Very comfortable. Game was over in 7 minutes. Alloa unable to cope with our movement.
For Alloa just go back 15 years to Falkirk in the Premier League against better quality sides. Pass, pass and pass but get nowhere. Thank goodness we didn’t appoint him.

Some folk would still have had ' Ricey' over McGlynn. Rice stated in an interview he didn't want to be a manager. I'm glad we didn't appoint him. Sadly I fear his gambling issues would have raised their ugly head again at some point. Think he's better as an assistant/ coach.

  2. Even this early that  game was a must win for me. We did so with a determination and attitude that we must continue with. Aye Peterhead we're poor but they came along at the right time for us  we needed a bit of canon fodder after last week. Morrison especially showed what he is capable of and he's good for 8-10 goals a season if he takes onboard what he's coached to do. He's deserved criticism but I'd bet any other team in the league would take him.

Their keeper saved them from  a hiding.

Good all round but must perform and win next week too. We're still building and have to keep momentum going.

  3. That's 11 signings and with a bit of shuffling, a brand new starting 11.

The cliche that we can't keep changing the team every season doesn't hold as after the disaster of the last few( especially last)years, we simply had to do it again, albeit with the right man at the helm.

Who knows what the season holds but on evidence so far McGlynn will have us challenging which is a welcome change.

We have our deficiencies yes, but others clubs have too and I dont see anything we should be scared of. I'd much rather have McGlynn than McPake, Gibson or McCabe. That gives us hope, something we've not had for a while.

It’s almost as if some of our fans want Rumarn Burrell and Alegria to fail so they can say ‘I told you so’. Let’s just give the manager a chance to do his job and wait and see how Burrell and Alegria turn out.

I've absolutely no doubt there's an element that would much rather be proved right than see players/ managers/ bod succeed. Incredulous stuff. It's usually those that pick and chose their games as well or spend more time on a forum that actually supporting the team.

I know that the scout has been down south a few times recently. I assume watching the lad

Kilmarnock had him watched too before signing. Let's hope he does well.

Kilmarnock manager Tommy Wright said: “He’s a young striker and Paul Stephenson (assistant manager) brought him to my attention. We’ve watched him and had good reports about him.

"He’s quick, strong and decent in front of goal and will stretch teams as well and he should be fine to be added to the squad for Monday’s game (against Ayr United).”

We've just qualified for the next round of the league cup, beating and knocking out a Premiership club along the way (Hibs wouldn't have qualified even without the 3 point deduction) . I should be really up for the new league season ahead but my enthusiasm is as flat as a witch's tit. Why? 4 games played, 1 goal scored from open play. Where oh where oh where are the goals going to come from?

While I am no where near as concerned as I was last season after Sheerin's appointment, I still think that we are in for a long hard season. In the third tier.

2 players could turn everything around. A creative midfielder and a 15-20 goal striker. Some posters are much more patient than me and seem prepared to wait until the 30th September deadline to get the "right" players in. F*ck that, I want them now!

Oh great, the 15-20 goal striker cliche raked out again. The top league goal scorer in all divisions in Scotland last season had 13 and he was a winger. So if there's a guy out there he won't be coming to us and scouts from all clubs must have missed him. We need goals from all over the park as does every other team.

Some posters live in cuckoo land.

Do Partick act as a development club for Rangers ? The amount of loans Partick take from Rangers is massive.

This came up before..they train on pitches next to each other, share same facilities,  it suits sevco, and Partick, as they only have to look over a hedge to check on a player of theirs who's on loan.

Not for me. In any organisation, you want people with diverse backgrounds and experience making decisions.

We have a situation where in theory there’s meant to be a 3 legged stool ownership model but in fact every one of those making key decisions is a member of one stool.

Members of the patrons group have effective total control of the club, which isn’t good for challenge or scrutiny.

Glaringly obvious from your posts you were either part of the past failed regimes that has taken us to our worst league finish since 1978  or you were a collaborator or sympathiser. Having a pop at folk trying to sort out this mess is tedious and petty. Get the feeling you want this new setup to fail, so inturn the club fails. There are some out there that bitter they'd accept that.
