It’s a dive. Which is frustrating because it looks like he has a great chance to get a shot on goal
Watching on the stream from Amsterdam so maybe you had a better view. I think there were 25x£15 on the stream. Not bad. Is that enough to keep it going?1 -
1300 season tickets sold…….and the majority on LD’s back today. At one point he took the ball down, sprayed it out to Hancock and there were still morons in our support slating him. Absolute helmets. Wrong pass apparently.
Poor game overall but thought we were the better side. If Fosu cuts out that diving nonsense then he could be a real asset. Hamilton superb today and Low controlled the midfield l. Thought Dick got the subs wrong today as well
I didn’t think he dived. Not a penalty but not a dive.1 -
Ridgers Inverness’s best player every time we play them. I was very surprised to see Luke Donnelly playing in the Chris Hamilton position 🫣[emoji51][emoji23] but it worked. Maybe Luke has found his position.

Deri Corfe confirmed
Finally a winger! That’s exciting.1 -
Tell that to the thousands of satisfied revellers who attended the recent summer concert season at The TCS (The The Caley Stadium). Has the village of Arbroath ever hosted a concert?
I think the Corries came once in 1969.2 -
I've just gone on and chosen an away seat in section A and was just a click away from the checkout
Me too.1 -
Checked their site and found there is no seats available in the stand for away fans and this only Tuesday, there's no fuckin way I'm going to stand, in this day and age, on the grass terracing in the pishing rain and howling wind for £20.
So that's a loss for them.
Arbroath fans come up to Inverness get a covered seat have full access to our stadium bar and we're expected to go there and accept 1950's type football infrastructure, we've moved on since then.
There’s no grass terracing. All the terracing is covered. The forecast is for 17C. Glad you’re not coming.
Edit: I checked. There are plenty of stand tickets available for away fans. Havering.3 -
Exactly. If anyone things we played constant swashbuckling football last season, easing past everyone we played, then they’re deluded. We had many games where we ground out a win or a draw even with Nouble etc playing.
Personally I’m delighted with a point after a poor performance and some loans still to come in. The bottom line is, we’re a point better off than we were at this stage last season.
39 points to go.2 -
Apparently Hammy is suspended the first 2 games of the season
For yellow cards last season?1 -
So it looks like we will offer an international stream, but that it won't be valid with season tickets? So pay per view outside the UK only?https://www.arbroathfc.co.uk/ppv-and-streaming/
The live streaming of League matches in the UK & Ireland is not currently permitted in Season 2022/23.
Supporters will recall that streaming was introduced (with the consent of Sky Sports) to allow supporters to watch matches when they were not able to attend in person due to Government restrictions for the pandemic.
That clearly is not the case anymore. However, the SPFL recognise this has been a valuable income stream for clubs and they are continuing discussions with Sky.
It is clear that, as already advised, (a) blocked hours will be in place this season (meaning no streaming from 2.45pm to 5.15pm on Saturdays); and (b) virtual season tickets will not be permitted.
Unfortunately this means we will only be able to offer Arbroath FC TV this season to overseas supporters.
Makes sense.2 -
Yes I know non-UK is legal and yes I know about VPN. The question is, will the club bother to broadcast a live stream for International fans?

No more live streaming of Saturday matches kicking off between 2.45 and 5.15.....just in case anyone was in any doubt !!
Not even for non-UK fans?1 -
I had a young American staying with me last summer while he tried to get a gig in Scotland. He trained with Arbroath a few times. I tried to tell him he'd never get a work permit before he even came over. Have you ever tried telling an American something they don't want to hear?
Anyway, not why I looked in. I was just wondering if you'd let us clone Dick and Ian Campbell? Just asking.
I don’t think the world is ready for 4 Campbell twins, but post-Brexit it’s no doubt legal.1 -
He must have another reason to be in Scotland or he’d never get a work permit.

Saw him play for Peterhead at Morton in 2018. Disappointing. Subbed after 70 minutes. He’s 35 now. I think we could do better.
Wtf?1 -
Am I missing something? We have sailed through our group winning every game and only lost 1 goal. Into the last 16 in total cruise control.
We need to bring a striker in, I have listened to Campbell say in at least 3 interviews that this will probably be a loan player and will come in august.
Actually buzzing for the league to start. We’re going to be a hard team to beat again.
8 different scorers in our League Cup games. That’s how we thrive.1 -
Complain when they dont score, and when they do its because they were easy goals
Noones the answer up top, we dont play a game to suit most strikers, for a start there is zero support for any striker, and even if you do have someone like Nouble, he scores next to no goals as 1 striker against 4-5 bodies week in week out.
But since you talk like your Lewandowski give DC a call and lets see your fat arse run about doing any better. Give ( us all ) a real laugh.
Pretty harsh. No league goals in the last 2 seasons for Donnelly. Saying he’s not the answer as a striker is hardly controversial.3 -
I also don't live in Arbroath. Last season they had a desk outside the ground with tickets to be collected, think it was at the Kelty cup game I collected mine. I assumed they would do similar this season, I can't go on Wednesday but thought I could collect mine on Saturday.
I had mine mailed to me last season.2 -
Flashscore a bit slow with the scorers today - usually better. Also you get match stats for the Championship games.

No Linn, Paterson, Shanks - that looks a pretty conservative line up from us.

I use Flashscore.com
Me too - I use the Flashscore app1 -
Will there be a live stream of Edinburgh v Arbroath?

Won’t get an easier win then that all season. In cruise control all evening. Dylan Patterson my man of the match. Looked very dangerous out wide.
I do feel we need defensive cover in ASAP. Always the worry of TOB/Ricky/Hammy/JT picking up a knock in a meaningless game. I understand we have Goldy to slot in at FB but a proper defender on the bench would be good.
I agree - Dylan was my mom too. Bobby was excellent in the first half. All 4 of our central midfielders played very well. The back four looked like Rolls Royces against that lot. All you can say about Cammy Gill from that match is that he looks confident and his distribution is good.
I also agree about defensive cover - that’s why I was gutted at losing Henderson. But that’s the problem isn’t it? If you sign a quality defender they’ll want to play, and not on the left wing.
And Luke scores another good League Cup goal. Here’s hoping…1 -
Donnelly needs a game to get his annual cup goals

If we had Nouble and Jack Hamilton or Dowds we’d be strong title contenders. Nothing much has changed. We’ve strengthened a bit apart from the much needed loan strikers. Please.
