  1. I don't think so. He enjoys playing for T&T too much. Unless he was just striving for that 100 cap milestone, but I can't see it. He still plays football with a smile on his face, I don't think he'd retire before returning to Stark's.
  2. On the contrary, I think the longer it goes on the better it is for us. Frankly, no other club is going to just wait about for him the way that we are. He's a risk for any club to take on, and a greater perceived risk by those who didn't see every game he played for us last season, so nobody's going to give him ages to think about it. I think he's been a free agent open to offers for long enough now for any club to register an interest, make an offer, and then give up on him because he's taking too long. Basically, I think he's exhausted any other options that were present (if there were any, I haven't seen one iota of evidence that suggests he's wanted by any other team). I know it means that Raith Rovers are effectively his bitch, but I don't particularly care.
  3. Feck me! It's nowhere near that bad here. At it's worst it was about 2 or 3 inches, then it drained really quickly.
  4. In fact, I'll be shocked if it isn't almost exactly the same as this season's Leyton Orient shirt.
  5. I would imagine it'll be almost exactly the same as the last red kit we had.
  6. When I was in buying my season ticket at the end of last season, John Drysdale was saying that it's "a deep red, but not deep enough to accuse John McGlynn of having a Hearts influence on it." So make no mistake, it's maroon.
  7. I can see what they were going for, minimalistic and whatnot, but we've seen with last year's kit what they can produce with a bit of thought, and so this years just looks like there hasn't been any effort put in. I'm hoping the away kit is better, because I'd really like to buy a shirt this year. I also realise that it's the flavour of the month to slag off the website, and the club, but they're really missed a trick here. ACA are already selling the shirts in store before we've seen so much as a picture of it on the official website. There should've been a notice up yesterday saying that the shirts were on sale in the Club Shop. As a result, ACA are going to benefit from everyone who wants to buy the shirt on its release, and the club lose out on whatever cut ACA are taking.
  8. That's proper pictures of the new home shirt up on the ACA website now. Me no likey. It doesn't even have the proper collar that the first preview had, although I didn't really think it would. I realise I'm on a bit of a rampage here based on three photos, but the material looks very cheap too.
  9. I think it's fairly safe to say that before the season kicks off, we'll have at least one loan signing from either Dundee United or Hearts. John McGlynn says just about as much in his interview with The Away End. I'm quite positive about this, because I'd now say we're the best option for Hearts to loan out players. I would imagine they're not going to be loaning out to others in the SPL (although I know they did with Calum Elliot). So they're looking to the First Division, and they know exactly what John McGlynn's training and methods are like, and they obviously appreciate them. I would imagine that although Hearts are now more likely to loan players to us, rather than anyone else in the division. Similar situation for Dundee United, although maybe less so as John McGlynn and Craig Levein just seem to have a loose working relationship, rather than the fixed relationship that exists with Hearts. I think what I'm trying to get at is that we're in the position to be receiving the very best that Hearts have to offer in terms of loanees, instead of just the players who aren't deemed good enough for loans to teams higher up.
  10. Also, I can't think of anyone we've "missed out on". I've heard it mentioned a few times, but I'm just not seeing this massive line of quality defenders signing for everyone else while John McGlynn sits at home in the evenings, with the lights off and the curtains closed, twiddling his thumbs and staring longingly at his phone.
  11. I'm perfectly happy to wait, too. I'm also sticking to my "no news is good news" line. I would've thought that if another club was coming in for him, they would've done so by now, he's been freely available for a long time now.
  12. Yup, it's the same here in the the Bay. It's absolutely whoring it down every now and again. It was like this last night, it's nice and dry then ten minutes later my street has a tidal flow.
  13. She probably found you incredibly annoying. You'll have that Irritable Bowls Syndrome.
  14. Michael McIntyre was absolutely spot on with his stuff about overtaking Porsches. "I'm having him!" is the exact phrase I use, too Also, chasing folk in sports cars who go flying past. I can't help myself.
  15. Okay, not a big fan of The Simpsons, then. And, frankly, this board would be a helluva quiet if we were only permitted to talk to people we knew.
  16. I've not got a clue. I would imagine that dafties like me do stuff a bit more dogsbody in nature, like sticking "Ben 10, £49.99" stickers on fixtures that have already been erected (teehee) by some burly bloke in a St Johns Ambulance hat.
  17. I'm wondering now if all the shelves in Toys R Us are made from Mechano. Because that would be fun.
  18. Actually, I've just remembered something else she said. "It's a new store, so it's basically just a massive box at the moment. As part of your training, you'll have to do Fixtures, which is just putting up all the shelves and everything, so that should be fun." Eh!? For a start, I'm not entirely sure that people who are being trained to sell toys should be putting up massive shelf things, but I'll let that go. It's almost certainly not going to be fun... It sounds terrible!
  19. I went back to Kirkcaldy Job Centre today, to try and get a job in Toys 'R' Us, and the wee interview I had with some wee wifey was like something out of a sketch show. Her: "Why do you want to work in Toys R Us?" Me: "Well, I think it'd be a fun place to work." (This is not an honest answer. I don't want to work there, I'm applying for every job that I can, I didn't hand pick the position "ANY" at Toys R Us) Her: "Aye... it can be that sometimes..." I think I said "fun". Maybe what she heard was "soul destroying", I'm not sure.
  20. It's not my fault if I'm never in a state to write legibly! Fascists
  21. I bet if more pubs' glasses had flowers on them, less people would drink in pubs. I could solve this country's drink problems in less than a week if Alec Salmond would just reply to my letters.
  22. I'm glad that Keith understands that you cannot be rude to alcohol. Aw, I'm in Monster's sig now. I'm going to regret that. It's fucking true though.
  23. To be perfectly honest, I'll actually be absolutely fine in the morning. (Genuinely! I'll be online so you can all point and laugh at how wrong I am...) I'm just currently drinking out of a glass with flowers on it, and the whisky tastes like fire. Nobody else's whisky tastes like fire!
