  1. Time for Duffyball, Big Jim is your only hope
  2. I thought Airdrie dominated in every aspect of the game, 4 -1 maybe flatters Falkirk, Easton and Frizzell ran through the midfield second half at will and always had options, Falkirks defence and keeper are hopeless when under pressure, No leaders at all..... Time sort yourselves out Falkirk you have Cove at home in a few weeks, surely you ha 've enough pride to get a result against that lot....
  3. Would Falkirk and indeed their fans give Murray the time would you accept another 3 years in this league, wouldn't think so. Murray is an old fashioned rebuild manager, he has done well for ourselves, if we manage to get promoted, I expect him to stay, if not we could find Falkirk, Raith and even Dunfermline come calling....
  4. Massive 3 pints against a Alloa side who should offer much more than they do.. The midfield was functioning better this week Dylann and Frizz playing closer together, biggest issue was up front Gal and Gabby were miles off it all game, Gall has really played that way most of the season and Gabby who is a good impact player off the bench, struggled with the basics, all day as that was up against a painfully slow centre back pairing in Graham and Durnan, Afolabi and S McGill were an instant upgrade, if we have any designs on promotion Murray needs to trust his signings, we did not look like a potential league wining side on that performance, this might be harsh big games coming up and big performances required also.....a good 3 points though.
  5. Absolutely, last week was typical Gal, missing 2_big chances second half, that's why we were crying out for a new striker, Afolabi was signed and done well enough, him and Smith are hopefully given a chance up top, McGill IMOis a good impact player second half..... I expect another tight game at Alloa, 27 points to play for , plenty points will be dropped by all teams, we need to be turning draws into wins. Teams are playing differently against us now, Easton being man marked every game, and a high press, that's probably one of the reasons for the draws,
  6. Just noticed the upcoming SPFL Trust Trophy final between Raith and QOS is being held at the Excelsior Stadium, hopefully the club can make some money from hospitality etc.... a nice wee reward to the stadium company for all there endeavours
  7. I wonder the if the new Kirkintilloch Community stadium currently under construction by EDC would interest Clyde,
  8. Although I hope you would agree that it in no means acceptable for all footballers named in this post, that their sexual antics towards women should be forgotten about, just because the system let down the victims....or highly talented lawyers managed to work their magic to get them off the charges...
  9. Of all the footballers names on that post, not one were convicted in a court of law for rape, would you agree
  10. Goodwillis was caught and let down by the system, when he should have been convicted, Scottish football is full of players who were done for assault or swinging their dicks in front of innocent females, Lithgow, Quitongo, T homson, Tiffney and a current Celtic Scottish international who got arrested in a seaside Ayrshire town about 5 years ba ck......... have all these players been given a sec o nd chance...
  11. I think we all need to settle down ffs, the old Airdrieis seeping out, Cove have been riding there luck for weeks and to be honest so have we, are both sides struggling with the pressure, I would say so, 9 games to go we are 11 unbeaten, with our best side arguably in over 25 years......I What ever happens in the remaining games the support has to sick together , one thing this bunch of players have shown is they will go down swinging..
  12. To be fair Clyde produced one of the best visiting displays to hr Penny Cars this season, very organised , scored a good goal to take the lead and we panicked, you defended deep and is got a point, a lot of knicker wetting on the game thread, I thought McAllister splaine and Jamieson looked decent on the surface.. on a side note you guys are not seriously taking a vote on a new away strip, first tme i have seen the red and black hoops, Rob Roy esque... Looked great wouldn't mind ourselves ping down hat route..
  13. I thought Afolabi was decent did his job holding the ball up, linking up play that was the issue with Gal he struggled to do it , is Afolabi and Gall the right mix. ??? Up front, not sure.. Agree about the midfield, that's a couple of games we have struggled, Easton is a wonderful player, is he a midfield ball winner though.....he never shirked a tackle or a header, We need to get a better shape and personnel in there, Agnew , has done well previously but is playing a bit in no man's land just now. .. A very panicky performance, was a must win, as a team we struggle to meet expectation, we need to calm down and let our ability win us games, that has got us to this position, No need to change....
  14. Sal is out for the season it looks lile, just had a knee op and was on crutches at the montrosec game, he came to the club totally unfit and was battling back to fitness until he blew his knee against Allo a in October, he is signed up for next season as well so hopefully comes good... Only issue I have is the only club he was decent for was yourselves in League 2 the rest have been a series of unsuccessful loan spells..
  15. Slightly off topic, does anybody know if we are planning to stay with umbro for next seas ons kit, normally around this time styles etc are agreed in order to get them processed for the new season.
  16. I would class McCann as a modern wing back a although final ball is poor, if he is struggling probably due to his covering centre backs being poor..
  17. Would he though, don't get me wrong if Murray doesn't get Airdrie promotion , i think he will be in relative demand, No that Airdrie wouldn't want to keep him, h e is doing a decent job and would be hard to replace IMO.. With McGlynn probably going at end of season (rumours) then I could see Raith come calling, Murray is a rip it up and start again type manager 4 year of progression etc, do you really think that the Falkirk job would suit him or a falkir k support who want to be transported to he good old days....
  18. In layman's terms we need to pick up 6 more points than cove in 10games, not impossible but will be tough..
  19. He was the assistant to Ellis at Queens Park before they got binned a few weeks back.
  20. After seeing most games this season , Peterhead look ok and will be probably end up 6th or 7th , much better than Clyde, East fife, DUmbarton and probably on a par with Alloa, it's hardly inspiring stuff, you are probably at the stage of managed decline ....where a significant financial investment maybe needed to progress or keep the status quo with the likes of Kelty Hearts coming up to splash the cash...
  21. Agree there is a fair bit of expectation and entitlement going around our support at the moment, we could easily drop points in this game, Peterhead IMO are better than 9th probably there cup run has blunted the league form a little, Airdrie just have to take one game at a time plenty still to happen this season , cove still heavy favourites at this time...
  22. What about putting the Goodwillie money towards trying to get Craig Bryson as manager his career is about done, knows the club etc....
  23. Mulroney has a habit of going left field Marvin Bartley or Stephen McManus fit the bill..... Or just unveil good old chipper
