Walking Down The Halbeath Road
Passionate replied to Parscelona's topic in Scottish Championship General Chatter
Otto was outstanding when he came on, arguably MOM -
Pretty much spot on.. Credit to champions elect Dunfermline, McPake who is not known for his tactical prowess, played a bl inder especially with his subs, Hamilton and Chalmers couldn't handle Friz and Telfer, that 25 minute spell in the first half Airdrie were as good as we can be, Dunfermline couldn't live with us at that time, 2nd Half even with 11 men, we defended too deep both full backs were atrocious defensively especially Ballantyne, we got the 3rd against the run of play, to be honest the 3 goal lead could have went up I n smoke even with 11 men we just seemed maxed out at times with the lead landlocked leadership. McPake kept on making progressive subs, we were A shambles and McCabe must take the flak for it, Dunfermline were so comfortable they took off Breen and put o n O Hara up front, If Sal was introduced and let's be honest we needed him, we could gain some territory , up the park etc. We were only one man down although we played as if we had 8 men... This was a free hit today, with no ground lost, worryingly though we have showed all other teams our weakness under pressure....

Looks like Rhys McCabe and Callum Fordyce enjoying themselves after the game in the Pars changing room.......some Bois......I

Scougall is arguably the best midfielder in this league, he always seems to get subbed around the hour mark, is this due to general fitness or playing through an injury, if the latter would it not make more sense to heal the injury and get back to full fitness... it certainly gives h thee opposition a boost when he trundles off... -

Looking forward to a double header against the Pars, how many do you think Will travel through to Airdrie for the game, we will probably open the 2 stands in anticipation of a decent travelling support, I heard you only sold just shy of 300 for the original game in December.... -
The game was a massive wake up call, all the immature pre match rumblings of big scores was never on the cards, to be honest we stole the 3 points today, Clyde should have had at least a point today, although Clyde strikers and subs were very poor, a good wake up call for ourselves, Smith who is integral in our team was very poor and unusually uninterested looking today, McGill who I think is the weak link actually played well first half and wa s u n lucky to be subbed that early, McGregor did give us a spark though... A wins a win for au that, Dunfermline next week should be a cracker...

Working from home, that old chestnut... -
These are the type of games Airdrie can come unstuck, if the goals come great , would take a scrappy one nil, Old Duffy knows the game, he will probably have a tight deep lying back 5, trying to feed off our mistakes and hit on the break, it's primitive, but needs must for Clyde and if we keep our patience , we should be ok, talking about running up scores, will lead to meltdown on here if it fails to happen..

Airdrie V Alloa - The A Teams

Hard game coming up, Allo a like ourselves are capable of blowing teams away when it clicks, The big question for me is how do we setup at the back, Allo a have 3 talented physical front players, Sammon, McIvor and Donnelly, all 3 I think would have the advantage ove r Fordyce who has been erratic at best this season, does ATS keep his own place, does Watson drop into C H if Ballantyne returns, it's a game we really cannot afford to lose, Rhys has to get the setup spot on.... -

No chance you would pay 20k for Jordan Allan w ith his contract up in 5 months, 5k max I would reckon.. Jordan Allan a player I have followed since he made his debut at 14, This signing shows there are no strikers in Scottish football, can he play consistent top 4 in League 1 or higher, IMO no, it's above his level, he will score goals for Clyde in a lost cause game, can he deliver when the real pressure is o n, he couldn't at Airdrie last season with a very good supporting cast.... interesting remainder of the season.... -
That's Dunfermline now out the Scottish cup, hopefully the 2 clubs can get together and organise our postponed clash for the next free Saturday 5 th round day, the 11th February...... This season is far to stop start and we need to play consistent.... Shouldn't be a problem playing league games on that day,

If fit, should be a very good signing for League 1, played championship level for Morton and Ayr, big and physical, can Obi Wan Duffy do the unthinkable.... -
It's certainly going to be a dogfight for the playoffs, Edinburgh I think will be dragged into playoff battle, pi c k any 2 from Edinburgh, Alloa, ourselves, Montrose and QOS, we have a chance next 2 games must be 6 points though .. we still have 2 loans available, will we get them....... d o we need them now..... I think a backup keeper and we will be fine squad wise....
