That’s my favourite game of all time. Have zero memory of us wearing stripes that day. Don’t know why I don’t remember it from that day, but it would make sense if Queens were wearing their pale blue shirts.

My first game. Its been downhill ever since.

Just heard today that the major shareholder is completely fed up and is eager for his shareholding to be diluted in order that he can revert to being a superfan plus but with no hassle.

Maybe these new appointees have that as a remit?

Heres hoping this is the start of the end for the MSG. Then and only then can we move forward. The Rupert Mudochesque dictatorship has dragged our club into the mire and treated lifelong fans with contempt. We live in hope.

  3. Copied this from a post from November 2017. :

    Top

: Ian McKendrick, David Eadie, Tommy McMillan, Ally Donaldson, Stuart Rennie, Stewart Wheatley, Stewart Kennedy, Ian Harley.
Middle: Alan Cousin (Reserve Coach), Jim Shirra, Alex Beckett, John Markie, Tom McLeod, Jimmy Jack, John Kennedy, Doug Somner, Robert Laurie, Bobby Donnelly, Ronnie McKenzie (Trainer), Dinky McGill (Reserve Assistant Coach).
Bottom: Wilson Hoggan, Jim Scott, George Gibson, Alex Ferguson, Willie Cunningham (Manager), Denis Setterington, Jim Robinson, David Cattenach.

Ronnie McKenzie went to the World Cup as Scotland physio in 1974 Im sure. He gave a signed ball to Stewart Kennedy who gave it to his cousin who stayed in Boness Rd in Grangemouth. The ball used to sit pride of place in a small window upstairs looking out on Boness Rd.Sometimes long lost useless info pops into your head.

Has anyone seen much of Laverty to give us an opinion on whether or not he's likely to be involved this season?

Not seen much of him but he's down as a midfielder of which we now have 7 of which doesn't leave a lot of slack for new recruits. It was the area of the team which required the biggest overhaul imo and they've pretty much went with the same. Very worrying at this point. Laverty and Leitch need to up their game and not be bench warmers,we'll need to extend the dugout as we have plenty who are only fit for the bench.

  5. Resigning Telfer is a waste of a wage. Midfield is key to everything and we have at the moment pretty much the same personnel. We can all see we needed youth and energy in there which at present we don't have .

Dowds sounds promising but will need a decent partner and to hit the ground running. And he looks like Tim Nice But Dim.

Problem is there's no pace in our midfield. You cant play him miller , connolly and a n other certainly not gomis as there's no pace or legs in the side. He's too slow to play out wide and you can't pair him with miller in the middle so I'm not sure where he fits in.

Said this about Gomes too. Good skillful player but what is his actual and best role? Its him or Millar for me not both.

The structure of Scottish Football is not going to change at the moment. The powerful do not legislate to erode their power unless they are forced.

That force will come from restructuring due to clubs going out of business. Therefore the voting structure would have to change to reflect this fundamental change in circumstances. ie Clubs out of business. New league structure required so the voting structure would have to change as well.

That is the only way that change will happen. One club one vote !

Been saying all along reconstruction would only happen once some clubs goto the wall..they'd simply have to as numbers will dictate. Won't shed a tear either.

  8. We have 8 games to go and still don't have regular settled starting 11 probably tells it's own story. However we may just have finally got our best strike partnership together in McManus and LM, compliment each other quite well. If we could only get the balance correct in central midfield things would looks lot better, we don't have the personnel to get that though.

Don’t want to single Gomis our here but wanting to make a point. He’s is a great footballer with an excellent footballing brain. He is also very tidy on the ball and generally finds the man with the pass.

However the last 2 games specifically we have needed drive
, pace and aggression (in the right way) in the midfield and that’s not what he offers.

    Spot on.

  10. Draw. Midfield is key to everything. We were short on pace and creativity pre January window and with Todd out and De Vita useless we're back to square one in that area. Still not convinced of the Miller/ Gomis combination. Telfer is a man short. Must be at it from the off to get something from the game. McManus at least gives another dimension and Longridge must start and deliver.

  11. McCracken summed up the game correctly. First half nowhere near good enough. Could tell from the off 2nd half they were more fired up. Good effort and deserved win. Have to keep momentum going.

Longridge gets a start and blows it. Sammon very frustrating but still better option than McMillan for me. Lee Miller cameo tells you where we are at as a club but if it gets us over the line well so be it.
