While I agree that having the party leader and party CEO being a married couple probably is a bad idea how would Salmond be in a position to tell anyone what they could do after he steps down as leader. He'd be in no position to make such demands unless he had already put it into the party rules.

Just incredible, I didn't see that result coming at all. Great performance and Roddri's petted lip bollocks is just another achievement as well. As a natural pessimist I'm tempted to fear the Norway games and Georgia away parricularly after such a great result but this team seems to have a togetherness and a spine about them that that may not be necessary.

Nah f**k that. Either appoint Robson soon or not at all. None of this waiting until the summer pish. There's going to be a massive overhaul of the squad needed in the summer and the club needs to be planning for it now rather than scrambling come then. Given he just signed a new contract would it be remotely affordable for us? Would have to imagine someone in the Dutch u21 squads would probably command a record transfer fee for us nowadays.

Scream VI. Went into this for some reason not realising it was a direct sequel to the last one (I thought they were all standalone movies after the reboot) and thought this was pretty decent before falling away badly at the end. Not really spoilers but I'll put it in here just to be safe

Yeah that was pretty cool. I remembered she voiced some random characters in the first game but didn't realise the nurse was one of them. Wonder if they'll give her another, more sizable cameo role in the second series too.

Looks like the talk of more than one season to cover the second game is pretty much official now and given how good the ratings are for the show its hard to imagine things changing enough in season 2 to stop a third season happening.

Well that was a really good finale. Now just have to wait about 18 months or so for the next one.

You'd think so but I think they said in the official podcast that they didn't really want to start making content up that isn't based off the games so I kind of got the impression that they were only going to make the show to cover them. So sounds like 3 seasons might be it. As you say you'd imagine HBO and Sony would be desperate to get as much from it as they can. Druckmann has said that he's only going to make a third game once he has a good idea for it and unless they're already a couple of years into making it I don't think a new game would arrive in time for the show to take content from without there being a fairly long gap.

Season 1 covers game 1 only. They've obviously not finalised everything for season 2 yet but the makers have said they think there's enough content in game 2 to cover more than one season of TV.

Problem is how many clubs abroad can afford to pay the inflated Premier League transfer fees Arsenal would still be looking to get? Can't be too many and no guarantee those clubs would be interested. Do agree though, at least Newcastle appear to be a club on the up.

If the weather's decent I thought taking the ferry over to the nearby islands gave some decent sights, nothing too exciting over there but if the suns out its a pretty pleasant place to explore. Some decent bars along the main waterfront. We took in a Blue jays game as well, more to see the Rogers Centre than anything.

Have to admit I'm surprised how little they've done with the "fungal network" thing. I thought they would maybe just ignore it as and when it suits but pretty much since the episode they introduced it it's never been referenced again. I am surprised as well just how little the infected have been in it too. They've used them well when they have though and maybe just don't want to have them just being randomly offed in every episode in case it lessens their effect which I think kind of happened with shows like The Walking Dead.

I'm sure there'll be some clauses in the deal but the club definitely reported paying a fee for Duk so not sure what the free but with 50% claim is based on. Portuguese guy guesting on one of the Aberdeen podcasts recently said he thought the fee was 400k with no sell on percentage so who knows what the truth of it is.

Pretty good episode 8. Liked it a fair bit more than 7. Haven't really had too many complaints about the series. The only real criticisms I've had is more that I've preferred the way the game did certain things rather than actual real issues with the episodes. I think both episodes 7 and 8 suffered with feeling a bit rushed compared to how they're done in the game but short of every episode being an hour and a half long I'm not sure how much they can do about it. I assume the budget is pretty big for the show and so they probably weren't willing to stretch it to 12-13 episodes which maybe in an ideal world may have been the best thing.
