex Williams". An opposition goal you just can't help but applaud.
  15. On Gary Locke and Raith Rovers, it's like hating the dog for crashing your car. He tried his best and it all went horribly wrong, but ultimately you never should have given him the keys.
  16. I think you're probably right, but it feels a bit like making a documentary on Nixon's White House and focusing on how the press secretary gets to his work in the morning whilst making vague allusions to Watergate. The "inside story" of Hearts last twelve months, and why it's interesting, has absolutely nothing to do with what the groundsman did while he was on furlough.
  17. "Ann, I'm your finance director. I couldn't really give a f**k who's applied for the job. Who are you picking and how much money do they want?"
  18. They need to either tell a rounded story about the women's team, or leave it out completely. See also: the groundstaff, the club shop, the hospitality, the treatment room, the woman taking her laddie to a game. Pretty much all of these things are a feature at every club in the country. Show me something new, show me something different, or show me something that's fucking funny. Don't show me How It's Made: A Professional Football Club.
  19. Partick Thistle's goalkeeper needs to stick closer to her line. Did we learn anything else?
