Due to Ross County staff and players having tested positive for COVID 19 Forfar have been awarded a 3-0 win as Saturday's match can't go ahead. As mentioned above this is standard and happened to us last season at Hamilton Accies when 1 of our players also had the virus.

I have to agree with Chris the streaming at the start of last season was poor but did improve a lot by the end of the season. It's Cumbernauld Colts v Airdrie at 12 noon on Saturday followed by Clyde v Rovers at 3PM. On Sunday it's the 2 losing sides playing eachother at 12 noon and the 2 winning sides playing eachother at 3PM.

It's not dead, it's hibernating (a nod to Monty Python) till next season when the colts wont be told it's on again hopefully!

League Two clubs have today voted to approve a 27-game fixture calendar for the 2020/21 season.

It's been confirmed that league 1, like the championship will commence the new season on 17th October with sides facing eachother 3 times. It's been reported that league 2 clubs are still in talks. Surely they have to follow suit? If not the SPFL do have the option to combine leagues 1 & 2 but I think that's only in the event some teams with to mothball for a season.

I could just about cope with that!

Brian Reid has drawn the short straw and is the new gaffer at Cliftonhill.

Rovers have parted company with gaffer Kevin Harper. Appears to suggest he wanted more cash for players. Pretty near impossible in the current situation to guarantee that. Statement from the club: The Board of Albion Rovers FC wish to make an important announcement in respect of their manager Kevin Harper. It is with regret that Kevin has left the club following the expiry of his contract. The board of directors saw a great deal of potential in Kevin and were keen for him to extend his stay with us but we were unable to agree mutually acceptable terms. The board would like to place on record our sincere thanks for Kevin’s hard-work, dedication and commitment to the Club, particularly ensuring the retention of our league status. Kevin leaves the club with our best wishes as he continues his career away from Cliftonhill. The Board will now start working to find a suitable replacement for Kevin and will be making no further comment at this time.

Rovers Chairman Eddie Hagerty has stepped down and shall remain on the board. The new “Interim Chairman” is Ian Benton.

No less vital for Rovers! Cove were lucky to get a point last Saturday at Cliftonhill and have no doubt we’ll be up for this game too.

Smart Osadolor has signed for Elgin City on an 18month contract. Popular the end of last season for his efforts keeping us in the league, not so much this season.

Rovers are one of the form teams in the division at the moment and I think a morale boosting performance will see us bagging all 3 points.

Indeed minimum wage means £40-50 isn’t on but there are some (not just at QP) amateurs who only get expenses and they have to be based on real figures to be legal. These are most likely to be fringe/reserve players.
