I have yet to see ONE poster write the team off. The critics are saying we don’t have the firepower to win the league. Ruth will hopefully help in that department but as he is untried it’s hope rather then expectation.
I wasn't referring to posters on here, was referring to folk at the games.

I’m assuming a few posters on here have already written off Keena?
And the rest of the team according to some.

Still believe we'll bring another striker in, albeit on loan. They openly talked on the QnA session about a 15 goal striker, Sheerins interview on Saturday kinda contradicted that to a degree, but I still believe we'll be looking. Sheerins Arbroath side that won the league had the seasons top scorer in Gavin Swankie (21) , so he knows the script. Still believe Keena is good for double figures at least, but we need more than that from striking department.

Folk that were moaning about youngsters topping up the first team squad now moaning that they're going out on loan. Fickle fc.

If you read back there was a load of discussion re the NB and their intentions....and it’s pretty clear BPM is heavily involved. Plus the reason why we are still talking is because of a possible black hole in the finances which will impact on the clubs ability to bring in half decent players in January if required.
It could be argued that the BoD have got lucky with Sheerin and the run of results/quality of play has deflected from the state of club governance, which is a separate issue but will have an impact at some time in the future.
Gow was commentating for Airdrie TV. That tells you all about his association with our club. He was only a front man for some dubious group who certainly weren’t Falkirk guys like the NB.
One of the things that annoys me most about Deans tenure was the absolute diabolical decision to appoint Gow. Everyone and their dug had heard he was a front for a consortium..apart from Gary Deans obviously. Maybe if hed went to games before being chairman he would have heard this. End result was a knife edge vote with the future direction of the club up for grabs. Lets not forgot the small shareholders carried it through. Now we have Rawlins pulling the strings ( which I dont think is bad thing at present, time will tell),while Deans and his cohorts hanging onto the coat tails and will no doubt claim credit if were successful on the park. Look at the previous 18 months with this bod, horrendous record. Rawlins himself said the club was a mess, hence the restructuring. Deans and co are merely puppets for Rawlins, whos intentions we still dont truely know, but he has at least experience and a track record in football.

Think we will see more of the setup Clyde employed yesterday with teams coming to the FS. Its up to us to get the breakthrough, although patience will be required. Good thing is we are getting goals from all areas of the team which is pleasing. Morrison with new deal, we need to enhance Nesbitts and Sheerins too before the vultures start hovering. Dig deep Mr. Rawlins.
Good bond developing between coaching staff, team and fans. We've needed that for a while.

There is an article and the livi manager has stated he wants to send gavin Riley on loan till January.
Was out for 4 months at end of last season, hamstring tear. Been on bench for majority of games so far. Sounds viable he'l go out on loan to get up to speed.

Dowds will he 25 in a couple of months and we're still talking about potential and fitness. We've seen enough. We need better to progress.

Firstly, how good was it being back at the games wi your mates. The simple things we took for granted. Know fans of other clubs who feel the same.
Different way to win yesterdsy which bodes well for future tough games. Good team spirit. Handy we have players who can play various positions and adapt well. Q. Park, Cove etc will find it tough at Airdrie. 4 points away from home v Cove and Airdrie is good at this stage. Have to make next 2 home games count.

Was very impressed by the young lads ( and others) who played last night. In a short space if time you could see they had been coached well in their roles. Bodes well.
Is it too early to start worrying when another club comes in for Sheerin? Its in our dna.

A great feeling to finally have our team back. Some excellent stuff played and players buying into Sheerins approach. God, its been a while since we came out of games having been entertained. Its not too much to ask. Nesbit motm for me, he was excellent, and imo his best position. A bit of pride in our team once again. Good feeling. More of the same please.

We shouldn't be signing anyone unless wikipedia give their height in feet and inches. This cm pish is just not on.

St Johnstone play Galatasaray at home next week in a European tie after drawing first leg. We are at home to East Kilbride in the Diddy McDiddy Cup. If ever there was a stark reminder of the appauling stewardship of our club over the last ten years this is it.

With Williamson and McKay out for Saturday I wouldn’t change the team too much considering how well we played at Cove.
I’d goMutch
Miller Hall Dixon McCann
Telfer Ross
Nesbitt
Morrison Keena McGuffie
I would possibly have Hetherington in for Ross but I felt Ross done well at Cove.
Think Hetherington will start instead of Ross. We need a bit of height, strength and dig there. They maybe decent on the ball, but its like the Anthill Mob in midfield.

3500 attendance allowed for Saturday, moves to 5000 after Monday 9th.

How many Livingston fans were at Ibrox yesterday? How many Celtic fans were at Tynecastle?
No sure but Ferranti sold 700 season tickets in the top league, shows you how much we're punching below our weight.

Depends on what capacity has been agreed with the local authority. Imagine if it's 2-3000 it will be home fans only, 4000 might see some tickets for away fans being made available
In talks with council atm according to David White on coyb fb page.

Encouraging performance and a decent result given the circumstances. First time in a while came out the game actually proud of our team, thats step forward. We still need to add, but have game changers in Nesbitt,Telfer, McGuffie and Morrison who roasted the lb. Have to give credit to Hall and Miller they played well. Dixon was superb.Wilson for all the stick hes getting on here from some linked up well second half and worked his socks off making some decent runs, which you can only see of you're at the game. Sheerins a breath of fresh air, but needs backed. Just good to be back at the games. Some jump aboot for the goal. Missed that.

The fact that we havent signed anyone for a couple of weeks suggest we are/ were relying heavily on this trialist pish. Its like your two boys short for the 5s with an hour until ko.' You know any mates thatl play? Aye, so n so says hes no bad.

I think it is what you say. They should have updated the fans earlier. The first statement was just about acceptable, the second was just embarrassing. The were never winning any appeal so the first statement should have just told the fans we are not happy but we will get on with it.
For too long the club has just talked and talked. Promised Jam tomorrow, blown smoke up fans arses and howled like wolves at the authorities. Time to start talking on the pitch.I mind Deans line 'we'll do our talking on the pitch', we were that bad we sounded like John Merrick on absinthe.

I can’t help thinking that Holt will be a short term appointment. Either he is out of his depth and has not got a clue what he is doing or he is trying to do things on the cheap.
The new season kicks off tomorrow and I feel really underwhelmed and lack any real excitement. Like many, I expected to see some movement on the player front this week and I cannot fathom out how a Sporting Director can honestly believe and be confident he has done enough to have us competing to win the league this year.
it would not surprise me if replaced before October. I think it is clear that Sheerin should not carry the can for this when and not if things go wrong.
A clusterf**ck about to unfold unless some new arrivals are imminent.I sincerly hope you're right. Sadly would take another onfield disaster for it to happen rather than the bod seeing through him. Hes giving Deans a run for his money in being most disliked at the club.

Nothing surprises me anymore with the authorities or indeed Falkirk. You get angry for a wee while then just shrug your shoulders and have to get on with it. Change ' expect the unexpected' to ' expect the worst'.
Our squad is well short as it is, thats not covids fault or the spfl. Now we're a month behind imo in terms of gelling, match fitness etc. First 6 games we will just have to try and stay in touch. Yet another tough season ahead.
