  1. Apologies if this is a duplicate point.

I was wondering why Chuckie was going even madder than normal over the reconstruction idea of 12-12-18.

Does he not want to increase season ticket prices next season by a large amount (I remember 30-40% being mentioned a while ago). However would that not be a bit awkward when Sevco are in essence playing the same teams plus a few extra diddies, (mine included)?

Just a random thought before the company/ club crap starts again.

I think it is actually a duplicate point.

Green was spitting tacks about this last week, saying something about the fact that if reconstruction comes around, he would have to look elsewhere outside Scotland for an alternative - IMHO trying to get to play in England, but at God knows what level.

The 30-40% increase, I believe, is over a number of years, and not just in one year. I think it's about 10-15% per annum.

I think that this might also be part of the reason that he went Tonto last week. Amongst other things, his ability to push the ST costs through the roof was restricted somewhat when he realised he would probably be in a similar league next year.

Reconstruction might save the Bears getting ripped off for once. That can't be a bad thing for the Supporters, for a change.

  2. Out of all the title wins I've witnessed as a Rangers fan our next one is going to top them all. What a party it will be and timothy will be crying into his jelly and ice cream. Bring on the 55th.

Why? You're in the Third. We won that a few years ago. It's nice to win a title in the Third but all it does is get you out of the lower echelons of the Leagues and give you a warm feeling for a wee while.

So, why is it going to top them all?

  3. It wasn't though, its recorded as a title win for both clubs, we have 54, you can content yourself with 1 and half titles if you wish ;)

Well, if it stops the "54 titles and counting " cr@p from some of your contempoaries on here, I'd be delighted.

"53 and a 1/2 titles and couning" doesn't have the same ring, does it?;)

I guess we'll just have to be content with our pioneering performances all those years ago - won't happen again, I'm afraid.:(

Oh, and a happy new year to you.

  4. Thing is, people who aren't trying to desperately convince *themselves*, don't constantly bang on like this.

"Another year, this, the 140th year in our 140 years of history, stretches out before the totally-the-same-as-it-ever-was Rangers club that is 140 years old, in this, it's 140th year of officially existing during 140 years. Rangers, founded in 1873, the same as the club in 2013, which is 140 years old, and still absolutely the same club, so obviously the same club that it barely needs repeating that 140 years of history have passed for the club in the last 140 years. It's a total no-brainer, obvious to all but the most demented Timmy-lover, that we're 140 years old, in a 140 years of being in existence type way. Only a fool would dispute we're 140 years old, or need it explained in any detail, what with it being so self-evident that Rangers are 140 years old, in this, their 140th year of being the same club-but-not-a-holding-company that has existed for 140 years. We couldn't be any more relaxed about being 140 years old, and have nothing to prove to anyone about our 140 years of history which by the way include this, our 140th year."

oh did I mention 140 years

You quoted this straight from "Only and Excuse", didn't you? That reads like a Jonathon Watson/Tony Roper special !!

  5. First of all i don't claim to be an expert in company or football laws, most of it goes above my head. To me it's the same club that i've supported since i was a nipper, what some bit of paper may or may not say is irrelevant to me,

Rangers are my team and i go and support them, pretty straightforward really.

    2 observations, Bennett:

    1. Well done to you for going to support your team - fair dues.

    2. To stop all this Club/Company rubbish, why don't we all morph the two words into one word - "Clumpany"?

I think that would stop a lot of tit-for -tat shite on here, no? :D

  6. Are we back to "it's no the same club" pish on here yet again? Listen you all can say we're not the same club for as long and as much as you want but it will never be our opinion or what UEFA,FIFA,ECA,SFL etc says or what the rest of the world barring Scotland think. So up ye ya c***s. We'll be proud of our glorious 54 titles and you lot can envy us.
But you haven't got 54 titles, you shared one with us in 1890/91. In fact, if goal difference had been taken into account back then, you'd only have 53, not 53 and a half. So up <U>ye</U>, ya c**t..

I see what you're saying and it was my first thought that other areas need addressed first. In saying that, Murray might know he's probably stuck with what he's got and needs them to be at their highest possible level to have any chance of keeping us up. I also hope to God that we're not paying the guy all that much.

These are my thoughts, just a little twist on what you're saying....

  8. 1356453000[/url]' post='6920305']

Ach, get ower yirsel Boagheed Rantur! Murray is just tryin' tae dae 'hings his ain way an' if he thinks oor plerrs huv a fitness problem, then that's his call. If it teks an expert tae soart it oot then get oan wi' it!

Does anyone out there have a translation app?

    Dumbo fans are deluded.

Mid table 2nd div side who got lucky in the playoffs. Was always going to be a struggle. Better sides than them didnt get promoted.

Agreed. We're here on the merit of winning the playoffs, not by being the best, or second best team.

But we are here simply because of the process.

So, get yourself some bricks, concrete and maybe some metal, go build a bridge and get over it.

Fuxake Teds. I'm agreeing with you for the second time in 24 hours. Is this without precedent?

I'd have said that most of the regular posters on here do keep gibes and banter to a civil level. Now and then we have the odd zoomer but mostly we are simply having to wade through repetitious cant dressed up as originality.

The big problem is that this thread has said all it is ever going to say. Nothing new is going to emerge until any either of the following take place:

    • The tribunal from the pathetic and thoroughly asinine SPL plod their weary way through some kind of farrago regarding 'dual contracts'.
    • The discredited HMRC have their tawdry attempt to reopen The Big Tax Case swept aside and, yet again, get handed their arse on a plate.

The salutary fact is that nothing of note is happening in Scottish football except in the 3rd Division.

The SPL is clearly is finished for the year. We know who will win and we know who will get relegated. Moreover, the average attendance is much lower than last season yet the deluded diddies paint it as, 'the best league in years'.

Leagues 1 and 2 are in stasis apart from the phone-box full of Jaggies who are acting like dugs with two dicks and behaving like arrogant fools just because their club has actually managed to win a game or two for the first time since they scored 4 goals in one half against Celtic before most of their maws were even born.

It's a true truth: The only interesting thing in football is happening in Div 3 where we have enjoyable games, great crowds, lots of banter and not a hint of rancour.

The diddies and plastics from the upper divisions hate it.

It hurts me to say this, as you are usually a pretty decent poster: today, you really are depriving a village of it's idiot

  11. Was that the case?

Pre-liquidation, would it have been more difficult for Green to raise a share issue? I'm thinking that existing shareholders might have had to agree to a dilution of their holdings, and that the debts (even if a CVA had been agreed) would have made it more difficult to attract investors/share buyers.

Might it always have been Green's intention to liquidate?

That's a robust statement and a very good question you raised there.

It wouldn't be beyond the realms of the imagination for Charles Green to consider that option. After all, he and Whyte are both crooks businessmen and I would imagine that most crooks businessmen would have taken the liquidation route anyway (Miller and possibly Ng had that route in mind also) as it appears it would be the least expensive/most profitable route for them to take.

  12. Different person I believe

Whats happening with Dumbarton this year? Masterplan to make sure they play Rangers next season? :D

Please don't try and big yourselves up - your team and their journey in the lower league(s) is no consideration of ours.

We're having a bad season, no doubt. But we now have a new Manager, who you might remember from Rangers' better years. Hopefully he can guide us to 9th position and the play-offs, or even one spot better for survival in Division One.

We might not necessarily get relegated this season. And Rangers might not necessarily get promoted either.

  13. Blog has been removed

Sorry, the blog at leggoland2.blogspot.com has been removed. This address is not available for new blogs.

Did you expect to see your blog here? See: 'I can't find my blog on the web, where is it?'

There was a David Leggat in court the other day for possession of hundreds of thousands of improper images of children.................could there be a connection between that story and this lunatic, or is my imagination just in overdrive?

Sorry, can't post a link as I saw the story on Freeview teletext.

  14. Where did Youngsy mention 1955?

    /quote]

In the beginning, back in 1955,

Man didn't know about the Rock'n'roll show,

    and all that jive.

The White man had the Schmaltz, the Black man had the blues,

but no one knew what they were gonna do,

then Tchaikovsky heard the news and said....

Let there be light, and there was light,

Let there be sound, and there was sound,

let there be drums, and there were drums,

let there be guitar, and there was guitar.........

    Let there be Rock !!!!!

You should know that one, Bennett, being a connoisseur of Rock music, no?

  15. There you go posting shite straight from your wee single brain cell debunking peoples posts without actually having the evidence to disproof it  and no I didn't make it up because Green's new Rangers played it's first ever game on a training park.I just can't remember what club it was that had a training exercise with the newco rankers.

Back to school, son - it's disprove ....ach, feckit, there'sre too many poor spellers out there. to single you out....Education? Pfft!!
