  1. How about this - a football theme and you can switch out the coke for the beer of your choice. Subtle IMO.
  2. Looks like a lone Frazzle stuck in there
  3. Another favourite of mine from the 70s
  4. Look like it - the list of daily requirements will follow in due course!
  5. That looks tremendous - great way to display them. I collected Hard Rock Cafe baseball caps - I have around 100 of them but they're packed away in a box as they take up too much space and hard to display.
  6. There is no doubt he was struggling and didn't merit his place in the starting line-up for a while but the impact of Covid can't be ignored, along with his personal loss - these weren't so much excuses as reasons for his loss of form IMO. It will be interesting to see how he gets on at the higher level.
  7. We never had the Provi but the McGills man would come every Friday. It didn't seem strange at the time, but I remember he would just let himself in and come down the lobby into the living room. The Pru (insurance) man did the same.
  8. It sounds like the good old days when the collector from the department store would come around on a Friday night to collect the weekly payment.
  9. The scissors have that covered. I'm not advocating scissors b.t.w. , far from it.
  10. Which is more than can be said for some...
  11. Thomas Courts sounds like a 1990s furniture store
  12. It must be bad if you're missing the good old Philippines! In my last UK job I travelled all over the UK every day - I cannot imagine how I would have been able to survive if I wasn't able to get out and about a lot.
  13. That was most certainly true before the 2008 Financial Crash but I think a lot of companies by necessity had to clamp down on such jollies. They've probably started to creep in again so this pandemic will likely bat it back down again, Not only will people not necessarily be allowed to travel on business but they may not want to either.
  14. Yep. right on the corner - was it next to the Town House, or maybe even the Town House later?
  15. We had a Brian Sherriff's in Dundee too, a real old style toy shop - I too bought my model railway stuff there. The only other one I can remember in Dundee was the originally named The Toy Shop.
  16. Not as pissed as I am at you using that Americanism.
  17. Last Sunday a taxi stopped beside us and the driver said he'd take us and put the meter on (they often don't here). We didn't need a taxi so we sent him on his way. The wife said he would driver faster to get a higher fare using the meter!
  18. I was of the same mind when I first got here but somehow it works
