When you think about it, if he’d signed for us in the summer instead of Adeloye we’d almost certainly be down in Dunfermline’s place. Quite an impressive feat to be so responsible for a team’s relegation.

Ballots in Ayr are always quite bland with a lack of small and/or loony parties running. Very little canvassing going on as well. I had a despairing choice between 2x SNP, 2x Tory, 1x Lab, 1x Lib and 3x Ind. Considered the independents but 1 was an ex-MSP with previous for ridiculous expenses and some dodgy goings on, 1 was quite clearly a shy Tory and the other just seemed like an arsehole. So it was a spoilt ballot for the first time ever. Never felt so rebellious.

We were told by St Mirren and Morton fans that Baird would do well when playing alongside an experienced head to talk him through the game. We then proceeded to release Stevie Bell with no replacement.

I’ve already said what I thought about them. You’ve no idea who is being offered deals or for how long so to start going off on one about it is completely jumping the gun. I’m on the fence myself. Not feeling particularly optimistic but I’ll wait until we start handing out deals before making any predictions.

You’ve absolutely lost the place man. You’ve no idea who the 3 year deals are being offered to, if they’re even real. For years we bemoaned losing all our young players for f**k all and now when someone floats the idea of handing out longer deals you lose the heid.
