  1. That's my thoughts as well. Last season we lose that game without a doubt. But we weren't at our best and other than some long range efforts Hamilton didn't really trouble us. Still top, still unbeaten and we just need to get back to our best and keep winning in a few weeks and see how things go.
  2. A fairly dull game, with Hamilton not really making any effort to win it and us lacking the quality to win it. Can see why they are getting clean sheets though, disciplined and organised with most of their team never really getting too far out of their own half. We had 2 free headers though, from Lang and Henderson. In games like this you need to bury those.
  3. I'm hoping both teams play like they know the league can't be lost at the weekend and just go full pelt. 4-3 Falkirk.
  4. In terms of that second goal it didn't impact the result in the end so not worth getting too worked up about bit there were a few mistakes. Land doesn't need to charge across the park, McCann not on the cover and Spencer unaware of the boy peeling off the back of him and doesn't track the run so McGlynn won't be happy. I think he will boot the baws in the order Lang, McCann, Spencer.
  5. If things continue this way it will end up a bonkers season with 2 teams that could have skooshed the league in any season in the last decade and one of them not going up.
  6. 3 nil is a little harsh on kelty, they've looked better than a few teams we've played this season in open play but great for Falkirk so far.
  7. Donaldson and Lang were both great today, kept us in the game after quite a few stupid mistakes that last season would have sunk us. On lawal it's the type of thing you've occasionally seen given, but it's shoulder to shoulder and the boy just rag dolls him a bit, the type of penalty you'd be raging if it was giving against you.
  8. You can't really say you can explain the dangers and let people make their own decisions when people start playing football as children, they are literally incapable of considering complex health issues they might face 40 years in the future.
  9. Another good result, shows a bit of strength in depth with the changes and then the young lads getting on for a lot of the second half. Will there be highlights? I know there was no live FTV coverage but were the boys there?
  10. Our weakest position for cover now looks left back, a loan there could be good. Even if Henderson could cover he's playing well in the middle of the park so wouldn't want to shake that up if we don't have to.
  11. b*****d, I actually clicked that in hope there .
  12. I don't think McGlynn will drastically change his style but I think he's due a bit of credit looking at last nights game. We were more direct, moved the ball quicker and even went long from the keeper a few times, if that keeps up I think it would be safe to say he's adapted that style to more suit our players and give other teams something to think about instead of knowing they can just press our defenders high.
  13. Honestly really good, his link and hold up play has been good and he looks a clever player, nice wee touches and makes good choices a lot. Not just tonight either, if he keeps it up he'll easily be one of our most important players this season.
  14. Who needs opponents when you've got refs like that and Brad McKay eh. On the very pleasing side we've scored 9 goals in our last 3 games I think and were unlucky not to have more. Long looks like he's coming on as well, a couple of good saves again today after a shaky first couple of games.
  15. In relation to the fss I'll wait and see what comes out of the meeting at the start of next month. I have to say though that I was under the impression that once we got to the required level of share Holdings that the money would be used to invest in the club, with lots of chat about this money specifically being used to support the academy or capital projects etc. (now with the loan payback). In that sense I'm happy to continue my contributions but feel there should be an agreement made with the club that the money is for the longer term support of the club and not just to give managers money to spunk up the wall each year on someone's wages.
  16. I thought we were pretty good yesterday, started the first 20 minutes well with much more directness in our playand then got a bit slow but i think we need to remember as a crowd that teams are going to come and sit in like that, to frustrate us and we should be a bit more supportive of the team or direct our frustration at the opponents. They wanted a bad atmosphere, 10 men behind the ball, time wasting right from the start of the game and that's got half our crowd shouting at our own team. Second half we were better again, got a good goal and they couldn't keep that up any longer and we battered them. I think Donaldson deserves credit yesterday, he was getting stick for not moving the ball quicker up the park, for not charging up with it but I think he does ok at that for a centre half who shouldn't have to do it, that's Spencer's job now so he's got to take control of that. Credit you nesbitt as well who showed why he got the new contract when he came on, good balls in behind making us more threatening again and got a goal.
  17. First game this season and ended up being a good result, due to improving in the second half. For me mcginn is done and shouldn't be starting, miller and Henderson coming on for him and Oliver made a Massive difference in the second half. Miller in particular just seemed to be much more focused on getting the ball forward quickly. Yeats isn't a defender and a rb does need to come in as his defending and crossing isn't good enough. Spencer had a good game and his vision and distribution will be important. We still look ropey at the back and need to stop trying to play like man city all the time. One big thing as well, it's been debated endlessly on here about whether McGlynn should stay or go but there is no goodwill in the crowd, when we conceded first in comedy fashion as usual folk were going mental and the atmosphere got sour immediately. We have to start well, or else the crowd will be on the teams back. Ps. Lawal is pish. I know I'll get pelters for that but he is, doesn't look a footballer at all.
  18. The union canals sounds like a darts team entirely comprised of proctologists.
  19. Did burrel get to double figures last year? Kennedy had 9 goals I think, I thought burrel was less.
  20. Kennedy really is the only player who left that contributed a lot of goals. Hopefully whoever ends up playing on the left wing can emulate that.
  21. I'll consent to my money being used to but a jumbo Tron provided we show replays mid match of opposition players making Jeremy hunts of things to the Benny hill theme tune.
  22. It's there a league rule or something forcing this? It must cost the club money to open that stand for tiny groups of away fans.
