  1. I'm presuming McKenna is the experienced pro replacement of mcginn where the majority of his work will be done behind the scenes and he fits the type of player McGlynn likes for the bench sounding like he can play midfield, striker or in just behind.
  2. Agree with this, no way McGlynn thinks we've got enough cover. We conceded 28 goals all season, 7 of them in the last 3 games when we didn't have any proper centre backs.
  3. Shop might not be open tomorrow. It's a bank holiday.
  4. If you've been erect for 9 hours straight should you call a doctor? Asking for a friend.
  5. I think it might be MacIver at CB with Oliver playing up front.
  6. Aye we were shite in that last season but there were plenty of players in that team that could have been retained and he's not totally to blame for the singing on the grey brigade, the board could have simply told him no. We were shite under pressley at the end of the premier League season but let's be honest that team was hopeless and the damage had been done before the season started. He probably shouldn't have gotten the job but he certainly did better than a few of the jobbers that followed him, he at least kept us in the championship.
  7. Don't think it's fair to blame the relegation on Yogi, it's not his fault that no one at the club managed anything in the months after he left and then gave the job to May, who might not have wanted the job but he still took it and was terrible at it. Pressleys biggest mistake was being arrogant when he got the job in press conferences declaring we would definitely stay up, but we did also win the challenge cup with him as manager and did ok in the championship considering the budget so he's better than every manager that followed him based on that alone until you get to McGlynn, with the exception of the best years under Huston which were generally enjoyable.
  8. Will be interesting to see how many have opted to pay the extra and if there is an uptake in FSS contributions either in numbers or increases as well. I'm sure the club/FSS will put all the numbers out in due course.
  9. I can understand why folk would have stopped going a few years ago. It certainly wasn't fun going to the football and some of the shite on display actually made me start to believe I could have been a player in spite of my total lack of talent. Hopefully this season has won a few back, I've just renewed my season ticket this morning and hopefully there will be many more new ones as well as renewals to go with it.
  10. With the season tickets on sale tomorrow do we know if it's better for the club from a tax point of view to pay the extra £60 or to increase the FSS payment. It's probably been discussed on here already but I can't remember.
  11. Think it is miller and he does look offside so it's just as well he doesn't get anywhere near it. Both are pens as well in my opinion a push from bisland and Finn diving in. He gave away a free kick very similar against kelty last week on the edge of the box so hopefully doing a bit of training this week on when to stay on his feet.
  12. Which it will be if all of your players except your under 16s are fresh as daisies following the game against us.
  13. Wasn't at the hand but given we've played half the game with 2 full backs covering at CB I'm just glad to have kept the run going. Hopefully hendo fit for next week or we'll have a bit of a problem.
  14. Bit late for that, Douglas Ross gets pelters every time he's in the stadium.
  15. I don't think we should be chasing off supporters of other clubs. I've got a group of mates (a hibee, an Ayr and a Celtic supporter) and we regularly go to random games around the country to visit smaller clubs we haven't been too or to a game we fancy for a day out and I wouldn't expect us to get chased out of somewhere just because we weren't local diehards. If the way we play starts attracting day trippers all we should be doing is getting them to spend as much as possible.
  16. I suppose we will just need to agree to disagree because we aren't going to get common ground here, I didn't need replays to know he'd made a mistake and I don't think the players or most of the crowd did either. Even in your driving analogy you've not described an unavoidable accident, you've described one caused by a poor decision for which you are at fault which you would be punished for, not likely with a jail sentence but with your insurance picking up the costs of all the repairs if no one's hurt. Even if it's an accident if you killed someone then you might go to jail for recklessness given you changed lanes without checking your blind spot, which is negligence, not an accident and you're responsible for that.
  17. Wouldn't say it's a problem with the modern game, more like the way you played football went out with the ark. There is no way for Coll to win that ball without endangering or injuring his opponent so it's a challenge he shouldn't make.
  18. Just going by this on one football, could be wrong though.
  19. Think we will be without coll for both games and the start of next season as that will be down as a violent conduct red card. If alloa win tonight Annan still be our toughest game with them looking forward to the playoffs.
  20. Excellent to get a result in the circumstances today. Rode our luck a bit with them hitting the wood work but the players have been so good all season they deserve a bit of luck when they need it. Tough 2 games ahead with a makeshift centre back pairing of Mackie and Henderson ahead but we are one step closer.
  21. Looked a solid boot in the face from where I was in the south stand. A red card all day to be honest, just a challenge he shouldn't be making so no way it'll even get appealed.
  22. Goal of the season video up on YouTube now. Going to be hard to pick one from it, lots of good goals this season to look back on.
