So because we don’t give our strikers good service we shouldn’t bother debating who our best option is? Bit of a strange way to look at it.

Genuinely think Callum Paterson might be one of the better options right now.

You could probably have a thread dedicated to c***s on the Whitlett’s roundabout outside Ayr. It’s only been there about a decade so you’d think folk might have learned what lane goes where. Nearly crashed into some w**k in an Audi yesterday as he decided that attempting to switch lanes at the last minute (without signalling) while squeezing himself into the small gap between me and the car in front was a wonderful idea. Needless to say he didn’t manage to pull this off - but still had time to outdo himself by going about 40 in a 30 zone once off the roundabout to get to the front of the queue at the next set of traffic lights.

I don’t think many would deny that he’s been shite but he’s far from the only one. I’d say Robertson, McGinn and McGregor to name 3 have all been incredibly disappointing the past few games - yet it’s quite clear they’re still some of our best options. The problem we have is finding an 11 that play well together in a system that suits them (and trying to get them a bit of confidence). I’m reluctant to write off any individuals as not good enough based on what we’ve seen the past year.

I don’t think he’s quite the Messiah a lot make him out to be but he’d still be well out of our price range.

The flat 3 in the middle didn’t work in the last 2 games. Get McTominay and someone else sitting in front of the defence with Armstrong or Christie further forward to hopefully stop whoever’s up front from being cut off.

It still would have been ideal if our midfield had played to whistle instead of standing there flapping their arms about while Caley ran up the park into the box.

If you’re making an argument for Canning it would be that he’s used to working at a club with limited resources, bringing through youth players and he probably wouldn’t disrupt things too much. I don’t think he’s the worst shout out of the lot but it is a bit concerning that Hamilton fans almost universally wanted him sacked.
