Dylan Easton has signed for ourselves, looking forward to seeing him play, can he step up to league one and be a consistent performer and goalscorer, heard reports that he can be a magician on the park and also very moody, Nice to see Kevin McDonald back as assistant to Thomson, Good player for us Kevin....

McCanns stock is rising sky high without kicking a ball this off season, wherever he ends up it won't make it break either clubs season, Quitongo is a more than decent left back at our level, Do we need another holding midfield player, Kerr, Watson, McCabe even Agnew could play there....

Although I was a big fan of Paul Paton and would have been happy to resign him, the signings of Agnew, Easton ,McCabe and Frizzell has raised the quality big time, Whatever the formation Murray plays do we need a defensive midfield player, Kerr and Watson could slot into defensive midfield if required... Looks like Leon could be away, Good luck to the lad, that would leave Dean Ritchie as the only player left tosign. Still think we need a centre Half, midfield player and another striker. Who though....

When are the strips getting launched

Striker is a position we need to strengthen, in a,way we are lucky with Gallagher and Allan would think they could get 20 goals between them, Very few strikers still available at this level,,,, Russell McLean (Montrose) and Steven Boyd could be in our range although mo are confident of getting McLean to resign. Doolan and Sammon are both done and sliding down the leagues....

Farrell i s building a good squad, really talented midfield there, if you can get a couple of strikers firing, too 4 could be a distinct possibility, Consistent goalscorer s in this league are very hard to find..

The only one I heard apart from Paton was Rhys McCabe from QOS, experienced midfielder, all went quiet this week though, interesting that rival clubs in our League are signing decent players on 2 year deals, is that what is encouraging them to sign a bit of security, hard to blame the player.... for me we have recruited reasonably well although Cove, Montrose and East Fife even this early are looking strong with there squads pretty much complete... In the coming days Pre season training will be starting , the majority of players it seems are Part Time ( not got a problem with it) we still have a small number of Full timers at present Kerr, Fordyce, Rico possibly more to come, for the Hybrid to work properly you need a minimum of 50 % of the squad full time otherwise it is pointless.... Al s o we need to know one way or another about Leon McCann is he resigning o r not, are we in danger of missing other targets due to his wage still being i n the budget... Hopefully some new signings in the coming days not including Dean Ritchie

Or maybe it is a slip of a pen from a local journo to feed a gullible fanbase, hopefully McCann does sign on for another year, IF he does it just adds questions to t he signing of Rico who I am sure isn't coming here to sit on the bench..

Interesting discussion, do you think that if Dumbarton signed Turner and Paton and both showed the same form playing for them in the run in, would you think the teams would swap positions Dumbarton going for promotion playoffs and us languishing at the bottom end, where we were before Turner and Paton arrived. In that run in we played well and rode our luck in equal measure, 3 crazy own goals, late goals etc... we played with the same team more or less , with the big summer signings rooted to the bench... The team needed refreshed although some players i would have kept no one is irreplaceable at this level.... Murray has stated he wants to win the league don't we all, Apart from winning the league as Airdrie United when was the last time we lifted a League trophy... We still need 7 players or so and if the hybrid is to work effectively then the majority of which should be full time, hopefully this gets clarified in due course..

Morgyn Neill i s the player in question, Cove have signed him on a 3 year deal.. I think we would go into meltdown if we offered him a 1 year deal..

Another player we have signed who is no worse than Craig Thomson but debatable how much of an improvement.. numbers slow!y creeping up. We still need a minimum of 7 players to still get signed up...

Opinions on Jaime ? Wilson, a player that apparently we were interested in last close season, before he went to yourselves, exactly the type of player that fits our mould, would not be surprised at all if he joins a number of his ex teammates at Airdrie...
