  1. Evan Towler in from Aberdeen, talk to me @Super Elgin City @CoveRangers1922
  2. In fairness, having spoken with someone who played at Peterhead, Ferry is supposedly a pretty decent coach and was basically guaranteed to be taking the managers job if he was still there when Jim McInally left. If he keeps his football and the podcast separate he’ll probably do well but if he tries to combine the two, he’ll continue to come across as a bit of a dick and probably continue to stuff that he wouldn’t if there was no cameras.
  3. Don’t want to speak too soon but it seems to be working fine now for me
  4. Hard to say at this point, still a few clubs need to sort out their recruitment but I’d imagine we’ll be looking to push for the play offs again
  5. I just logged in on my work laptop and I'm now getting the 500 error. Similar to the issue when I'm on my phone, I can access the full site when I'm not signed in.
  6. Probably not gonna retire early but that’ll pay for a few pints after work tomorrow
  7. Dunno what the temperature was in Kirkcaldy today but if the pitches get very hot for too long it can damage the rubber pellets. The stuff also fucking stinks when it gets covered in seagull shite so a rinsing once a week would help with that.
  8. I appear to be having a similar issue to others except I’m not getting the error messsage, the Premiership, Championship and League 1 forums won’t load for me although I can get in to either the thread with the most recent activity in each forum, or through notifications. Have tried on both Safari and Microsoft Edge and just to make it even stranger, I can access them when I’m signed out of my account but as soon as I sign back in, nothing. iPhone 13 Pro running iOS 16.5 although I gather from what others are saying the device itself doesn’t appear to matter.
  9. I’m a big fan of it based on the photo, not very often that I buy a shirt but I think I’ll probably grab one of these.
  10. I did wonder how that was gonna work. If he is travelling up and down for training and matches that’s gonna be about 1500 miles a week, fair play if he’s willing to put the mileage in but surely we’re gonna be coming to some sort of agreement where he only takes one session a week or something or I can’t see it being sustainable.
  11. I was told royal blue with a similar sleeve design, the away one appears to be a bespoke colour scheme so I would assume we’ll go with an off the shelf job for the home, leading me towards this.
  12. You’ve got the castle centre which I’m sure has a country park with a few things to do for kids, my niece is 9 and loves it which will maybe give some sort of idea to the age group it caters for. Also has a decent enough cafe for something quick to eat. Other than that, Brechin itself is pretty shite, if you want to let your kids experience what life was like in this country immediately following world war 2 then take them there as very little has changed.
  13. I’m sure Leighton McIntosh had just been capped by Scotland u19s and was being linked with a few big clubs when he came on loan to us at the same time as Martin Boyle went to Dundee and done alright but was very underwhelming. He came back a couple of seasons later and was shite. Jahmal Howlett-Mundle came in on loan from Hearts having joined them after I think being named the Crystal Palace academy player of the year or something. He was only there for 3 games and from memory was absolutely pish.
  14. What I can only imagine is our new away shirt. Quite like that tbh.
  15. I knew the outcome was gonna be less severe than most had anticipated but that’s a pleasant surprise.
  16. I can only assume we’ve had the option to extend the deal and done so to allow us to get even a nominal fee, if not he would have been free to sign from June 1st.
  17. I see we’ve got a few out of it too, I was under the impression that he was out of contract so either we had an option for another year which we’ve taken to secure a fee, or he signed another deal that I somehow missed. Wouldn’t have thought it will be any significant amount but better than nothing.
  18. I quite liked the chaos factor tbh. I remember not last season but the season before he came on against East Fife with 15 minutes left, scored 2 goals within 5 minutes of coming on and seemed to just constantly run about smashing East Fife players, great entertainment.
  19. Think he had a couple of knocks when he first came back from Ireland, and then needed surgery for a hernia which was apparently quite a complicated one. It probably says a lot that we gave him another 6 month deal to try and get himself back but he just wasn’t gonna get a good enough run of games as 3rd/4th choice behind McCalister, Johnston and Wright and it was probably best he moved on. If, and it looks like a very big if, he can get himself fit and playing consistently he’s probably gonna be at least a 1 in 3 striker in terms of goals.
  20. Turns out we are playing you lot on the Friday night and Arbroath on the Saturday afternoon, strange. I’d imagine we’ll probably use a lot of the young lads, squad players and maybe some trialists against yourselves and play a stronger team on the Saturday.
  21. I don’t think he’s been fully fit for a couple of years now. I’m a big fan of Martin Rennie and had he been fit would still have had him at Montrose, really hope he can get a good pre season and have a good run at it again.
  22. Surely someone’s got something mixed up there, we play Arbroath on July 1st and even with that being a testimonial, I’d be surprised if we’re playing you the night before.
  23. I’m not sure if that’s a new thing or not but I’ve stumbled out of the British Legion at the ground at 15:00 on the dot multiple times and never once had any issues getting in.
  24. Aaron Lennox away, to the surprise of absolutely nobody.
