I have said all season it isn’t a great watch but the win is all that matters now. A good run in the next 3/4 games should see us safe and hopefully then McKinnon could take the breaks off a little and play a bit more expansively.

There were those crying out to play more expansively pre Xmas. Idiots who don't know the game or quality of player. Could have been well detached if we'd adopted that. Ruddens goals kept us in touch yet the young lad still get ridiculed.

I hope(and believe) that the Board of Directors would be willing to push the boat out with the wage budget to sign a top striker. I think the issue is more that we can't get one to come rather than any issue with finance.

I'm sure Ray has been looking for months for a 20 goal a season striker but a team at the bottom of the Scottish championship won't exactly have people queuing up.

Having said that, Conor Sammon would be an excellent signing at this level.

Folk will want to ignore this point though so they can moan.

  3. Could have won or lost yesterday such as the game went. Yes improved and more positive approach but how some of our fans think we would gel in just 2 games is incredulous. Dixon a vast improvement although derided in some quarters before he even kicked a ball for us. There's hope now but need to start winning games soon. Some of the support yesterday anxiously looking for a scapegoat to moan at now Muirheads away sad stuff.

Thing that's stood out about Thistle is that they have a lot of the ball but do very little with it. I think Caldwell preferred style of play will be very difficult to pull off in this division unless they invest a lot more than they seem to be doing.

I don't think we were particularly great though and the 2 wingbacks and Osman were noticeably poor. This weeks break will do our side the world of good and will hopefully give the team a chance to gel under a less defensive formation. I think it was right to keep that for these two games though and taking 4/6is a great return. 2 winnable home games coming up next.

Yup agree with this. We did get fortunate with the sending off but so what. If Mckinnon had went gung ho with 6 new signings and lost he'd have for slaughtered for changing it. Now however is the time for fresh, more attacking formation which I think we'l get.

See when we're announcing new signings it always says "Falkirk fc is delighted...", should it not be "Falkirk fc are delighted...". I know it's a totally minor thing and the least of the clubs problems but it annoys me everytime I see it but I'm not sure if I'm right or not!

We have a lawyer as Chairman (woman). There's no way they will get it wrong. Fine print detail a speciality.

Dixon is as uninspiring as he is a Houstie-like signing.

However, I think people need to remember where we are. Houston signings took us to some pretty lofty places in comparison.

If Paul Dixon can effectively mark, stay awake for 90 minutes and not get mercilessly rinsed by average wingers then I can see why McKinnon has signed him.

We need some steady eddies without doubt. We need to prepare for a grinding shitfest.

Aye I hope for better in the forward areas signing wise, but we have no real right to complain about the likes of Dixon. We are where we are.

IF we stay up, and I think we will, I wont be happy about this sort of signing for next season.

Stop being sensible. We should be signing top level ,up to speed superstars according to some. Some folk either don't understand the game or have an agenda to moan like f**k.

The minute you appoint a “CEO”, you are effectively renouncing “club” status, in favour of “company” status......no matter what is says on the door. We might all care as much now as we did in ‘95, but the targets are much less visible now, and t’internet has opened a shedload of avenues for spleens to be vented individually rather than collectively. It’s a great way for dissipating anger.

Back then, it was the phone and the getting together that were the only tools available. Nice and direct.

Not directing this at you ,just making a point, but we now have clowns who are bigger fans of forums and social media than they are of the club. And they're not all youngsters either.

  8. That was a tremendous 3 points yesterday, especially after last week's debacle. Players were rightly slaughtered last week, but fully deserve the praise this week. Rudden was motm  for me added more to his game and proving he can stick them away. Scenes at the end were fantastic, well done to all who travelled.

Mckinnon and staff have done great to mould something together and  have given us one thing we didn't have weeks ago...hope.

Must keep feet on ground though and continue the hard work. Coyb.

We scored our first home goal of the season with that utter diddy mind you.

Of course we should be winning 2/3/4 of those games. If we can manage to beat Alloa and a couple of draws I think that will be as good as we can get. We have stopped the goals going in but we are not going to score many if we don’t at least try to come over the halfway line.

I thought Partick pretty much dominated whether that was our choice or not they dominated

Take it your not liking us picking up points. Where was your praise last week when we won?

A blind man can see we don't have the players to go forward as we'd like,we can all see that, either you can't or are chosing to ignore that.

We'll have to agree to disagree on that one. I think hiding is the worst of his crimes, coming in just in front of picking up utterly avoidable bookings, shanking the ball out of play and followed closley by having loads of time to pick a pass and floating it aimlessly to the goalkeeper.

You'd think the only reason some folk go to the games is to abuse Paton, some were a disgrace the other night, irrespective of how good or bad he is.

  11. TOE must have been tapped by Hereford. Report them to FIFA, greet like a 2 year old and get the local rag to print pamphlets with him being burned at the stake.

Not particularly interested in her commitment or effort, I think these are the bare minimum I’d expect from someone in that position. I am interested in her ability and judgment and those can certainly be called into question.
