Tell them they can come in and their first tie is away to Wick. 9 hours by road one way for the 996 mile round trip!
-
I'll bet there's a few club secretaries checking the rule book very carefully tonight.
-
I bagged them quite a few years ago so you're behind me in the queue!

Forfar Athletic News 2018 onwards

Forfar fans in particular may be interested to see this BBC feature from 1986 which heavily features the club and town in it. It's a BBC Archive feature, Only a Game: Scottish Football Finances Inevitably there's an interview with Albion Rovers chairman Tom Fagan too. Must say I forgot just how deluded and arrogant Wallace Mercer was and Jim McLean also prominent in this respect too! https://discover.bbcrewind.co.uk/asset/628547ee4b0a950023598cf7 -

I like your confidence and hope the City players feel the same and Rovers will romp home! -
Dumbarton v Albion Rovers
roy of the rovers replied to Sweet Pete's topic in Scottish League 2 General Chatter
It's dangerous to underestimate Rovers as we do play some good football. Despite our lowly position we have the 2nd tightest defence behind Stirling. As this is our first visit in a number of years is the stadium bar still only for home fans and is the Rock Bowling Club still open for us visiting fans to have a few snifters before k-o? Also, is the Stag's Head near the railway station still open? -
Cumnock Juniors v Dumbarton on the Friday 21st October and Pollok v Annan Athletic on the Monday 24th have been chosen for live BBC coverage. Both k-o at 7.45pm.

Albion Rovers vs Forfar Athletic
roy of the rovers replied to fafc1885's topic in Scottish League 2 General Chatter
With Rovers injury problems this will be tough for us but fingers crossed for a home win. Forfar are wearing their white change strips and Rovers will be sporting their brand new blue shirts with white shorts 140th anniversary kit! This is a nod to our original colours worn from 1882 until 1961. -

As always I'm looking forward to my trip to Borough Briggs and can see Rovers bagging a point after a 1-1 draw with the inevitable Hester goal for City. -
This game k-o is 7.45 on Tuesday 9th August at Cliftonhill, admission prices are as follows: Adults (18-65) £10 12-17/Concessions £5 U12's (Accompanied by an adult) Free Season tickets aren't valid and cash or card payment can be made at the turnstiles! As these B teams are as welcome as a fart in a spacesuit I can't say I'm excited but Rovers should easily dispatch the upstarts.

Home to Celtic B, haud me back!
-
Yes, away fans are welcome in their club or were last season anyway, don't know if they'll bring in segregation for your game tho'
-
I'm very pleased the regionalisation is no more. A wee trip to Pittodrie, Dens or Easter Road amongst some others would be a nice change for us as I've not seen us play at these grounds before.

Clyde FC; Season 2022-23
roy of the rovers replied to the_bully_wee's topic in Scottish League 2 General Chatter
I hear that later this morning Clyde will sign a deal to share Cliftonhill from next season onwards. It's a 5 year deal and will involve extra terracing being brought back into use at our beloved stadium. -
Absolutely amazing result today for Rovers winning 4-2 at Annan. Not bad considering we had no strikers available for the game!
