  1. Thanks for that. I don't know if you saw, but we've loaned David Bates to Rangers, and although he's been on the bench for their first team a few times, the intention was clearly there for him to play for their Under 20s (and I assume he has been) but it got me thinking on a purely hypothetical level about whether or not we could've asked him to play in our Under 20s game tonight. I don't think it's actually been confirmed anywhere if it's a proper loan (I can't remember the terminology) or a development loan, but the assumption is that it's the latter.
  2. Question for you, SD. If a player is on a development loan, can he play for the "child" club's development squad as well as the parent's, or is he limited to the first team?
  3. The squad is already fucking massive, I can't see us bringing anyone else in. Probably a couple of loan moves for the likes of Osei and Coustrain, or maybe the apprentices.
  4. Joel Coustrain? He's been there or thereabouts in the match day squads, and played in an Under 20s game in the last week or so. Chris Johnston, on the other hand, I'd completely forgotten about! We have such a big squad...
  5. There was definitely at least one chorus aimed at Ellis, but it wasn't particularly vociferous. I agree with everyone else on this one.
  6. See the "Craigy/Bobby Barr" song, in the style of "Kolo/Yaya Toure" - could it not be changed to "Mango"? I'm enjoying it, but that's going to annoy me for the rest of the season otherwise.
  7. Presumably this section of the "Rovers Digest" refers to our new goalkeeper. f**k knows what the plan is if the clearance isn't through in time.
  8. I think the club should seriously considering pairing up with COPA and re-launching the Jackie O's Coca-Cola Cup shirt. It pains me to say it, but this Dunfermline shirt is an absolute belter, and some of the other ones on that website are phenomenal. I've no idea what the costs or the revenue would be, but I'd love one.
  9. Story confirmed, with quotes from Pep Guardiolocke. http://www.deadlinenews.co.uk/2016/08/25/ex-kilmarnock-keeper-set-instant-raith-rovers-debut-dundee-united-following-injury-crisis/?platform=hootsuite
  10. It's particularly clear in that one post from that guy who named Declan Gallagher.
  11. Lennox is our over 21 loan for the season, mind. If we bring in a keeper on loan, it'll have to be a young guy. Can't imagine there are too many experienced keepers who are free agents at this time of year, either. Maybe we can borrow Kelty's keeper, like we did a few years ago for the Challenge Cup against Partick Thistle.
  12. The Chairman mentioned some 'unexpected expenditure' at the end of the season, contributing to the loss. Printer ink for P45s isn't cheap.
  13. I've been thinking the same thing. I missed the first ten minutes and I don't know if he did something early on that's colouring people's opinions, but he seemed absolutely fine to me. Well down the list of poor performers.
  14. I didn't reply because I don't want to buy one of our year old, boring-when-they-were-new home shirts.
  15. No lack of effort, but no discernible game plan either. With Alloa only needing a draw, it was pretty likely we'd spend a good deal of the game having to try and break them down, but we never looked capable of doing it. Worrying.
  16. We don't seem to have a strategy for attack. It looks like Locke has just put some good players out onto the park and assumed that they'll create chances.
