  1. Same kit, I'm afraid. That'll be 4 seasons in a row with the same hoops top ( albeit it was the away top for a couple) and a million seasons in a row with the red one. Any reason why the kit manufacturers aren't freshening things up? I assumed the current half price sale and lack of size options was for a reason. Are they going to at least refresh the stock next season?
  2. We weren't on Saturday, that only happens at the members meetings and quite frankly it's a lot of shite most of the time. If I want to share info on here with supporters - usually stuff that I think is relevant and not too confidential - I will and I have done before For the record, you didn't miss much that hasn't already been said. I'll PM you Bob later when I get the chance ( so I don't upset any sensitive souls)
  3. Oh that's top patter. ..ffs man , you have the cheek to have a go at an86. You roasters are all over our threads.
  4. ha ha Aye he came on as a sub and scored twice We'd already won promotion 2 weeks earlier at Shire ( three teams got promoted that season due to league reconstruction) We just needed a draw. Berwick had to win and hope we lost. We were shite first half and with about half an hour of the game to go we were 1 down and Berwick were 2-1 up. Step forward your keeper Ross Godfrey who let a sclaffed shot from Danny Ferry through his hands and over his head. Scenes! Only one winner after that. Fantastic day. Cowdenbeath were a class act that day as well off the park Levein was your manager back then, wasn't he?
  5. I did but didn't get too far up that bloody fence like that scene from the Great Escape when wee Angus Lennie goes nuts when they find one of the tunnels ( but without the machine guns obviously)
  6. To be fair, after watching that interview he deserves everything he gets. Full of passion but unfortunately directed in all the wrong places. Blaming everybody for the current situation apart from himself, rambling on about the start of next season , and complaining about his budget for players when he is in the same division as us and Albion Rovers . Embarrassing stuff
  7. It's obviously down to ability as well. We are a better team so if we play to our capabilities on Saturday we should win. We certainly won't be lacking in motivation, we want to finish as high as possible. The thought of losing to the team bottom of the league should be motivation enough, that's a depressing trip back up the road for players and supporters Of course if the Berwick team that turned over Peterhead show up and we don't play well then I reckon they probably will beat us
  8. Yes, but he must have forgotten there has also been a 7-1
  9. Thankfully our players don't think like that. We're on a decent wee run at the moment, nobody seems to have downed tools and Roberts freshened up the team yesterday with some youngsters with everything to prove. Of course Berwick could produce the type of performance that gave them their win over Peterhead and we could play pish. Recent form suggests otherwise but that's why we still go to the football when our team is struggling, we hope anything can happen
  10. Cheers. I suppose it does make sense as it stops players getting up to anything dodgy if they are playing against a parent club who are competing for anything important ( sadly not us this season )
  11. I was hearing that one of the conditions of Smart's loan deal is that he can't play against us on the 6th. Seems a bit unfair imo. He's basically a Rovers player now as players only sign for us for one season Is this an SPFL rule or an agreement between the two clubs? I know UEFA have implemented a rule so parent clubs can't stop it from happening in their competitions
  12. If it's not them it's the Record. Pair of shite stirring rags
  13. The easy thing would be to just stop watching it. That would be a nice simple end for you
  14. "Look after your heart, you only get one........unless you're my ex wife, in which case you've got none. Really nasty woman" Absolutely lost it when the farmer started belting out the rebel songs
  15. Hoping to start the re-development of Lesser at the end of this season but everything depends on the deal with the SFA getting signed off . If it doesn't start on time then do the SFA really want what will effectively be a building site next door to the stadium during Euro 2020? I doubt the council and polis would accept that with 50,000 punters descending on the place. The sensible thing would be to start the work after the Euros and let us play at Hampden until the end of season 20/21
  16. Whatever the rights and wrongs of this punishment, quite a sensational meltdown from mad Larry on Saturday night. 5 posts in a row of seethe in the space of 10 or so minutes Nice one Larry
  17. Always a pleasure to read a fellow statto. I salute you sir.
  18. To be fair to MacPherson, he got close. We won 6-1 at Montrose the season he led us to promotion. I think if we're going to compare the two managers then best to focus on League Two. The two seasons under MacPherson in League 1 could be a grind at times but he played his fair share of attacking football in League 2 where we managed to finish 2nd then 4th ( I do realise Roberts hasn't had a full season to judge him on) Our attacking midfielders chipped in with loads of goals back then, the likes of Paul Woods and Shaun Fraser. Not enough goals from midfield this season... plus he managed to get some decent loan strikers in which made a huge difference. That play off semi for example when Duggan absolutely bodied Cowdenbeath. I'm sure Roberts must have tried to get someone in. Gow was worth a punt for his experience but he's not got the legs and energy of the likes of Brophy, Duggan, Zanatta, Keena Since Roberts took over, apart from the Stirling game when we could have scored five and the Berwick pumping, we haven't looked like scoring many goals ( maybe Elgin away ) The return of David Galt made a huge impact around that time so that was a great move by Mark to get him back. His formations have been bold at times but have left us exposed in a lot of games ( home games v Elgin and Edinburgh) I agree that any manager really needs a full pre-season to build his own squad but I wonder if he will get that chance. He only got the job initially til the end of December, now he is on a 6 month rolling contract. There must be a reason for that. Maybe the committee are waiting to see who else is available before offering him a more solid contract.
  19. Has that not been scrapped now? Pretty sure loan players can't be stopped now from playing against their parent club..or maybe that's just in UEFA competitions
  20. Same here. At least he got to play his part in a piece of our club's history down at TNS He'll no doubt score against us on 6 April
