I see highly experienced super manager Tommy Wright is continuing to do a sterling job of taking Kilmarnock into the Championship (hopefully).
Obvious changes don’t always work the way everyone expects....They have a 'head of football operations' role at Kilmarnock, reaping its rewards.

McCall in paper today regarding Partick 'there are a number of positions throughout the squad we are looking to strengthen over the coming weeks'.
We've signed one, just hope the management trio don't think we can get by without adding more. Youth and energy in midfield required, but we all knew that before season started.

Definitely need younger legs. Not sure I want to see the likes of Alston , Todd, miller or even gomis having to play two games a week for a few months.
Todd struggles with one a month.

Didn't the proposal the clubs submitted propose starting back up at the start of March?

I doubt any other full time club would have him. Livingston will take all.the scum of the day though and unfortunately it seems to work for them.
And thy care not a jot, sitting in top 6 of top league, and a cup final meanwhile we take the moral high ground sitting league 1. Not proposing we throw all our principals out the window as a club by god we've been way too nice in the past. We need to toughen up on and off the park.

Interesting read regarding 'joint' managers and a few, unsurprising quotes. More often than not, co- managers fail or are short term, irrespective of who the names are. We did of course win a league with co-managers, again short lived. FFC BOD take note.

3rd in the league and as you say he helped. Seems to have done nothing of note since mind you. Managing that behemoth of the footballing world Barbados just now.
Applied for, and didn't get the Alloa job. His track record as a manager is poor. Campaign to get him the Falkirk job hinged on him drinking with a few folk in BTW, nowt to do with managerial ability. We dodged a bullet there.

On the contrary I would imagine he'd be doing a lot of presentations if it's the modern DOF role. The only other DOF i have any detailed knowledge of is the one at Leeds. He does a lot of in-depth presentations to transfer targets to persuade them to sign and to potential loan players and their clubs.
What excites me a bit about Holt is his experience with the Norwich academy - hopefully he can use that experience and re-establish our academy successfully assuming that's part of his remit. He's young and should bring a bit dynamism to the role.
I wish him well and hope he stays in the role for years to come , and not become a lazy managerial appointment.
He'd better have alot of empty fag packets then ! Agreed, there will be alot of presentational stuff, hopefully he's progressed in that department.
James Fowler at Kilmarnock does a similar type role, this type of job may provide safer and longer term employment for ex coaches. Just hope Holt commits as he has previous for bunking off.

Holt about as good an appointment into that role as we could expect guess. As others have said, he should have some decent contacts and will bring back experience he didn't have first time round. Should also be committed given he left a bit early last time and has been here before.
I hope he doesn't end up as manager - if we're going down the sporting director route, we need to be committed to that for at least 2-3 years and give the role a chance to make a difference. Should M&M go, I'd hope Holt would stay where he is and we'd bring in someone else as manager.
' Should be 'committed is the hard part,he's walked from 4 clubs,us being one of them. Time will tell but maybe he sees it as a more secure position ( or is that easy money for the long term? )
Just hope he doesn't do any presentations, his feeble attempt when manager at the agm would make Chemical Ali look professional.

I understand it’s win on Saturday or they walk . Now not sure what result I want ?
If true do they walk of their own accord or get sacked ? Ultamatum on one game smacks of an amateur approach ( again ) . Please ask your source to be more precise.

Big pressure on the BOD now ,let's see what way they turn. I felt m n m done ok start of season, points wise not performances, but once we hit the crucial games they've failed and failed badly. The manner of defeat yesterday was appalling, we can all see that but will the BOD? Do they stick with m n m? Do they wait until a DOF is in?will it be too late for transfer window ? After the appointment of Gow I have serious doubts they will do the right thing. Alot of good has been done off the park but they are not beyond reproach.

Are we covered with insurance for the floodlight damage? Hope so.

1 from 6 at home simply not acceptable, we came up well short. 4 clear at the top shows how bad the opposition are. Approach, personal and tactics were all wrong, as mentioned we got what we deserved.

So we’re a much better side than last term then?
I don’t disagree but I’m kinda fed up with the ridiculous levels of negativity after our first defeat last week.
Let’s review the situation after the Thistle game.
Jeez, if anyone had said pre-season we could be turning the year 6 points clear of the field most would bite your hand off.
However a few are never happy and think we should be Barcelona....100% agree

Big test for management in approach to game, personnel and tactics as well as response and characters from the players. Capable of winning this if they apply themselves properly, draw or lose meaning maximum 1 point from 6 is a failure.

Play your best players in these games. Hindsight great I know, but Morrison and Alston shoulve started if fit. Last chance saloon for Leitch and he blew it. Airdrie set up well and we couldn't combat it. Must beat Partick now.

We should be confident going into this game without being too cocky about it. 4 points from next 6 minimum would see us with a decent gap ahead of Partick. Finish above them and we'll win the league.

Hopkin paying players out his own pocket, cant help but think that in amongst that list Raith will be amongst them, maybe they could start a crowd funder the last time they were pleading poverty or ask the other clubs to help fund them:
https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/scottish-government-warned-critical-championship-23178871In an ideal world we shouldn't revel in other clubs misfortune but they created the monster. As stated before we've been royally shafted by other clubs via votes and the authorities decisions too many times. Our BOD were soft as putty in the past which didn't help. The goody two shoes days are over for us hopefully. Law of the jungle where the strongest survive its about time it was our turn. Il have little sympathy.

Squad size and competition for places now paying dividends. Gomis has excelled since Miller dropped out. Good to see Connoly play and create, means we don't need to rely on Morrison all the time. Clyde were better than I though considering their layoff but we done a good professional job on them. Confidence must be high going into next 2 games. Come out of them still 6 clear will be fine.

And potentially Steven Bell, 36. Geggans 33 , Erskine 34. I wouldn't be too chuffed if that's what we were signing however we're hardly awash with youth and energy ourselves.
