  1. This is a real brekthrough. This should enable fans to entertain themselves while the match continues.

I just love how such shit is hailed as some sort of coup.

Totally agree. Why go to a football match, pay a fair bit of money to watch the match, and play with a fucking phone or a tablet for about 2 hours?

FFS, I thought the purpose of going to football was to WATCH football!!!

    Utter madness.

  2. No proof, links or quotes from me, but I am fairly sure you aren't allowed to work for two clubs at once - conflict of interest and all that. Otherwise you'd have people signing Turkish players that a club couldn't get rid of, or something. And then pocketing 30k for the transaction (tax free, of course).Or something :-) Sent from my Nexus 7 using Pie & Bovril mobile app

Just to be one of the lads.........sent from a cheap LG PAYG on the back of my Yamaha............

  3. Interesting that you call on support from the aliases you mention. Just about all we need to remember about the plastic Sevcos:

"Dumbarton FC meeting results in vote in favour of newco Rangers in First Division"

0Jul 13 2012 by Andy Galloway, Lennox Herald (main ed)

DUMBARTON fans gave the nod to a newco Rangers side being voted into next season’s First Division at a meeting on Saturday.

Nearly 100 season ticket holders, Sons Supporters Trust members and club shareholders attended the specially-organised gathering at Dumbarton Football Stadium.

And despite opposition being fiercely voiced on the internet to a newco Rangers being parachuted into the First Division, a vote at the meeting revealed a 55-28 result in favour."

How did you vote? Are you SST, shareholder or just an arse?

I'm all three. I voted against. I posted on here that I voted against. And I got an earful from the SonsTrust Board Member for my comments.

    I'm not actually an arse, IMO, I'm more of a thick-skinned c**t.

For the record, the 96 that were in that room that day were duped by the presentation put in front of us. It was basically a copy of what Cockwomble had put in front of the SFL teams at Hampden a few days before.

More to the point - what the hell are you on about? I'm not calling on support from anyone. I made a point that, in the words of a particular poster on here, one who, if you analyse his phraseology, makes a comment about others being a spacker. IMO, Hellboy fits that description.

Anyway, why the f**k are you showing any concern, despite you being a mile wide of what I said?

  4. Talking of goalkeepers just be grateful that Willie whigham has long gone. And as for jim harkens even after over forty years I can still remember him just standing there as the ball sailed into the net.

right Sir, that's me paid you back the greenie I red died in error, you're now a greenie up from me. Sorry about the original SNAFU by me.
  5. I honestly don't know who you're referring to. Is it Lennon?

Nope. It was St Martin the Blessed O'Neill who said it after, IIRC, an OF game where his team were beaten by the Old Rangers. Despite his team leaving the field with a collective sore arse, he claimed that the performance was astonishingly brilliant.

I had to laugh when I later saw a Rangers fan at work with a T shirt showing 3 trophies on it and the caption was "now THAT'S astonishingly brilliant".

  6. Before the Ticketus deal the net debt of the club was £27 million, that included the £18 million owed to the bank. Whyte took a deal from Ticketus of another £27 million, used £18 million to pay off the bank, the £9 million left over is still debt which brought the debt up to £36 million (of course it was being used but it was still debt). Add to that the PAYE non-payment increased the debt to an unsustainable level. Within nine months from Whyte taking over the debt had risen from £27 million to £56 million at the time of administration. http://www.heraldscotland.com/news/home-news-/134m-debt-mountain-looms-over-rangers-fc.17237213

Youngsy, time to sit back, you've clearly made your point. What you say makes perfectly good financial sense, and I agree with your logic. I'm not an Accountant, but I am an Accounting Technician (kind of lower-level Accountant) so your logic is good in my book.

I think you're being subjected to a little bit of whataboutery here.

  7. Dumbo fans acting like Sevco/Hearts fans.

Dumbo FC spending money they don't have on players wages, just like Sevco/Hearts.

Sad bugger that I am, I found out today that Dumbo is a little area in Brooklyn, New York, between the Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridges.

  8. P&Bers to rally against Thames Water...Thames Water paid no UK corporation tax for the yearThames Water, the UK's biggest water firm, paid no corporation tax this financial year despite making £145m in pre-tax profit.P&B spokesman Hellboy QC said the tax-reducing corporate structures of some water companies were "morally questionable and on a par with Rangers FC. He also added "will naebudy think o the hospitals?"Rangers manager Ally McCoist who drank a glass of water while in London once, refused to comment.

As opposed to Rangers RIP not paying tax of ANY kind.

Short memory you've got, or is that part of your descent into being a totally shite poster?

  9. Name a better central defender that we can afford that would realistically sign for us. I think smith will play there next season. Its looking more likely that Murray will indeed be playing next season. Either central defence or left back. If so, Lithgow isn't that big a loss. I like the adaptability in our squad.

Agree with you there, Snudge. Smith will move into central defence, Linton will get the LB position.

Which can only mean that James Creaney, if he's still with us, will be wrapped up in bubble wrap and kept away from football matches.

    Clouds and silver linings, eh?

    Edited for primary school spelling

  10. Apart from him being a beast what's your thoughts on his football ability? Will he do a job?

Solid defender, and yes, he'll do a job. I'm disappointed he's going/gone but he'll do OK with you. Just expect a load of shit from other fans regarding his sexual exploits a few years ago.
  11. You seem angered by my limitations.......

Seriously, Dumbo was a term used by someone a while back that riled some erm..Dumbarton fans, and has stuck in my mind.Only use the term as a wee wind up.No disrespect to you or your club intended whatsoever.

OK, fair enough, you've just come up in my estimation; you're much better than Bennett....I was tempted to call your lot Cowdung but I'm glad I didn't. The Dumbo bit was something that Queens Park fans used to use as well and it rips my knitting. Which is strange as I'm pretty level-headed at the best of times.yacunt. :-)
  12. I have to say I thought he looked more suspect in the 2nd division than he did this / last season.....perhaps it was the Craig Gordon influence.....or perhaps (after In Murray came in) our defence looked bit more solid with Lithgow and Graham as commanding centre halfs?

aye, you could be right, but he still provided us with a number of scary moments with his inability with cross-balls, even last season. Gordon must surely have had some influence as he was/is a great goalie (I mean Gordon, not Shay!!! Shay's good, not great).
  13. Dods didn't impressed me at all last season. Yantorno would be fantastic; Unlikely, but fantastic.

Keiran Brannan has joined Chapman at Annan for anyone interested.

I quite liked Brannan. Always seemed to try and put a shift in, honest player, and a loyal servant to the Club.

    Good luck to him
